Jesaja 60

1 Mache dich auf, werde licht; denn dein Licht kommt, und die HERRLIchkeit des HERRN gehet auf über dir.

Arise, be enlightened, O Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 Denn siehe, Finsternis bedeckt das Erdreich und Dunkel die Völker; aber über dir gehet auf der HERR, und seine HERRLIchkeit erscheinet über dir.

For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and a mist the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 Und die Heiden werden in deinem Lichte wandeln und die Könige im Glanz, der über dir aufgehet.

And the Gentiles shall walk in thy light, and kings in the brightness of thy rising.

4 Hebe deine Augen auf und siehe umher! Diese alle versammelt kommen zu dir! Deine Söhne werden von ferne kommen und deine Töchter zur Seite erzogen werden.

Lift up thy eyes round about, and see: all these are gathered together, they are come to thee: thy sons shall come from afar, and thy daughters shall rise up at thy side.

5 Dann wirst du deine Lust sehen und ausbrechen, und dein Herz wird sich wundern und ausbreiten, wenn sich die Menge am Meer zu dir bekehret, und die Macht der Heiden zu dir kommt.

Then shalt thou see, and abound, and thy heart shall wonder and be enlarged, when the multitude of the sea shall be converted to thee, the. strength of the Gentiles shall come to thee.

6 Denn die Menge der Kamele wird dich bedecken, die Läufer aus Midian und Epha. Sie werden aus Saba alle kommen, Gold und Weihrauch bringen und des HERRN Lob verkündigen.

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Madian and Epha: all they from Saba shall come, bringing gold and frankincense: and shewing forth praise to the Lord.

7 Alle Herden in Kedar sollen zu dir versammelt werden, und die Böcke Nebajoths sollen dir dienen. Sie sollen auf meinem angenehmen Altar geopfert werden; denn ich will das Haus meiner HERRLIchkeit zieren.

All the flocks of Cedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nabaioth shall minister to thee: they shall be offered upon my acceptable altar, and I will glorify the house of my majesty.

8 Wer sind die, welche fliegen wie die Wolken und wie die Tauben zu ihren Fenstern?

Who are these, that fly as clouds, and as doves to their windows?

9 Die Inseln harren auf mich und die Schiffe im Meer vorlängst her, daß sie deine Kinder von ferne herzubringen, samt ihrem Silber und Golde, dem Namen des HERRN, deines Gottes, und dem Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.

For, the islands wait for me, and the ships of the sea in the beginning: that I may bring thy sons from afar: their silver, and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

10 Fremde werden deine Mauern bauen, und ihre Könige werden dir dienen. Denn in meinem Zorn habe ich dich geschlagen und in meiner Gnade erbarme ich mich über dich.

And the children of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee: for in my wrath have I struck thee, and in my reconciliation have I had mercy upon thee.

11 Und deine Tore sollen stets offen stehen, weder Tag noch Nacht zugeschlossen werden, daß der Heiden Macht zu dir gebracht, und ihre Könige herzugeführet werden.

And thy gates shall be open continually: they shall not be shut day nor night, that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought to thee, and their kings may be brought.

12 Denn welche Heiden oder Königreiche dir nicht dienen wollen, die sollen umkommen, und die Heiden verwüstet werden.

For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee, shall perish: and the Gentiles shall be wasted with desolation.

13 Die HERRLIchkeit Libanons soll an dich kommen, Tannen, Buchen und Buchsbaum miteinander, zu schmücken den Ort meines Heiligtums; denn ich will die Stätte meiner Füße herrlich machen.

The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the Ar tree, and the box tree, and the pine tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.

14 Es werden auch gebückt zu dir kommen, die dich unterdrückt haben; und alle, die dich gelästert haben, werden niederfallen zu deinen Füßen und werden dich nennen eine Stadt des HERRN, ein Zion des Heiligen in Israel.

And the children of them that afflict thee, shall come bowing down to thee, and all that slandered thee shall worship the steps of thy feet, and shall call thee the city of the Lord, the Sion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 Denn darum, daß du bist die Verlassene und Gehaßte gewesen, da niemand ging, will ich dich zur Pracht ewiglich machen und zur Freude für und für,

Because thou wast forsaken, and hated, and there was none that passed through thee, I will make thee to be an everlasting glory, a joy unto generation and generation:

16 daß du sollst Milch von den Heiden saugen, und der Könige Brüste sollen dich säugen, auf daß du erfahrest, daß ich, der HERR, bin dein Heiland und ich, der Mächtige in Jakob, bin dein Erlöser.

And thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles, and thou shalt be nursed with the breasts of kings: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 Ich will Gold anstatt des Erzes und Silber anstatt des Eisens bringen und Erz anstatt des Holzes und Eisen anstatt der Steine; und will machen, daß deine Vorsteher Frieden lehren sollen und deine Pfleger Gerechtigkeit predigen.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver: and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make thy visitation peace, and thy overseers justice.

18 Man soll keinen Frevel mehr hören in deinem Lande, noch Schaden oder Verderben in deinen Grenzen, sondern deine Mauern sollen Heil und deine Tore Lob heißen.

Iniquity shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction in thy borders, and salvation shall possess thy walls, and praise thy gates.

19 Die Sonne soll nicht mehr des Tages dir scheinen, und der Glanz des Mondes soll dir nicht leuchten, sondern der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht und dein Gott wird dein Preis sein.

Thou shalt no more have the sun for thy light by day, neither shall the brightness of the moon enlighten thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and thy God for thy glory.

20 Deine Sonne wird nicht mehr untergehen, noch dein Mond den Schein verlieren, denn der HERR wird dein ewiges Licht sein, und die Tage deines Leides sollen ein Ende haben.

Thy sun shall go down no more, and thy moon shall not decrease: for the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

21 Und dein Volk soll eitel Gerechte sein und werden das Erdreich ewiglich besitzen, als die der Zweig meiner Pflanzung und ein Werk meiner Hände sind zum Preise.

And thy people shall be all just, they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hand to glorify me.

22 Aus dem Kleinsten sollen tausend werden und aus dem Geringsten ein mächtig Volk. Ich, der HERR, will solches zu seiner Zeit eilend ausrichten.

The least shall become a thousand, and a little one a most strong nation: I the Lord will suddenly do this thing in its time.
