Markus 13
1 Und da er aus dem Tempel ging, sprach zu ihm seiner Jünger einer: Meister, siehe, welche Steine und welch ein Bau ist das!
As Jesus was coming out from the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look! What wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”
2 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Siehest du wohl allen diesen großen Bau? Nicht ein Stein wird auf dem andern bleiben, der nicht zerbrochen werde.
Jesus answered him, “Do yoʋ see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another; all of them will be torn down.”
3 Und da er auf dem Ölberge saß gegenüber dem Tempel, fragten ihn besonders Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes und Andreas:
Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
4 Sage uns, wann wird das alles geschehen, und was wird das Zeichen sein wann das alles soll vollendet werden?
“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
5 Jesus antwortete ihnen und fing an zu sagen: Sehet zu, daß euch nicht jemand verführe!
Jesus began to say to them in response, “Make sure no one leads you astray.
6 Denn es werden viele kommen unter meinem Namen und sagen: Ich bin Christus, und werden viele verführen.
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will lead many astray.
7 Wenn ihr aber hören werdet von Kriegen und Kriegsgeschrei, so fürchtet euch nicht; denn es muß also geschehen. Aber das Ende ist noch nicht da.
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
8 Es wird sich ein Volk über das andere empören und ein Königreich über das andere. Und es werden geschehen Erdbeben hin und wieder, und wird sein teure Zeit und Schrecken. Das ist der Not Anfang.
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, along with famines and riots. These are the beginning of the labor pains.
9 Ihr aber, sehet euch vor! Denn sie werden euch überantworten vor die Rathäuser und Schulen; und ihr müsset gestäupet werden und vor Fürsten und Könige müsset ihr geführet werden um meinetwillen zu einem Zeugnis über sie.
“You must watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues. For my sake you will even be set before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 Und das Evangelium muß zuvor geprediget werden unter alle Völker.
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
11 Wenn sie euch nun führen und überantworten werden, so sorget nicht, was ihr reden sollt, und bedenket euch nicht zuvor, sondern was euch zu derselbigen Stunde gegeben wird, das redet. Denn ihr seid's nicht, die da reden, sondern der Heilige Geist.
When they lead you away and hand you over, do not be anxious beforehand about what you should say. Do not give it much thought, but say whatever is given to you in that hour, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 Es wird aber überantworten ein Bruder den andern zum Tode und der Vater den Sohn, und die Kinder werden sich empören wider die Eltern und werden sie helfen töten.
Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.
13 Und werdet gehasset sein von jedermann um meines Namens willen. Wer aber beharret bis an das Ende, der wird selig.
You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 Wenn ihr aber sehen werdet den Greuel der Verwüstung, von dem der Prophet Daniel gesagt hat, daß er stehet, da er nicht soll (wer es lieset, der vernehme es!), alsdann, wer in Judäa ist, der fliehe auf die Berge;
“When you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing where it should not be” (let the reader understand), “then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
15 und wer auf dem Dache ist, der steige nicht hernieder ins Haus und komme nicht hinein, etwas zu holen aus seinem Hause;
He who is on the housetop must not come down into his house or go inside to get anything out of his house.
16 und wer auf dem Felde ist, der wende sich nicht um, seine Kleider zu holen.
And he who is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
17 Wehe aber den Schwangern und Säugerinnen zu der Zeit!
Woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!
18 Bittet aber, daß eure Flucht nicht geschehe im Winter.
Pray that your flight will not happen in winter.
19 Denn in diesen Tagen werden solche Trübsale sein, als sie nie gewesen sind bisher vom Anfang der Kreaturen, die Gott geschaffen hat, und als auch nicht werden wird.
For those days will be a time of tribulation unlike any other from the beginning of God's creation until now, and it will never be equaled again.
20 Und so der HERR diese Tage nicht verkürzt hätte, würde kein Mensch selig; aber um der Auserwählten willen, die er auserwählet hat, hat er diese Tage verkürzt.
If the Lord had not cut those days short, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the chosen, whom he has selected, he has cut those days short.
21 Wenn nun jemand zu der Zeit wird zu euch sagen: Siehe, hier ist Christus! siehe, da ist er! so glaubet nicht.
If anyone says to you at that time, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ do not believe him.
22 Denn es werden sich erheben falsche Christi und falsche Propheten, die Zeichen und Wunder tun, daß sie auch die Auserwählten verführen, so es möglich wäre.
For false christs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen.
23 Ihr aber, sehet euch vor! Siehe, ich hab's euch alles zuvor gesagt.
So you must watch out! Behold, I have told you everything in advance.
24 Aber zu der Zeit, nach dieser Trübsal, werden Sonne und Mond ihren Schein verlieren.
“But in those days, after that time of tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
25 Und die Sterne werden vom Himmel fallen, und die Kräfte der Himmel werden sich bewegen.
The stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 Und dann werden sie sehen des Menschen Sohn kommen in den Wolken mit großer Kraft und HERRLIchkeit.
Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 Und dann wird er seine Engel senden und wird versammeln seine Auserwählten von den vier Winden, von dem Ende der Erde bis zum Ende der Himmel.
And he will send his angels and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
28 An dem Feigenbaum lernet ein Gleichnis. Wenn jetzt seine Zweige saftig werden und Blätter gewinnen, so wisset ihr, daß der Sommer nahe ist.
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and put out leaves, you know that summer is near.
29 Also auch, wenn ihr sehet, daß solches geschiehet, so wisset, daß es nahe vor der Tür ist.
So also, when you see these things taking place, know that he is near, at the very gates.
30 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, dies Geschlecht wird nicht vergehen, bis daß dies alles geschehe.
Truly I say to you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have taken place.
31 Himmel und Erde werden vergehen; meine Worte aber werden nicht vergehen.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
32 Von dem Tage aber und der Stunde weiß niemand, auch die Engel nicht im Himmel, auch der Sohn nicht, sondern allein der Vater.
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven or the Son, but only the Father.
33 Sehet zu, wachet und betet; denn ihr wisset nicht, wann es Zeit ist.
Be on guard; stay alert and pray! For you do not know when the time is coming.
34 Gleich wie ein Mensch, der über Land zog und ließ sein Haus und gab seinen Knechten Macht, einem jeglichen sein Werk, und gebot dem Türhüter, er sollte wachen.
It is like a man away on a journey: When he leaves his house and gives authority to his servants, assigning to each one his task, he also commands the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 So wachet nun; denn ihr wisset nicht, wann der HERR des Hauses kommt, ob er kommt am Abend oder zu Mitternacht oder um den Hahnenschrei oder des Morgens,
Therefore keep watch, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning.
36 auf daß er nicht schnell komme und finde euch schlafend.
Otherwise, he may come suddenly and find you sleeping.
37 Was ich aber euch sage, das sage ich allen: Wachet!
What I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!”
