1 Mose 30
1 Da Rahel sah, daß sie dem Jakob nichts gebar, neidete sie ihre Schwester und sprach zu Jakob: Schaffe mir Kinder! Wo nicht, so sterbe ich.
Forsothe Rachel seiy, that sche was vnfruytful, and hadde enuye to the sister, and seide to hir hosebonde, Yyue thou fre children to me, ellis Y schal die.
2 Jakob aber ward sehr zornig auf Rahel und sprach: Bin ich doch nicht Gott, der dir deines Leibes Frucht nicht geben will.
To whom Jacob was wrooth, and answerde, Wher Y am for God, which haue priued thee fro the fruyt of thi wombe?
3 Sie aber sprach: Siehe, da ist meine Magd Bilha; lege dich zu ihr, daß sie auf meinem Schoß gebäre, und ich doch durch sie erbauet werde.
And sche seide, Y haue `a seruauntesse Bala, entre thou to hir that she childe on my knees, and that Y haue sones of hir.
4 Und sie gab ihm also Bilha, ihre Magd, zum Weibe; und Jakob legte sich zu ihr.
And sche yaf to hym Bala in to matrimony;
5 Also ward Bilha schwanger und gebar Jakob einen Sohn.
and whanne the hosebonde hadde entrid to hir, sche conseyuede, and childide a sone.
6 Da sprach Rahel: Gott hat meine Sache gerichtet und meine Stimme erhöret und mir einen Sohn gegeben. Darum hieß sie ihn Dan.
And Rachel seide, the Lord demede to me, and herde my preier, and yaf a sone to me; and therfor sche clepide his name Dan.
7 Abermal ward Bilha, Rahels Magd, schwanger und gebar Jakob den andern Sohn.
And eft Bala conseyuede, and childide anothir sone,
8 Da sprach Rahel: Gott hat es gewandt mit mir und meiner Schwester, und ich werde es ihr zuvortun. Und hieß ihn Naphthali.
for whom Rachel seide, The Lord hath maad me lijk to my sistir, and Y wexide strong; and sche clepide hym Neptalym.
9 Da nun Lea sah, daß sie aufgehöret hatte zu gebären, nahm sie ihre Magd Silpa und gab sie Jakob zum Weibe.
Lya feelide that sche ceesside to bere child, and sche yaf Selfa, hir handmayde, to the hosebonde.
10 Also gebar Silpa, Leas Magd, Jakob einen Sohn.
And whanne Selfa aftir conseyuyng childide a sone, Lya seide, Blessidly;
11 Da sprach Lea: Rüstig! Und hieß ihn Gad.
and therfor sche clepide his name Gad.
12 Danach gebar Silpa, Leas Magd, Jakob den andern Sohn.
Also Selfa childide anothir sone,
13 Da sprach Lea: Wohl mir, denn mich werden selig preisen die Töchter. Und hieß ihn Asser.
and Lia seide, This is for my blis, for alle wymmen schulen seie me blessid; therfor sche clepide hym Aser.
14 Ruben ging aus zur Zeit der Weizenernte und fand Dudaim auf dem Felde und brachte sie heim seiner Mutter Lea. Da sprach Rahel zu Lea: Gib mir der Dudaim deines Sohnes ein Teil.
Forsothe Ruben yede out in to the feeld in the tyme of wheete heruest, and foond mandragis, whiche he brouyte to Lya, his modir. And Rachel seide, Yyue thou to me a part of the mandragis of thi sone.
15 Sie antwortete: Hast du nicht genug, daß du mir meinen Mann genommen hast, und willst auch die Dudaim meines Sohnes nehmen? Rahel sprach: Wohlan, laß ihn diese Nacht bei dir schlafen um die Dudaim deines Sohnes.
Lya answeride, Whether it semeth litil to thee, that thou hast rauyschid the hosebonde fro me, no but thou take also the mandragis of my sone? Rachel seide, The hosebonde sleepe with thee in this nyyt for the mandragis of thi sone.
16 Da nun Jakob des Abends vom Felde kam, ging ihm Lea hinaus entgegen und sprach: Bei mir sollst du liegen; denn ich habe dich erkauft um die Dudaim meines Sohnes. Und er schlief die Nacht bei ihr.
And whanne Jacob cam ayen fro the feeld at euentid, Lya yede out in to his comyng, and seide, Thou shalt entre to me, for Y haue hired thee with hire for the mandragis of my sone. He slepte with hir in that nyyt;
17 Und Gott erhörete Lea, und sie ward schwanger und gebar Jakob den fünften Sohn
and God herde hir preiers, and sche conseyuede, and childide the fyuethe sone;
18 und sprach: Gott hat mir gelohnet, daß ich meine Magd meinem Manne gegeben habe. Und hieß ihn Isaschar.
and seide, God yaf meede to me, for Y yaf myn handmayde to myn hosebond; and sche clepide his name Isacar.
19 Abermal ward Lea schwanger und gebar Jakob den sechsten Sohn;
Eft Lia conseyuede, and childide the sixte sone,
20 und sprach: Gott hat mich wohl beraten; nun wird mein Mann wieder bei mir wohnen, denn ich habe ihm sechs Söhne geboren. Und hieß ihn Sebulon.
and seide, The Lord hath maad me riche with a good dower, also in this tyme myn hosebonde schal be with me, for Y childide sixe sones to hym; and therfore sche clepide his name Sabulon.
21 Danach gebar sie eine Tochter, die hieß sie Dina.
Aftir whom sche childide a douyter, Dyna bi name.
22 Der HERR gedachte aber an Rahel und erhörte sie und machte sie fruchtbar.
Also the Lord hadde mynde on Rachel, and herde hir, and openyde hir wombe.
23 Da ward sie schwanger und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Gott hat meine Schmach von mir genommen.
And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, God hath take a wey my schenschipe; and sche clepid his name Joseph,
24 Und hieß ihn Joseph und sprach: Der HERR wolle mir noch einen Sohn dazu geben!
and seide, The Lord yyue to me another sone.
25 Da nun Rahel den Joseph geboren hatte, sprach Jakob zu Laban: Laß mich ziehen und reisen an meinen Ort und in mein Land.
Sotheli whanne Joseph was borun, Jacob seide to his wyues fadir, Delyuere thou me, that Y turne ayen in to my cuntrey and to my lond.
26 Gib mir meine Weiber und meine Kinder, darum ich dir gedienet habe, daß ich ziehe; denn du weißest meinen Dienst, wie ich dir gedienet habe.
Yyue thou to me my wyues and fre children for whiche Y seruede thee, that Y go; forsothe thou knowist the seruyce bi which Y seruede thee.
27 Laban sprach zu ihm: Laß mich Gnade vor deinen Augen finden. Ich spüre, daß mich der HERR segnet um deinetwillen.
Laban seide to hym, Fynde Y grace in thi siyt, Y haue lerned bi experience that God blesside me for thee;
28 Stimme den Lohn, den ich dir geben soll.
ordeyne thou the meede which Y schal yyue to thee.
29 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Du weißest, wie ich dir gedienet habe, und was du für Vieh hattest unter mir.
And he answeride, Thou woost hou Y seruede thee, and hou greet thi possessioun was in myn hondis;
30 Du hattest wenig, ehe ich herkam; nun aber ist's ausgebreitet in die Menge, und der HERR hat dich gesegnet durch meinen Fuß. Und nun, wann soll ich auch mein Haus versorgen?
thou haddist litil bifore that Y cam to thee, and now thou art maad riche, and the Lord blesside thee at myn entryng; therfor it is iust that Y purueye sum tyme also to myn hows.
31 Er aber sprach: Was soll ich dir denn geben? Jakob sprach: Du sollst mir nichts überall geben, sondern so du mir tun willst, das ich sage, so will ich wiederum weiden und hüten deiner Schafe.
And Laban seide, What schal Y yyue to thee? And Jacob seide, Y wole no thing but if thou doist that that Y axe, eft Y schal fede and kepe thi scheep.
32 Ich will heute durch alle deine Herde gehen und aussondern alle fleckichten und bunten Schafe und alle schwarzen Schafe unter den Lämmern und die bunten und fleckichten Ziegen. Was nun bunt und fleckicht fallen wird, das soll mein Lohn sein.
Cumpasse thou alle thi flockis, and departe thou alle diuerse scheep and of spottid flees, and what euer thing schal be dun, and spottid, and dyuerse, as wel in scheep as in geet, it schal be my mede.
33 So wird mir meine Gerechtigkeit zeugen heute oder morgen, wenn es kommt, daß ich meinen Lohn von dir nehmen soll, also daß, was nicht fleckicht oder bunt oder nicht schwarz sein wird unter den Lämmern und Ziegen, das sei ein Diebstahl bei mir.
And my riytfulnesse schal answere to me to morewe, whanne the tyme of couenaunt schal come bifor thee; and alle that ben not dyuerse and spottid and dunne, as well in sheep as in geet, schulen repreue me of thefte.
34 Da sprach Laban: Siehe da, es sei, wie du gesagt hast.
And Laban seide, Y haue acceptable that that thou axist.
35 Und sonderte des Tages die sprenglichten und bunten Böcke und alle fleckichten und bunten Ziegen, wo nur was Weißes daran war, und alles, was schwarz war unter den Lämmern, und tat's unter die Hand seiner Kinder.
And he departide in that dai the geet, and scheep, geet buckis, and rammes, dyuerse and spottid. Sothely he bitook al the flok of o coloure, that is, of white and of blak flees in the hond of hise sones;
36 Und machte Raum dreier Tagereisen weit zwischen ihm und Jakob. Also weidete Jakob die übrige Herde Labans.
and he settide the space of weie of thre daies bitwixe hise sones and the hosebonde of hise douytris, that fedde othere flockis` of hym.
37 Jakob aber nahm Stäbe von grünen Pappelbäumen, Haseln und Kastanien und schälete weiße Streifen daran, daß an den Stäben das Weiße bloß ward,
Therfor Jacob took greene yerdis of popeleris, and of almoundis, and of planes, and in parti dide awei the rynde of tho, and whanne the ryndis weren `drawun a wei, whitnesse apperide in these that weren maad bare; sothely tho that weren hoole dwelliden grene, and bi this maner the coloure was maad dyuerse.
38 und legte die Stäbe, die er geschälet hatte, in die Tränkrinnen vor die Herden, die da kommen mußten zu trinken, daß sie empfangen sollten, wenn sie zu trinken kämen.
And Jacob puttide tho yerdis in the trowis, where the watir was held out, that whanne the flockis schulden come to drynke, thei schulden haue the yerdis bifor the iyen, and schulden conseyue in the siyt of the yerdis.
39 Also empfingen die Herden über den Stäben und brachten sprenglichte, fleckichte und bunte.
And it was doon that in thilke heete of riding the sheep schulde biholde the yerdis, and that thei schulden brynge forth spotti beestis, and dyuerse, and bispreynt with dyuerse colour.
40 Da schied Jakob die Lämmer und tat die abgesonderte Herde zu den fleckichten und schwarzen in der Herde Labans; und machte ihm eine eigene Herde, die tat er nicht zu der Herde Labans.
And Jacob departide the floc, and puttide the yerdis in the trowis bifor the iyen of the rammys. Sotheli alle the white and blake weren Labans; sotheli the othere weren Jacobis; for the flockis weren departid bytwixe hem silf.
41 Wenn aber der Lauf der Frühlinger Herde war, legte er diese Stäbe an die Rinnen vor die Augen der Herde, daß sie über den Stäben empfingen.
Therfor whanne the scheep weren ridun in the firste tyme, Jacob puttide the yerdis in the `trouyis of watir bifor the iyen of rammys and of scheep, that thei schulden conseyue in the siyt of tho yerdis.
42 Aber in der Spätlinger Lauf legte er sie nicht hinein. Also wurden die Spätlinge des Laban, aber die Frühlinge des Jakob.
Forsothe whanne the late medlyng and the laste conseyuyng weren, Jacob puttide not tho yerdis; and tho that weren late, weren maad Labans, and tho that weren of the firste tyme weren Jacobis.
43 Daher ward der Mann über die Maße reich, daß er viel Schafe, Mägde und Knechte, Kamele und Esel hatte.
And he was maad ful riche, and hadde many flockis, handmaydis, and seruauntis, camels, and assis.
