Jesaja 43
1 Und nun spricht der HERR, der dich geschaffen hat, Jakob, und dich gemacht hat, Israel: Fürchte dich nicht, denn ich habe dich erlöset; ich habe dich bei deinem Namen gerufen; du bist mein!
But now thus hath said the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; mine art thou.
2 Denn so du durch Wasser gehest, will ich bei dir sein, daß dich die Ströme nicht sollen ersäufen, und so du ins Feuer gehest, sollst du nicht brennen, und die Flamme soll dich nicht anzünden.
Whenever thou passest through the waters, I am with thee; and through the rivers, —they shall not overflow thee: whenever thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be scorched; neither shall the flame burn on thee.
3 Denn ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der Heilige in Israel, dein Heiland. Ich habe Ägypten, Mohren und Seba an deiner Statt zur Versöhnung gegeben.
For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt for thy ransom, Cush and Seba in place of thee.
4 Weil du so wert bist vor meinen Augen geachtet, mußt du auch herrlich sein, und ich habe dich lieb; darum gebe ich Menschen an deiner Statt und Völker für deine Seele.
Since thou art precious in my eyes, art honorable, and I indeed do love thee: therefore will I give men in place of thee, and nations instead of thy soul.
5 So fürchte dich nun nicht, denn ich bin bei dir. Ich will vom Morgen deinen Samen bringen und will dich vom Abend sammeln;
Fear not, for I am with thee; from the east will I bring thy seed, and from the west will I gather thee.
6 und will sagen gegen Mitternacht: Gib her! und gegen Mittag: Wehre nicht! Bringe meine Söhne von ferne her und meine Töchter von der Welt Ende,
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Withhold not: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 alle, die mit meinem Namen genannt sind, nämlich die ich geschaffen habe zu meiner HERRLIchkeit und sie zubereitet und gemacht.
Every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory; whom I have formed; yea, whom I have made.
8 Laß hervortreten das blinde Volk, welches doch Augen hat, und die Tauben, die doch Ohren haben.
Bring forward the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Laßt alle Heiden zusammenkommen zuhaufe und sich die Völker versammeln. Welcher ist unter ihnen, der solches verkündigen möge und uns hören lasse vorhin, was geschehen soll? Laßt sie ihre Zeugen darstellen und beweisen, so wird man's hören und sagen: Es ist die Wahrheit.
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can announce this? and cause us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 Ihr aber seid meine Zeugen, spricht der HERR, und mein Knecht, den ich erwählet habe, auf daß ihr wisset und mir glaubet und verstehet, daß ich's bin. Vor mir ist kein Gott gemacht, so wird auch nach mir keiner sein.
Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: in order that ye may know and believe me, and understand, that I am he; before me there was no god formed, and after me there will be none.
11 Ich, ich bin der HERR, und ist außer mir kein Heiland.
I, I am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 Ich hab's verkündiget und hab auch geholfen und hab's euch sagen lassen; und ist kein fremder (Gott) unter euch. Ihr seid meine Zeugen, spricht der HERR; so bin ich Gott.
I myself have announced it, and I have saved, and I have let it be heard, and there was no strange [god] among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and I am God.
13 Auch bin ich, ehe denn nie kein Tag war; und ist niemand, der aus meiner Hand erretten kann. Ich wirke; wer will's abwenden?
Yea, from the [first] day am I he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: if I will work, is there one that can hinder it?
14 So spricht der HERR, euer Erlöser, der Heilige in Israel: Um euretwillen habe ich gen Babel geschickt und habe die Riegel alle heruntergestoßen und die klagenden Chaldäer in die Schiffe gejagt.
Thus hath said the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, For your sake did I send to Babylon, and in swift vessels brought I them all down, and the Chaldeans, in the ships of their joyful song.
15 Ich bin der HERR, euer Heiliger, der ich Israel geschaffen habe, euer König.
I am the Lord, the Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
16 So spricht der HERR, der im Meer Weg und in starken Wassern Bahn macht;
Thus hath said the Lord, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 der herausbringt Wagen und Roß, Heer und Macht, daß sie auf einem Haufen daliegen und nicht aufstehen, daß sie verlöschen, wie ein Docht verlischt:
Who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power: together shall they lie down, they shall not rise up again; they are extinct, like a wick are they quenched.
18 Gedenket nicht an das Alte und achtet nicht auf das Vorige!
Remember not the former things, and ancient events regard no more.
19 Denn siehe, ich will ein Neues machen; jetzt soll es aufwachsen; daß ihr erfahren werdet, daß ich Weg in der Wüste mache und Wasserströme in der Einöde,
Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; will ye not acknowledge it? I will even make in the wilderness a way, and in the desert rivers.
20 daß mich das Tier auf dem Felde preise, die Drachen und Straußen. Denn ich will Wasser in der Wüste und Ströme in der Einöde geben zu tränken mein Volk; meine Auserwählten.
The beasts of the field shall honor me, the monsters and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my elect;
21 Dies Volk habe ich mir zugerichtet, es soll meinen Ruhm erzählen.
This people which I have formed for myself; my praise shall they relate.
22 Nicht daß du mich hättest gerufen, Jakob, oder daß du um mich gearbeitet hättest, Israel.
But on me hast thou not called, O Jacob; for thou art become weary of me, O Israel.
23 Mir zwar hast du nicht gebracht Schafe deines Brandopfers noch mich geehret mit deinen Opfern; mich hat deines Dienstes nicht gelüstet im Speisopfer, habe auch nicht Lust an deiner Arbeit im Weihrauch;
Thou hast not brought unto me the lamb of thy burnt-offerings; and with thy sacrifices hast thou not honored me: I have not troubled thee with meat-offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.
24 mir hast du nicht um Geld Kalmus gekauft; mich hast du mit dem Fetten deiner Opfer nicht gefüllet. Ja, mir hast du Arbeit gemacht in deinen Sünden und hast mir Mühe gemacht in deinen Missetaten.
Thou hast not bought for me sweet cane, and with the fat of thy sacrifices hast thou not satisfied me; but thou hast troubled me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.
25 Ich, ich tilge deine Übertretung um meinetwillen und gedenke deiner Sünden nicht.
I, it is I that blot out thy transgressions for my own sake, and thy sins I will not remember.
26 Erinnere mich, laß uns miteinander rechten; sage an, wie du gerecht willst sein!
Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: relate thou, in order that thou mayest be justified.
27 Deine Voreltern haben gesündiget, und deine Lehrer haben wider mich mißgehandelt.
Thy first father did sin, and they that plead for thee transgressed against me.
28 Darum habe ich die Fürsten des Heiligtums entheiliget und habe Jakob zum Bann gemacht und Israel zum Hohn.
Therefore do I profane the holy princes, and I give up Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
