Maleachi 4
1 Denn siehe, es kommt ein Tag, der brennen soll wie ein Ofen; da werden alle Verächter und Gottlosen Stroh sein, und der künftige Tag wird sie anzünden, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und wird ihnen weder Wurzel noch Zweig lassen.
“For behold, the day has come, burning as a furnace, When all the proud and all those doing wickedness have been stubble, And the day that came has burned them,” said YHWH of Hosts, “That there is not left to them root or branch,
2 Euch aber, die ihr meinen Namen fürchtet, soll aufgehen die Sonne der Gerechtigkeit und Heil unter desselbigen Flügeln; und ihr sollt aus-und eingehen und zunehmen wie die Mastkälber.
But for you fearing My Name, The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, And you have gone forth, And have bounded as calves of a stall.
3 Ihr werdet die Gottlosen zertreten; denn sie sollen Asche unter euren Füßen werden des Tages, den ich machen will, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
And you have trodden down the wicked, For they are ashes under the soles of your feet, In the day that I am appointing,” said YHWH of Hosts.
4 Gedenket des Gesetzes Moses, meines Knechts, das ich ihm befohlen habe auf dem Berge Horeb an das ganze Israel, samt den Geboten und Rechten.
“Remember the Law of My servant Moses, That I commanded him in Horeb, For all Israel—statutes and judgments.
5 Siehe, ich will euch senden den Propheten Elia, ehe denn da komme der große und schreckliche Tag des HERRN.
Behold, I am sending Elijah the prophet to you, Before the coming of the great and fearful Day of YHWH.
6 Der soll das Herz der Väter bekehren zu den Kindern und das Herz der Kinder zu ihren Vätern, daß ich nicht komme und das Erdreich mit dem Bann schlage.
And he has turned back the heart of fathers to sons, And the heart of sons to their fathers, Before I come and have utterly struck the land!”
