Hesekiel 22

1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

2 Du Menschenkind, willst du nicht strafen die mörderische Stadt und ihr anzeigen alle ihre Greuel?

Now thou sonne of man, wilt thou iudge, wilt thou iudge this bloody citie? wilt thou shew her all her abominations?

3 Sprich: So spricht der HERR HERR: O Stadt, die du der Deinen Blut vergeußest, auf daß deine Zeit komme, und die du Götzen bei dir machst, damit du dich verunreinigest!

Then say, Thus sayth the Lord God, The citie sheddeth blood in the middes of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against her selfe to pollute her selfe.

4 Du verschuldest dich an dem Blut, das Du vergeußest, und verunreinigest dich an den Götzen, die du machst; damit bringest du deine Tage herzu und machst, daß deine Jahre kommen müssen. Darum will ich dich zum Spott unter den Heiden und zum Hohn in allen Ländern machen.

Thou hast offended in thy blood, that thou hast shed, and hast polluted thy selfe in thine idols, which thou hast made, and thou hast caused thy dayes to draw neere, and art come vnto thy terme: therefore haue I made thee a reproch to the heathen, and a mocking to all countreys.

5 Beide, in der Nähe und in der Ferne, sollen sie dein spotten, daß du ein schändlich Gerücht haben und großen Jammer leiden müssest.

Those that be neere, and those that be farre from thee, shall mocke thee, which art vile in name and sore in affliction.

6 Siehe die Fürsten in Israel! Ein jeglicher ist mächtig bei dir, Blut zu vergießen.

Beholde, the princes of Israel euery one in thee was ready to his power, to shed blood.

7 Vater und Mutter verachten sie; den Fremdlingen tun sie Gewalt und Unrecht; die Witwen und Waisen schinden sie.

In thee haue they despised father and mother: in the middes of thee haue they oppressed the stranger: in thee haue they vexed the fatherlesse and the widowe.

8 Du verachtest meine Heiligtümer und entheiligest meine Sabbate.

Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast polluted my Sabbaths.

9 Verräter sind in dir, auf daß sie Blut vergießen. Sie essen auf den Bergen und handeln mutwilliglich in dir;

In thee are men that cary tales to shed blood: in thee are they that eate vpon the mountaines: in ye mids of thee they comit abomination.

10 sie blößen die Scham der Väter und nötigen die Weiber in ihrer Krankheit

In thee haue they discouered their fathers shame: in thee haue they vexed her that was polluted in her floures.

11 und treiben untereinander, Freund mit Freundes Weibe, Greuel; sie schänden ihre eigene Schnur mit allem Mutwillen; sie notzüchtigen ihre eigenen Schwestern, ihres Vaters Töchter;

And euery one hath committed abomination with his neighbours wife, and euery one hath wickedly defiled his daughter in lawe, and in thee hath euery man forced his owne sister, euen his fathers daughter.

12 sie nehmen Geschenke, auf daß sie Blut vergießen; sie wuchern und übersetzen einander und treiben ihren Geiz wider ihren Nächsten und tun einander Gewalt und vergessen mein also, spricht der HERR HERR.

In thee haue they taken giftes to shed blood: thou hast taken vsurie and the encrease, and thou hast defrauded thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.

13 Siehe, ich schlage meine Hände zusammen über den Geiz, den du treibest, und über das Blut, so in dir vergossen ist.

Beholde, therefore I haue smitten mine hands vpon thy couetousnesse, that thou hast vsed, and vpon the blood, which hath bene in the middes of thee.

14 Meinest du aber, dein Herz möge es erleiden oder deine Hände ertragen zu der Zeit, wenn ich's mit dir machen werde? Ich, der HERR, hab es geredet und will's auch tun

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the dayes that I shall haue to doe with thee? I the Lord haue spoken it, and will doe it.

15 und will dich zerstreuen unter die Heiden und dich verstoßen in die Länder und will deines Unflats ein Ende machen,

And I wil scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countreys, and will cause thy filthines to cease from thee.

16 daß du bei den Heiden mußt verflucht geachtet werden und erfahren, daß ich der HERR sei.

And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thy selfe in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.

17 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

18 Du Menschenkind, das Haus Israel ist mir zu Schaum worden; all ihr Erz, Zinn, Eisen und Blei ist im Ofen zu Silberschaum worden.

Sonne of man, the house of Israel is vnto me as drosse: all they are brasse, and tinne, and yron, and leade in the mids of the fornace: they are euen the drosse of siluer.

19 Darum spricht der HERR HERR also: Weil ihr denn alle Schaum worden seid, siehe, so will ich euch alle gen Jerusalem zusammentun.

Therefore, thus sayth the Lord God, Because ye are all as drosse, beholde, therefore I will gather you in the middes of Ierusalem.

20 Wie man Silber, Erz, Eisen, Blei und Zinn zusammentut im Ofen, daß man ein Feuer darunter aufblase und zerschmelze es, also will ich euch auch in meinem Zorn und Grimm zusammentun, einlegen und schmelzen.

As they gather siluer and brasse, and yron, and leade, and tinne into the middes of the fornace, to blowe the fire vpon it to melt it, so wil I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and wil put you there and melt you.

21 Ja, ich will euch sammeln und das Feuer meines Zorns unter euch aufblasen, daß ihr drinnen zerschmelzen müsset.

I wil gather you, I say, and blowe the fire of my wrath vpon you, and you shalbe melted in the mids thereof.

22 Wie das Silber zerschmilzet im Ofen, so sollt ihr auch drinnen zerschmelzen und erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, meinen Grimm über euch ausgeschüttet habe.

As siluer is melted in the mids of the fornace, so shall ye be melted in the mids thereof, and ye shall knowe, that I the Lord haue powred out my wrath vpon you.

23 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:

And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

24 Du Menschenkind, sprich zu ihnen: Du bist ein Land, das nicht zu reinigen ist, wie eins, das nicht beregnet wird zur Zeit des Zorns.

Sonne of man, say vnto her; Thou art the land, that is vncleane, and not rained vpon in the day of wrath.

25 Die Propheten, so drinnen sind, haben sich gerottet, die Seelen zu fressen, wie ein brüllender Löwe, wenn er raubet; sie reißen Gut und Geld zu sich und machen der Witwen viel drinnen.

There is a conspiracie of her prophets in the mids thereof like a roaring lyon, rauening the praye: they haue deuoured soules: they haue taken the riches and precious things: they haue made her many widowes in the mids thereof.

26 Ihre Priester verkehren mein Gesetz freventlich und entheiligen mein Heiligtum; sie halten unter dem Heiligen und Unheiligen keinen Unterschied und lehren nicht, was rein oder unrein sei, und warten meiner Sabbate nicht; und ich werde unter ihnen entheiliget.

Her Priests haue broken my Lawe, and haue defiled mine holy things: they haue put no difference betweene the holy and prophane, neither discerned betweene the vncleane, and the cleane, and haue hid their eyes from my Sabbaths, and I am prophaned among them.

27 Ihre Fürsten sind drinnen wie die reißenden Wölfe, Blut zu vergießen und Seelen umzubringen, um ihres Geizes willen.

Her princes in the mids thereof are like wolues, rauening the praye to shed blood, and to destroy soules for their owne couetous lucre.

28 Und ihre Propheten tünchen sie mit losem Kalk, predigen lose Teidinge und weissagen ihnen Lügen und sagen: So spricht der HERR HERR! so es doch der HERR nicht geredet hat.

And her prophets haue dawbed them with vntempered morter, seeing vanities, and diuining lies vnto them, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God, when the Lord had not spoken.

29 Das Volk im Lande übet Gewalt und rauben getrost und schinden die Armen und Elenden und tun den Fremdlingen Gewalt und Unrecht.

The people of the land haue violently oppressed by spoyling and robbing, and haue vexed the poore and the needy: yea, they haue oppressed the stranger against right.

30 Ich suchte unter ihnen, ob jemand sich eine Mauer machte und wider den Riß stünde vor mir für das Land, daß ich's nicht verderbete; aber ich fand keinen.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make vp the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

31 Darum schüttete ich meinen Zorn über sie und mit dem Feuer meines Grimms machte ich ihrer ein Ende und gab ihnen also ihren Verdienst auf ihren Kopf, spricht der HERR HERR.

Therefore haue I powred out mine indignation vpon them, and consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their owne wayes haue I rendred vpon their heads, sayth the Lord God.
