Jesaja 5
1 Wohlan, ich will meinem Lieben ein Lied meines Vetters singen von seinem Weinberge. Mein Lieber hat einen Weinberg an einem fetten Ort.
Let me sing of my well-beloved, a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well-beloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill;
2 Und er hat ihn verzäunet und mit Steinhaufen verwahret und edle Reben drein gesenkt. Er bauete auch einen Turm drinnen und grub eine Kelter drein und wartete, daß er Trauben brächte. Aber er brachte Herlinge.
And he digged it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a vat therein; and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
3 Nun richtet, ihr Bürger zu Jerusalem und ihr Männer Judas, zwischen mir und meinem Weinberge!
And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4 Was sollte man doch mehr tun an meinem Weinberge, das ich nicht getan habe an ihm? Warum hat er denn Herlinge gebracht, da ich wartete, daß er Trauben brächte?
What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 Wohlan, ich will euch zeigen, was ich meinem Weinberge tun will. Seine Wand soll weggenommen werden, daß er verwüstet werde, und sein Zaun soll zerrissen werden, daß er zertreten werde.
And now come, I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down the fence thereof, and it shall be trodden down;
6 Ich will ihn wüste liegen lassen, daß er nicht geschnitten noch gehackt werde, sondern Disteln und Dornen drauf wachsen; und will den Wolken gebieten, daß sie nicht drauf regnen.
And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned nor hoed, but there shall come up briers and thorns; I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 Des HERRN Zebaoth Weinberg aber ist das Haus Israel und die Männer Judas seine zarte Feser. Er wartet auf Recht, siehe, so ist's Schinderei; auf Gerechtigkeit, siehe, so ist's Klage.
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah the plant of His delight; and He looked for justice, but behold violence; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
8 Wehe denen, die ein Haus an das andere ziehen und einen Acker zum andern bringen, bis daß kein Raum mehr da sei, daß sie alleine das Land besitzen!
Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
9 Es ist vor den Ohren des HERRN Zebaoth; was gilt's, wo nicht die vielen Häuser sollen wüste werden und die großen und feinen öde stehen?
In mine ears said the LORD of hosts: of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
10 Denn zehn Acker Weinberges sollen nur einen Eimer geben, und ein Malter Samens soll nur einen Scheffel geben.
For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.
11 Wehe denen, die des Morgens frühe auf sind, des Saufens sich zu fleißigen, und sitzen bis in die Nacht, daß sie der Wein erhitzt,
Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!
12 und haben Harfen, Psalter, Pauken, Pfeifen und Wein in ihrem Wohlleben und sehen nicht auf das Werk des HERRN und schauen nicht auf das Geschäft seiner Hände.
And the harp and the psaltery, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are in their feasts; but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither have they considered the operation of His hands.
13 Darum wird mein Volk müssen weggeführt werden unversehens, und werden seine HERRLIchen Hunger leiden und sein Pöbel Durst leiden.
Therefore My people are gone into captivity, for want of knowledge; and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.
14 Daher hat die Hölle die Seele weit aufgesperret und den Rachen aufgetan ohne alle Maße, daß hinunterfahren beide, ihre HERRLIchen und Pöbel, beide, ihre Reichen und Fröhlichen, (Sheol h7585)
Therefore the nether-world hath enlarged her desire, and opened her mouth without measure; and down goeth their glory, and their tumult, and their uproar, and he that rejoiceth among them. (Sheol h7585)
15 daß jedermann sich bücken müsse und jedermann gedemütiget werde, und die Augen der Hoffärtigen gedemütiget werden,
And man is bowed down, and man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled;
16 aber der HERR Zebaoth erhöhet werde im Recht, und Gott, der Heilige, geheiliget werde in Gerechtigkeit.
But the LORD of hosts is exalted through justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified through righteousness.
17 Da werden dann die Lämmer sich weiden an jener Statt, und Fremdlinge werden sich nähren in der Wüste der Fetten.
Then shall the lambs feed as in their pasture, and the waste places of the fat ones shall wanderers eat.
18 Wehe denen, die sich zusammenkoppeln mit losen Stricken, unrecht zu tun, und mit Wagenseilen, zu sündigen,
Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope,
19 und sprechen: Laß eilend und bald kommen sein Werk, daß wir's sehen; laß herfahren und kommen den Anschlag des Heiligen in Israel, daß wir's inne werden!
That say: 'Let Him make speed, let Him hasten His work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!'
20 Wehe denen, die Böses gut und Gutes böse heißen, die aus Finsternis Licht und aus Licht Finsternis machen, die aus sauer süß und aus süß sauer machen!
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that change darkness into light, and light into darkness; that change bitter into sweet, and sweet into bitter!
21 Wehe denen, die bei sich selbst weise sind und halten sich selbst für klug!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Wehe denen, so Helden sind, Wein zu saufen, und Krieger in Völlerei,
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink;
23 die den Gottlosen rechtsprechen um Geschenk willen und das Recht der Gerechten von ihnen wenden.
That justify the wicked for a reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Darum, wie des Feuers Flamme Stroh verzehret und die Lohe Stoppeln hinnimmt, also wird ihre Wurzel verfaulen und ihre Sprossen auffahren wie Staub. Denn sie verachten das Gesetz des HERRN Zebaoth und lästern die Rede des Heiligen in Israel.
Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the chaff is consumed in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, and contemned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Darum ist der Zorn des HERRN ergrimmet über sein Volk und reckt seine Hand über sie und schlägt sie, daß die Berge beben; und ihr Leichnam ist wie Kot auf den Gassen. Und in dem allem läßt sein Zorn nicht ab, sondern seine Hand ist noch ausgereckt.
Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against His people, and He hath stretched forth His hand against them, and hath smitten them, and the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
26 Denn er wird ein Panier aufwerfen ferne unter den Heiden und dieselbigen locken vom Ende der Erde. Und siehe, eilend und schnell kommen sie daher!
And He will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth; and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly;
27 Und ist keiner unter ihnen müde oder schwach, keiner schlummert noch schläft; keinem gehet der Gürtel auf von seinen Lenden, und keinem zerreißet ein Schuhriemen.
None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken;
28 Ihre Pfeile sind scharf und alle ihre Bogen gespannet. Seiner Rosse Hufe sind wie Felsen geachtet und ihre Wagenräder wie ein Sturmwind.
Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind;
29 Sie brüllen wie Löwen und brüllen wie junge Löwen; sie werden brausen und den Raub erhaschen und davonbringen, daß niemand erretten wird.
Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions, yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and carry it away safe, and there shall be none to deliver.
30 Und wird über sie brausen zu der Zeit wie das Meer. Wenn man dann das Land ansehen wird, siehe, so ist's finster vor Angst, und das Licht scheinet nicht mehr oben über ihnen.
And they shall roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea; and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and distress, and the light is darkened in the skies thereof.
