Hesekiel 38
1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 Du Menschenkind, wende dich gegen Gog, der im Lande Magog ist und der oberste Fürst ist in Mesech und Thubal, und weissage von ihm
Son of man, set thy face against Gog, of the land of Magog, prince of Resh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 und sprich: So spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich, Gog, der du der oberste Fürst bist aus den HERREN in Mesech und Thubal.
and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Resh, Meshech, and Tubal!
4 Siehe, ich will dich herumlenken und will dir einen Zaum ins Maul legen und will dich herausführen mit all deinem Heer, Roß und Mann, die alle wohlgekleidet sind, und ist ihrer ein großer Haufe, die alle Tartschen und Schild und Schwert führen.
And I will turn thee about, and put rings into thy jaws; and I will bring thee forth, thee and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in gorgeous apparel, even a great multitude with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.
5 Du führest mit dir Perser, Mohren und Libyer, die alle Schild und Helme führen,
Persians, Ethiopians, and Lybians are with them, all of them with shields and helmets.
6 dazu Gomer und all sein Heer samt dem Hause Thogarma, so gegen Mitternacht liegt, mit all seinem Heer; ja, du führest ein groß Volk mit dir.
Gomer and all his bands, the house of Togarmah from the north quarters, and all their hosts, many nations are with thee.
7 Wohlan, rüste dich wohl, du und alle deine Haufen, so bei dir sind; und sei du ihr Hauptmann!
Be prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou and all thy host that are assembled unto thee, and be thou their leader!
8 Nach langer Zeit sollst du heimgesucht werden. Zur letzten Zeit wirst du kommen in das Land, das vom Schwert wiedergebracht und aus vielen Völkern zusammenkommen ist, nämlich auf die Berge Israels, welche lange Zeit wüst gewesen sind und nun ausgeführet aus vielen Völkern und alle sicher wohnen.
After many days shalt thou be appointed over them. In the latter years shalt thou come into a land that is brought back from the sword, gathered out of many nations upon the mountains of Israel, which had been long desolate; but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell securely, all of them.
9 Du wirst heraufziehen und daherkommen mit großem Ungestüm und wirst sein wie eine Wolke, das Land zu bedecken, du und all dein Heer und das große Volk mit dir.
Thou shalt go up like a storm, thou shalt come like a cloud, to cover the land, thou and all thy bands, and many nations with thee.
10 So spricht der HERR HERR: Zu der Zeit wirst du dir solches vornehmen und wirst's böse im Sinn haben
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: At the same time shall thoughts come into thy mind, and thou shalt meditate an evil design,
11 und gedenken: Ich will das Land ohne Mauern überfallen und über die kommen, so still und sicher wohnen, als die alle ohne Mauern dasitzen und haben weder Riegel noch Tor,
and shalt say, “I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 auf daß du rauben und plündern mögest und deine Hand lassen gehen über die Verstörten, so wieder bewohnet sind, und über das Volk, so aus den Heiden zusammengerafft ist und sich in die Nahrung und Güter geschickt hat und mitten im Lande wohnet.
to take a spoil and to divide a prey, to turn my hand against the desolated places that have become inhabited, and against a people gathered out of the nations, possessing cattle and goods, dwelling in the heights of the earth.”
13 Das Reicharabien, Dedan und die Kaufleute auf dem Meer und alle Gewaltigen, die daselbst sind, werden zu dir sagen: Ich meine ja, du seiest recht kommen zu rauben, und hast deine Haufen versammelt zu plündern, auf daß du wegnehmest Silber und Gold und sammelst Vieh und Güter und großen Raub treibest.
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, and all the chiefs thereof, shall say to thee, “Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to divide a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, and to divide great spoil?”
14 Darum so weissage, du Menschenkind, und sprich zu Gog: So spricht der HERR HERR: Ist's nicht also, daß du wirst merken, wenn mein Volk Israel sicher wohnen wird?
Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwelleth securely, thou shalt observe it,
15 So wirst du kommen aus deinem Ort, nämlich von den Enden gegen Mitternacht, du und ein groß Volk mit dir, alle zu Roß, ein großer Haufe und ein mächtiges Heer.
and thou shalt come up from the regions of the North, thou and many nations with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty host;
16 Und wirst heraufziehen über mein Volk Israel wie eine Wolke, das Land zu bedecken. Solches wird zur letzten Zeit geschehen. Ich will dich aber darum in mein Land kommen lassen, auf daß die Heiden mich erkennen, wie ich an dir, o Gog, geheiliget werde vor ihren Augen.
thou shalt come up against my people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land; in the latter days it shall come to pass, that I will bring thee against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in regard to thee, before their eyes, O Gog!
17 So spricht der HERR HERR: Du bist's, von dem ich vorzeiten gesagt habe durch meine Diener, die Propheten in Israel, die zur selbigen Zeit weissagten, daß ich dich über sie kommen lassen wollte.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou not he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants, the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days and years, that I would bring thee against them?
18 Und es wird geschehen zur Zeit, wenn Gog kommen wird über das Land Israel, spricht der HERR HERR, wird heraufziehen mein Zorn in meinem Grimm.
And it shall come to pass in that day, in the day when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, that my anger shall ascend in fury.
19 Und ich rede solches in meinem Eifer und im Feuer meines Zorns. Denn zur selbigen Zeit wird groß Zittern sein im Lande Israel,
For in my jealousy, in the fire of my wrath, have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel,
20 daß vor meinem Angesicht zittern sollen die Fische im Meer, die Vögel unter dem Himmel, das Vieh auf dem Felde und alles, was sich regt und wegt auf dem Lande, und alle Menschen, so auf der Erde sind; und sollen die Berge umgekehret werden, und die Wände und alle Mauern zu Boden fallen.
so that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field; and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the ground, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence; and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 Ich will aber über ihn rufen das Schwert auf allen meinen Bergen, spricht der HERR HERR, daß eines jeglichen Schwert soll wider den andern sein.
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord Jehovah, and they shall all turn their swords against each other,
22 Und ich will ihn richten mit Pestilenz und Blut und will regnen lassen Platzregen mit Schloßen, Feuer und Schwefel über ihn und sein Heer und über das große Volk, das mit ihm ist.
And I will contend against him with pestilence, and with blood; and overflowing showers, and great hailstones, fire and brimstone, will I rain upon him and his hosts, and the many nations that are with him.
23 Also will ich denn herrlich, heilig und bekannt werden vor vielen Heiden, daß sie erfahren sollen, daß ich der HERR bin.
Thus will I show myself in my greatness and glory, and make myself known before the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
