Jesaja 23
1 Dies ist die Last über Tyrus: Heulet, ihr Schiffe auf dem Meer, denn sie ist zerstöret, daß kein Haus da ist, noch jemand dahin zeucht. Aus dem Lande Chittim werden sie des gewahr werden.
THE WORD CONCERNING TYRE. Howl, you ships of Carthage; for she has perished, and [men] no longer arrive from the land of the Citians: she is led captive.
2 Die Einwohner der Inseln sind stille worden. Die Kaufleute zu Zidon, die durchs Meer zogen, fülleten dich.
To whom are the dwellers in the island become like, the merchants of Phoenice, passing over the sea
3 Und was für Früchte am Sihor und Getreide am Wasser wuchs, brachte man zu ihr hinein durch große Wasser; und du warest der Heiden Markt worden.
in great waters, a generation of merchants? as when the harvest is gathered in, [so are] these traders with the nations.
4 Du magst wohl erschrecken, Zidon! Denn das Meer, ja die Feste am Meer spricht: Ich bin nicht mehr schwanger, ich gebäre nicht mehr; so ziehe ich keine Jünglinge auf und erziehe keine Jungfrauen.
Be ashamed, O Sidon: the sea has said, yes, the strength of the sea has said, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, nor have I brought up young men, nor reared virgins.
5 Gleichwie man erschrak, da man von Ägypten hörete, also wird man auch erschrecken, wenn man von Tyrus hören wird.
Moreover when it shall be heard in Egypt, sorrow shall seize them for Tyre.
6 Fahret hin aufs Meer; heulet, ihr Einwohner der Inseln!
Depart you to Carthage; howl, you that dwell in this island.
7 Ist das eure fröhliche Stadt, die sich ihres Alters rühmete? Ihre Füße werden sie ferne wegführen zu wallen.
Was not this your pride from the beginning, before she was given up?
8 Wer hätte das gemeinet, daß es Tyrus, der Krone, so gehen sollte, so doch ihre Kaufleute Fürsten sind und ihre Krämer die HERRLIchsten im Lande?
Who has devised this counsel against Tyre? Is she inferior? or has she no strength? her merchants were the glorious princes of the earth.
9 Der HERR Zebaoth hat's also gedacht, auf daß er schwächte alle Pracht der lustigen Stadt und verächtlich machte alle HERRLIchen im Lande.
The Lord of hosts has purposed to bring down all the pride of the glorious ones, and to disgrace every glorious thing on the earth.
10 Fahre hin durch dein Land wie ein Strom, du Tochter des Meers; da ist kein Gurt mehr.
Till your land; for ships no more come out of Carthage.
11 Er reckt seine Hand über das Meer und erschreckt die Königreiche. Der HERR gebeut über Kanaan, zu vertilgen ihre Mächtigen,
And your hand prevails no more by sea, which troubled kings: the Lord of hosts has given a command concerning Chanaan, to destroy the strength thereof.
12 und spricht: Du sollst nicht mehr fröhlich sein, du geschändete Jungfrau, du Tochter Zidon! O Chittim, mach dich auf und zeuch fort; denn du mußt da nicht bleiben,
And [men] shall say, You shall no longer at all continue to insult and injure the daughter of Sidon: and if you depart to the Citians, neither there shall you have rest.
13 sondern in der Chaldäer Land, das nicht ein Volk war, sondern Assur hat es angerichtet zu Schiffen und haben feste Türme drinnen aufgerichtet und Paläste aufgebauet. Aber sie ist gesetzt, daß sie geschleift werden soll.
And [if you depart] to the land of the Chaldeans, this also is laid waste by the Assyrians, for her wall is fallen.
14 Heulet, ihr Schiffe auf dem Meer; denn eure Macht ist zerstöret.
Howl, you ships of Carthage: for your strong hold is destroyed.
15 Zu der Zeit wird Tyrus vergessen werden siebenzig Jahre, solange ein König leben mag. Aber nach siebenzig Jahren wird man von Tyrus ein Hurenlied singen:
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] Tyre shall be left seventy years, as the time of a king, as the time of a man: and it shall come to pass after seventy years, [that] Tyre shall be as the song of a harlot.
16 Nimm die Harfe, gehe in der Stadt um, du vergessene Hure; mach es gut auf dem Saitenspiel und singe getrost, auf daß dein wieder gedacht werde.
Take a harp, go about, O city, you harlot that have been forgotten; play well on the harp, sing many [songs], that you may be remembered.
17 Denn nach siebenzig Jahren wird der HERR Tyrus heimsuchen, daß sie wieder komme zu ihrem Hurenlohn und Hurerei treibe mit allen Königreichen auf Erden.
And it shall come to pass after the seventy years, [that] God will visit Tyre, and she shall be again restored to her primitive state, and she shall be a mart for all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
18 Aber ihr Kaufhandel und Hurenlohn werden dem HERRN heilig sein. Man wird sie nicht zu Schatz sammeln noch verbergen, sondern die vor dem HERRN wohnen, werden ihr Kaufgut haben, daß sie essen und satt werden und wohl bekleidet sein.
And her trade and her gain shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be gathered for them, but for those that dwell before the Lord, [even] all her trade, to eat and drink and be filled, and for a covenant [and] a memorial before the Lord.
