Epheser 1
1 Paulus, ein Apostel Jesu Christi durch den Willen Gottes: Den Heiligen zu Ephesus und Gläubigen an Christo Jesu.
Pavl an Apostle of Jesvs Christ by the will of God, to the Saints, which are at Ephesus, and to ye faithfull in Christ Iesus:
2 Gnade sei mit euch und Friede von Gott, unserm Vater, und dem HERRN Jesu Christo!
Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
3 Gelobet sei Gott und der Vater unsers HERRN Jesu Christi, der uns gesegnet hat mit allerlei geistlichem Segen in himmlischen Gütern durch Christum;
Blessed be God, and the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, which hath blessed vs with all spirituall blessing in heauenly thinges in Christ,
4 wie er uns denn erwählet hat durch denselbigen, ehe der Welt Grund gelegt war, daß wir sollten sein heilig und unsträflich vor ihm in der Liebe;
As hee hath chosen vs in him, before the foundation of the worlde, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in loue:
5 und hat uns verordnet zur Kindschaft gegen ihn selbst durch Jesum Christum, nach dem Wohlgefallen seines Willens,
Who hath predestinate vs, to be adopted through Iesus Christ in him selfe, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 zu Lob seiner herrlichen Gnade, durch welche er uns hat angenehm gemacht in dem Geliebten,
To the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherewith he hath made vs freely accepted in his beloued,
7 an welchem wir haben die Erlösung durch sein Blut, nämlich die Vergebung der Sünden, nach dem Reichtum seiner Gnade,
By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace:
8 welche uns reichlich widerfahren ist durch allerlei Weisheit und Klugheit.
Whereby he hath bene aboundant toward vs in all wisedome and vnderstanding,
9 Und hat uns wissen lassen das Geheimnis seines Willens nach seinem Wohlgefallen und hat dasselbige hervorgebracht durch ihn,
And hath opened vnto vs the mysterie of his will according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in him,
10 daß es geprediget würde, da die Zeit erfüllet war, auf daß alle Dinge zusammengefasset würden in Christo, beide, das im Himmel und auch auf Erden ist, durch ihn selbst,
That in the dispensation of the fulnesse of the times, he might gather together in one all things, both which are in heauen, and which are in earth, euen in Christ:
11 durch welchen wir auch zum Erbteil kommen sind, die wir zuvor verordnet sind nach dem Vorsatz des, der alle Dinge wirket nach dem Rat seines Willens,
In whom also we are chosen when we were predestinate according to ye purpose of him, which worketh all things after the counsell of his owne will,
12 auf daß wir etwas seien zu Lob seiner HERRLIchkeit, die wir zuvor auf Christum hoffen;
That we, which first trusted in Christ, should be vnto the praise of his glorie:
13 durch welchen auch ihr gehöret habt das Wort der Wahrheit, nämlich das Evangelium von eurer Seligkeit; durch welchen ihr auch, da ihr glaubetet, versiegelt worden seid mit dem Heiligen Geist der Verheißung,
In whom also ye haue trusted, after that ye heard the worde of trueth, euen the Gospel of your saluation, wherein also after that ye beleeued, ye were sealed with the holy Spirite of promise,
14 welcher ist das Pfand unsers Erbes zu unserer Erlösung, daß wir sein Eigentum würden zu Lob seiner HERRLIchkeit.
Which is the earnest of our inheritance, for the redemption of that libertie purchased vnto the prayse of his glory.
15 Darum auch ich, nachdem ich gehöret habe von dem Glauben bei euch an den HERRN Jesum und von eurer Liebe zu allen Heiligen,
Therefore also after that I heard of the faith, which ye haue in the Lord Iesus, and loue toward all the Saints,
16 höre ich nicht auf, zu danken für euch, und gedenke euer in meinem Gebet,
I cease not to giue thankes for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17 daß der Gott unsers HERRN Jesu Christi, der Vater der HERRLIchkeit, gebe euch den Geist der Weisheit und der Offenbarung zu seiner selbst Erkenntnis
That the God of our Lord Iesus Christ, that Father of glory, might giue vnto you the Spirit of wisedome, and reuelation through the acknowledging of him,
18 und erleuchtete Augen eures Verständnisses, daß ihr erkennen möget, welche da sei die Hoffnung eurer Berufung, und welcher sei der Reichtum seines herrlichen Erbes an seinen Heiligen,
That the eyes of your vnderstanding may be lightened, that ye may knowe what the hope is of his calling, and what the riches of his glorious inheritance is in the Saints,
19 und welche da sei die überschwengliche Größe seiner Kraft an uns, die wir glauben nach der Wirkung seiner mächtigen Stärke,
And what is the exceeding greatnesse of his power toward vs, which beleeue, according to the working of his mightie power,
20 welche er gewirket hat in Christo, da er ihn von den Toten auferwecket hat und gesetzt zu seiner Rechten im Himmel
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his right hand in the heauenly places,
21 über alle Fürstentümer, Gewalt, Macht, HERRSChaft und alles, was genannt mag werden, nicht allein in dieser Welt, sondern auch in der zukünftigen. (aiōn g165)
Farre aboue al principalitie, and power, and might, and domination, and euery Name, that is named, not in this world only, but also in that that is to come, (aiōn g165)
22 Und hat alle Dinge unter seine Füße getan und hat ihn gesetzt zum Haupt der Gemeinde über alles,
And hath made all things subiect vnder his feete, and hath giuen him ouer all things to be the head to the Church,
23 welche da ist sein Leib, nämlich die Fülle des, der alles in allen erfüllet.
Which is his body, euen the fulnesse of him that filleth all in all things.
