Jesaja 62

1 Um Zions willen, so will ich nicht schweigen, und um Jerusalems willen, so will ich nicht innehalten, bis daß ihre Gerechtigkeit aufgehe wie ein Glanz, und ihr Heil entbrenne wie eine Fackel,

For the sake of Zion, I will not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not rest, until her Just One advances in splendor, and her Savior is kindled like a lamp.

2 daß die Heiden sehen deine Gerechtigkeit und alle Könige deine HERRLIchkeit; und du sollst mit einem neuen Namen genannt werden, welchen des HERRN Mund nennen wird.

And the Gentiles will see your Just One, and all the kings will see your Renowned One. And you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will choose.

3 Und du wirst sein eine schöne Krone in der Hand des HERRN und ein königlicher Hut in der Hand deines Gottes.

And you shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

4 Man soll dich nicht mehr die Verlassene noch dein Land eine Wüstung heißen, sondern du sollst Meine Lust an ihr« und dein Land »Lieber Buhle« heißen; denn der HERR hat Lust an dir, und dein Land hat einen lieben Buhlen.

You will no longer be called Forsaken. And your land will no longer be called Desolate. Instead, you shall be called My Will within it, and your land shall be called Inhabited. For the Lord has been well pleased with you, and your land will be inhabited.

5 Denn wie ein lieber Buhle einen Buhlen liebhat, so werden dich deine Kinder liebhaben, und wie sich ein Bräutigam freuet über der Braut, so wird sich dein Gott über dich freuen.

For the young man will live with the virgin, and your children will live with you. And the groom will rejoice over the bride, and your God will rejoice over you.

6 O Jerusalem, ich will Wächter auf deine Mauern bestellen, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nimmer stille schweigen sollen und die des HERRN gedenken sollen, auf daß bei euch kein Schweigen sei,

Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen all day and all night unceasingly; they will not be silent. You who are mindful of the Lord, you should not be silent,

7 und ihr von ihm nicht schweiget, bis daß Jerusalem gefertiget und gesetzt werde zum Lobe auf Erden.

and you should not grant silence to him, until he makes firm and establishes Jerusalem as a praise upon the earth.

8 Der HERR hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei dem Arm seiner Macht: Ich will dein Getreide nicht mehr deinen Feinden zu essen geben, noch deinen Most, daran du gearbeitet hast, die Fremden trinken lassen,

The Lord has sworn with his right hand and with the arm of his strength: “Certainly, I will no longer permit your grain to be the food of your enemies. And the sons of foreigners will not drink your wine, for which you have labored.”

9 sondern die, so es einsammeln, sollen's auch essen und den HERRN rühmen, und die ihn einbringen, sollen ihn trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.

For those who gather it will eat it, and they will praise the Lord. And those who bring it together will drink it in my holy courts.

10 Gehet hin, gehet hin durch die Tore, bereitet dem Volk den Weg; machet Bahn, machet Bahn, räumet die Steine auf; werfet ein Panier auf über die Völker!

Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare a way for the people! Make the road level, remove the stones, and lift up a sign for the people!

11 Siehe, der HERR lässet sich hören bis an der Welt Ende. Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein Heil kommt; siehe, sein Lohn ist bei ihm und seine Vergeltung ist vor ihm!

Behold, the Lord has caused it to be heard to the ends of the earth. Tell the daughter of Zion: “Behold, your Savior approaches! Behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.”

12 Man wird sie nennen das heilige Volk, die Erlösten des HERRN; und dich wird man heißen die besuchte und unverlassene Stadt.

And they will call them: The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. Then you will be called: A city sought, and not forsaken.
