Hosea 5
1 So höret nun dies, ihr Priester, und merke auf, du Haus Israel, und nimm zu Ohren, du Haus des Königs; denn es wird eine Strafe über euch gehen, die ihr ein Strick zu Mizpa und ein ausgespannet Netz zu Thabor worden seid.
Hear this, O ye priests, and attend, ye house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king, for unto you pertaineth the judgment; for ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 Mit Schlachten vertiefen sie sich in ihrem Verlaufen, darum muß ich sie allesamt strafen.
And they that fall away are gone deep in making slaughter; and I am rejected of them all.
3 Ich kenne Ephraim wohl, und Israel ist vor mir nicht verborgen, daß Ephraim nun eine Hure ist, und Israel ist unrein.
I, even I, know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from Me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast committed harlotry, Israel is defiled.
4 Sie denken nicht danach, daß sie sich kehreten zu ihrem Gott; denn sie haben einen Hurengeist in ihrem Herzen und lehren vom HERRN nicht.
Their doings will not suffer them to return unto their God; for the spirit of harlotry is within them, and they know not the LORD.
5 Darum soll die Hoffart Israels vor ihrem Angesicht gedemütiget werden, und sollen beide, Israel und Ephraim, fallen um ihrer Missetat willen; auch soll Juda samt ihnen fallen.
But the pride of Israel shall testify to his face; and Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity, Judah also shall stumble with them.
6 Alsdann werden sie kommen mit ihren Schafen und Rindern, den HERRN zu suchen, aber nicht finden; denn er hat sich von ihnen gewandt.
With their flocks and with their herds they shall go to seek the LORD, but they shall not find Him; He hath withdrawn Himself from them.
7 Sie verachten den HERRN und zeugen fremde Kinder; darum wird sie auch der Neumond fressen mit ihrem Erbteil.
They have dealt treacherously against the LORD, for they have begotten strange children; now shall the new moon devour them with their portions.
8 Ja, blaset Posaunen zu Gibea, ja, trommetet zu Rama, ja rufet zu Beth-Aven: Hinter dir, Benjamin!
Blow ye the horn in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah; sound an alarm at Beth-aven: 'Behind thee, O Benjamin!'
9 Denn Ephraim soll zur Wüste werden zur Zeit, wenn ich sie strafen werde. Davor hab ich die Stämme Israels treulich gewarnet.
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke; among the tribes of Israel do I make known that which shall surely be.
10 Die Fürsten Judas sind gleich denen, so die Grenze verrücken; darum will ich meinen Zorn über sie ausschütten wie Wasser.
The princes of Judah are like them that remove the landmark; I will pour out My wrath upon them like water.
11 Ephraim leidet Gewalt und wird geplagt; daran geschiehet ihm recht; denn er hat sich gegeben auf (Menschen-)Gebot.
Oppressed is Ephraim, crushed in his right; because he willingly walked after filth.
12 Ich bin dem Ephraim eine Motte und dem Hause Juda eine Made.
Therefore am I unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 Und da Ephraim seine Krankheit und Juda seine Wunden fühlete, zog Ephraim hin zu Assur und schickte zum Könige zu Jareb; aber er konnte euch nicht helfen noch eure Wunden heilen.
And when Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Contentious; but he is not able to heal you, neither shall he cure you of your wound.
14 Denn ich bin dem Ephraim wie ein Löwe, und dem Hause Juda wie ein junger Löwe. Ich, ich zerreiße sie und gehe davon und führe sie weg, und niemand kann sie retten.
For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, will tear and go away, I will take away, and there shall be none to deliver.
15 Ich will wiederum an meinen Ort gehen, bis sie ihre Schuld erkennen und mein Angesicht suchen; wenn's ihnen übel gehet, so werden sie mich frühe suchen müssen (und sagen):
I will go and return to My place, till they acknowledge their guilt, and seek My face; in their trouble they will seek Me earnestly:
