Jeremia 48
1 Wider Moab So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Wehe der Stadt Nebo, denn sie ist zerstöret und liegt elend! Kiriathaim ist gewonnen; die Feste steht elend und ist zerrissen.
Of Moab thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel woe! to Nebo for it will be devastated it will be put to shame it will be captured Kiriathaim it will be put to shame the stronghold and it will be shattered.
2 Der Trotz Moabs ist aus, den sie an Hesbon hatten; denn man gedenkt Böses wider sie, nämlich: Kommt, wir wollen sie ausrotten, daß sie kein Volk mehr seien! Und du, Madmen, mußt auch verderbet werden; das Schwert wird hinter dich kommen.
There not again [will be] [the] praise of Moab in Heshbon people have planned on it calamity come and let us cut off it from a nation also O Madmen you will be silent after you it will go [the] sword.
3 Man höret ein Geschrei zu Horonaim von Verstören und großem Jammer.
[the] sound of A cry of distress from Horonaim devastation and destruction great.
4 Moab ist zerschlagen; man höret ihre Jungen schreien.
It will be broken Moab they will make heard a cry of distress (servants its. *Q(K)*)
5 Denn sie gehen mit Weinen den Weg hinauf gen Luhith, und die Feinde hören ein Jammergeschrei den Weg von Horonaim herab,
For [the] ascent of (Luhith *Q(K)*) with weeping someone will ascend weeping for on [the] descent of Horonaim [the] distresses of [the] crys of destruction people will hear.
6 nämlich: Hebet euch weg und errettet euer Leben! Aber du wirst sein wie die Heide in der Wüste.
Flee save life your so they may be like a juniper bush in the wilderness.
7 Darum daß du dich auf deine Gebäude verlässest und auf deine Schätze, sollst du auch gewonnen werden; und Kamos muß hinaus gefangen wegziehen samt seinen Priestern und Fürsten.
For because trusting you in deeds your and in treasures your also you you will be captured and he will go out (Chemosh *Q(k)*) in exile priests his and officials his (together. *Q(k)*)
8 Denn der Verstörer wird über alle Städte kommen, daß nicht eine Stadt entrinnen wird. Es sollen beide, die Gründe verderbet und die Ebenen verstöret werden; denn der HERR hat's gesagt.
So he may come a destroyer to every city and a city not it will escape and it will be destroyed the valley and it will be destroyed the plain which he has spoken Yahweh.
9 Gebet Moab Federn! Er wird ausgehen, als flöge er; und ihre Städte werden wüste liegen, daß niemand drinnen wohnen wird.
Give salt to Moab for [surely] flying it will go out and cities its a waste they will become from not inhabitant in them.
10 Verflucht sei, der des HERRN Werk lässig tut! Verflucht sei, der sein Schwert aufhält, daß es nicht Blut vergieße!
[is] cursed [one who] does [the] work of Yahweh slackness and [is] cursed [one who] withholds sword his from blood.
11 Moab ist von seiner Jugend auf sicher gewesen und auf seinen Hefen stille gelegen und ist nie aus einem Faß ins andere gegossen und nie ins Gefängnis gezogen; darum ist sein Geschmack ihm geblieben und sein Geruch nicht verändert worden.
It has been at ease Moab since youth its and [has been] undisturbed it to lees its and not it has been poured from vessel to vessel and in exile not it has gone there-fore it has remained taste its in it and aroma its not it has been changed.
12 Darum siehe, spricht der HERR, es kommt die Zeit, daß ich ihnen will Schröter schicken, die sie ausschroten sollen und ihre Fässer ausleeren und ihre Lägel zerschmettern.
Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will send to it [those who] tip and they will tip it and vessels its they will empty out and jars their they will smash.
13 Und Moab soll über dem Kamos zuschanden werden, gleichwie das Haus Israel über Bethel zuschanden worden ist, darauf sie sich verließen.
And it will be ashamed Moab from Chemosh just as they were ashamed [the] house of Israel from Beth-el trust their.
14 Wie dürft ihr sagen: Wir sind die Helden und die rechten Kriegsleute?
How? will you say [are] warriors we and men of strength for battle.
15 so doch Moab muß verstöret und ihre Städte erstiegen werden und ihre beste Mannschaft zur Schlachtbank herabgehen müssen, spricht der König, welcher heißt der HERR Zebaoth.
It will be devastated Moab and cities its he will go up and [the] choicest of young men its they will go down to the slaughter [the] utterance of the king [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
16 Denn der Unfall Moabs wird schier kommen, und ihr Unglück eilet sehr.
[is] near [the] disaster of Moab to coming and calamity its it will hasten exceedingly.
17 Lieber, habt doch Mitleid mit ihnen, die ihr um sie her wohnet und ihren Namen kennet, und sprechet: Wie ist die starke Rute und der herrliche Stab so zerbrochen!
Show sympathy to it O all around it and O all [those who] know name its say how! it is broken a staff of strength a staff of splendor.
18 Herab von der HERRLIchkeit, du Tochter, die du zu Dibon wohnest, und sitze in der Dürre! Denn der Verstörer Moabs wird zu dir hinaufkommen und deine Festen zerreißen.
Come down from honor (and sit *Q(K)*) in thirst O inhabitant[s] of [the] daughter of Dibon for [the] destroyer of Moab he will come up on you he will ruin strongholds your.
19 Tritt auf die Straße und schaue, du Einwohnerin Aroers; frage die, so da fliehen und entrinnen, und sprich: Wie geht es?
To [the] road stand and watch O inhabitant[s] of Aroer ask [a man who] flees and [a woman who] escapes say what? has it happened.
20 Ach, Moab ist verwüstet und verderbet, heulet und schreiet! Sagt es an zu Arnon, daß Moab verstöret sei.
It has been put to shame Moab for it has been shattered (wail and cry out *Q(K)*) declare at [the] Arnon that it has been devastated Moab.
21 Die Strafe ist über das ebene Land gegangen, nämlich über Holon, Jahza, Mephaath,
And judgment it will come to [the] land of the plain to Holon and to Jahaz and on (Mephaath. *Q(K)*)
22 Dibon, Nebo, Beth-Diblathaim,
And on Dibon and on Nebo and on Beth Diblathaim.
23 Kiriathaim, Beth-Gamul, Beth-Meon,
And on Kiriathaim and on Beth Gamul and on Beth Meon.
24 Kirioth, Bazra und über alle Städte im Lande Moab, sie liegen ferne oder nahe.
And on Kerioth and on Bozrah and on all [the] cities of [the] land of Moab far and near.
25 Das Horn Moabs ist abgehauen und ihr Arm ist zerbrochen, spricht der HERR.
It will be cut off [the] horn of Moab and arm its it will be broken [the] utterance of Yahweh.
26 Machet sie trunken (denn sie hat sich wider den HERRN erhaben), daß sie speien und die Hände ringen müsse, auf daß sie auch zum Gespött werde.
Make drunk it for on Yahweh it has magnified itself and it will splash Moab in vomit its and it will become a laughing stock also it.
27 Denn Israel hat dein Gespött sein müssen, als wäre er unter den Dieben gefunden; und weil du solches wider sie redest, sollst du auch weg müssen.
And? - not the laughing stock was it to you Israel or? among thieves (was it found *Q(K)*) for as often as words your in it you shook yourself.
28 O ihr Einwohner in Moab, verlasset die Städte und wohnet in den Felsen; und tut wie die Tauben, so da nisten in den hohlen Löchern.
Abandon cities and dwell among the rock[s] O inhabitants of Moab and be like a dove [which] it makes a nest on [the] sides of [the] mouth of a ravine.
29 Man hat immer gesagt von dem stolzen Moab, daß er sehr stolz sei, hoffärtig, hochmütig, trotzig und übermütig.
We have heard [the] pride of Moab proud very haughtiness its and pride its and boastfulness its and [the] loftiness of heart its.
30 Aber der HERR spricht: Ich erkenne seinen Zorn wohl, daß er nicht so viel vermag, und untersteht sich, mehr zu tun, denn sein Vermögen ist
I I know [the] utterance of Yahweh arrogance its and [it is] not right empty boasts its not right they have accomplished.
31 Darum muß ich über Moab heulen und über das ganze Moab schreien und über die Leute zu Kir-Heres klagen.
There-fore on Moab I will wail and for Moab all of it I will cry out concerning [the] people of Kir Heres he will groan.
32 Ich muß über dich, Jaeser, du Weinstock zu Sibma, weinen, denn deine Reben sind über das Meer gefahren und bis ans Meer Jaeser kommen. Der Verstörer ist in deine Ernte und Weinlese gefallen.
More than [the] weeping of Jazer I will weep for you O vine of Sibmah tendrils your they passed over [the] sea to [the] sea of Jazer they reached on summer fruit your and on grape harvest your a destroyer he has fallen.
33 Freude und Wonne ist aus dem Felde weg und aus dem Lande Moab, und man wird keinen Wein mehr keltern, der Weintreter wird nicht mehr sein Lied singen
And it has been removed joy and rejoicing from [the] garden-land and from [the] land of Moab and wine from wine-presses I have made to cease not anyone will tread shouting shouting not shouting.
34 von des Geschreies wegen zu Hesbon bis gen Eleale, welches bis gen Jahza erschallet, von Zoar an, der dreijährigen Kuh, bis gen Horonaim; denn auch die Wasser Nimrim sollen versiegen.
From [the] cry of distress of Heshbon to Elealeh to Jahaz people will give voice their from Zoar to Horonaim Eglath Shelishiyah for also [the] waters of Nimrim wastes they will become.
35 Und ich will, spricht der HERR, in Moab damit ein Ende machen, daß sie nicht mehr auf den Höhen opfern und ihren Göttern räuchern sollen.
And I will put an end to of Moab [the] utterance of Yahweh [one who] offers up a high place and [one who] makes smoke to gods his.
36 Darum brummet mein Herz über Moab wie eine Trommete und über die Leute zu Kir-Heres brummet mein Herz wie eine Trommete; denn sie haben's übermacht, darum müssen sie zu Boden gehen.
There-fore heart my for Moab like flutes it will groan and heart my concerning [the] people of Kir Heres like flutes it will groan there-fore [the] wealth [which] he acquired they will be lost.
37 Alle Köpfe werden kahl sein und alle Bärte abgeschoren, aller Hände zerritzt, und jedermann wird Säcke anziehen.
For every head [will be] baldness and every beard [will be] clipped [will be] on all hands cuts and [will be] on loins sackcloth.
38 Auf allen Dächern und Gassen, allenthalben in Moab wird man klagen; denn ich habe Moab zerbrochen wie ein unwertes Gefäß, spricht der HERR.
[will be] on All [the] roofs of Moab and in open places its all of it wailing for I will break Moab like a vessel [which] there not [is] pleasure in it [the] utterance of Yahweh.
39 O wie ist sie verderbt, wie heulen sie! Wie schändlich hängen sie die Köpfe! Und Moab ist zum Spott und zum Schrecken worden allen, so um sie her wohnen,
How! it has been shattered they will wail how! it has turned a neck Moab it will be ashamed and it will become Moab a laughing stock and an object of terror to all around it.
40 Denn so spricht der HERR: Siehe, er fleugt daher wie ein Adler und breitet seine Flügel aus über Moab.
For thus he says Yahweh there! like eagle someone will swoop down and he will spread out wings his against Moab.
41 Kiriath ist gewonnen, und die festen Städte sind eingenommen; und das Herz der Helden in Moab wird zur selbigen Zeit sein wie einer Frauen Herz in Kindesnöten.
It will be captured Kerioth and the strongholds it will be seized and it will be [the] heart of [the] warriors of Moab on the day that like [the] heart of a woman in labor.
42 Denn Moab muß vertilget werden, daß sie kein Volk mehr seien, darum daß es sich wider den HERRN erhaben hat.
And it will be destroyed Moab from a people for on Yahweh it has magnified itself.
43 Furcht, Grube und Strick kommt über dich, du Einwohner in Moab, spricht der HERR.
Terror and pit and snare [will be] on you O inhabitant of Moab [the] utterance of Yahweh.
44 Wer der Furcht entfleucht, der wird in die Grube fallen, und wer aus der Grube kommt, der wird im Strick gefangen werden; denn ich will über Moab kommen lassen ein Jahr ihrer Heimsuchung, spricht der HERR.
(The [one who] flees *Q(K)*) from before the terror he will fall into the pit and the [one who] climbs up from the pit he will be caught in snare for I will bring to it to Moab [the] year of punishment their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
45 Die aus der Schlacht entrinnen, werden Zuflucht suchen zu Hesbon; aber es wird ein Feuer aus Hesbon und eine Flamme aus Sihon gehen, welche die Örter in Moab und die kriegerischen Leute verzehren wird.
In [the] shadow of Heshbon they will stand from strength [those who] flee for a fire it will go forth from Heshbon and a flame from between Sihon and it consumed [the] forehead of Moab and [the] scalp of [the] sons of uproar.
46 Wehe dir, Moab! Verloren ist das Volk Kamos; denn man hat deine Söhne und Töchter genommen und gefangen weggeführet.
Woe! to you O Moab it will perish [the] people of Chemosh for they will be taken sons your in captivity and daughters your in captivity.
47 Aber in der zukünftigen Zeit will ich das Gefängnis Moabs wenden, spricht der HERR. Das sei gesagt von der Strafe über Moab.
And I will turn back [the] captivity of Moab at [the] end of the days [the] utterance of Yahweh [is] to here [the] judgment of Moab.
