5 Mose 8
1 Alle Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete, sollt ihr halten, daß ihr danach tut, auf daß ihr lebet und gemehret werdet und einkommet und einnehmet das Land, das der HERR euren Vätern geschworen hat.
All the commandment which I [am] commanding you this day you will take care! to observe so that you may live! and you will increase and you will go and you will take possession of the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your.
2 Und gedenkest all des Weges, durch den dich der HERR, dein Gott, geleitet hat diese vierzig Jahre in der Wüste, auf daß er dich demütigte und versuchte, daß kund würde, was in deinem Herzen wäre, ob du seine Gebote halten würdest oder nicht.
And you will remember all the way which he led you Yahweh God your this forty year[s] in the wilderness so as to humble you to put to [the] test you to know [that] which [was] in heart your ¿ will you keep (commandments his *Q(K)*) or? not.
3 Er demütigte dich und ließ dich hungern, und speisete dich mit Man, das du und deine Väter nie erkannt hattest, auf daß er dir kundtäte, daß der Mensch nicht lebe vom Brot allein, sondern von allem, das aus dem Munde des HERRN gehet.
And he humbled you and he caused to hunger you and he caused to eat you (*L(abh)*) the manna which not you had known and not they had known! ancestors your so as to make know you that not on the bread by only it he lives humankind for on every utterance of [the] mouth of Yahweh he lives humankind.
4 Deine Kleider sind nicht veraltet an dir, und deine Füße sind nicht geschwollen diese vierzig Jahre.
Clothing your not it wore out from on you and foot your not it swelled this forty year[s].
5 So erkennest du ja in deinem Herzen, daß der HERR, dein Gott, dich gezogen hat, wie ein Mann seinen Sohn zeucht.
And you will know with heart your that just as he disciplines everyone child his Yahweh God your [is] disciplining you.
6 So halte nun die Gebote des HERRN, deines Gottes, daß du in seinen Wegen wandelst und fürchtest ihn.
And you will keep [the] commandments of Yahweh God your by walking in ways his and by fearing him.
7 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, führet dich in ein gut Land, ein Land, da Bäche und Brunnen und Seen innen sind, die an den Bergen und in den Auen fließen;
For Yahweh God your [will] bring you into a land good a land of torrents of water springs and deeps [which] go forth in the valley and on the mountain.
8 ein Land, da Weizen, Gerste, Weinstöcke, Feigenbäume und Granatäpfel innen sind; ein Land, da Ölbäume und Honig innen wächset;
A land of wheat and barley and vine and fig tree and pomegranate a land of olive tree of oil and honey.
9 ein Land, da du Brot genug zu essen hast, da auch nichts mangelt; ein Land, dessen Steine Eisen sind, da du Erz aus den Bergen hauest.
A land which not in scarcity you will eat in it food not you will lack anything in it a land which stones its [are] iron and from hills its you will dig copper.
10 Und wenn du gegessen hast und satt bist, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, lobest für das gute Land, das er dir gegeben hat!
And you will eat and you will be satisfied and you will bless Yahweh God your on the land good which he has given to you.
11 So hüte dich nun, daß du des HERRN, deines Gottes, nicht vergessest damit, daß du seine Gebote und seine Gesetze und Rechte, die ich dir heute gebiete, nicht haltest;
Take heed to yourself lest you should forget Yahweh God your to not to keep commandments his and judgments his and statutes his which I [am] commanding you this day.
12 daß, wenn du nun gegessen hast und satt bist und schöne Häuser erbauest und drinnen wohnest,
Lest you should eat and you will be satisfied and houses good you will build and you will dwell.
13 und deine Rinder und Schafe und Silber und Gold und alles, was du hast, sich mehret,
And herd your and flock your they will increase! and silver and gold it will increase of you and all that [belongs] to you it will increase.
14 daß dann dein Herz sich nicht erhebe, und vergessest des HERRN, deines Gottes, der dich aus Ägyptenland geführet hat, aus dem Diensthause,
And it will be lifted up heart your and you will forget Yahweh God your who brought out you from [the] land of Egypt from a house of slaves.
15 und hat dich geleitet durch die große und grausame Wüste, da feurige Schlangen und Skorpione und eitel Dürre und kein Wasser war, und ließ dir Wasser aus dem harten Felsen gehen,
Who led you in the wilderness - great and awesome snake - fiery and scorpion and thirsty ground where there not [was] water who brought forth for you water from [the] rock of flint.
16 und speisete dich mit Man in der Wüste, von welchem deine Väter nichts gewußt haben, auf daß er dich demütigte und versuchte, daß er dir hernach wohltäte.
Who caused to eat you manna in the wilderness which not they had known! ancestors your so as to humble you and so as to put to [the] test you to do good to you in end your.
17 Du möchtest sonst sagen in deinem Herzen: Meine Kräfte und meiner Hände Stärke haben mir dies Vermögen ausgerichtet;
And you will say in heart your strength my and [the] might of hand my it has acquired for me the wealth this.
18 sondern daß du gedächtest an den HERRN, deinen Gott; denn er ist's, der dir Kräfte gibt, solch mächtige Taten zu tun, auf daß er hielte seinen Bund, den er deinen Vätern geschworen hat, wie es gehet heutigestages.
And you will remember Yahweh God your that he [is] the [one who] gives to you strength to acquire wealth so as to carry out covenant his which he swore to ancestors your as the day this.
19 Wirst du aber des HERRN, deines Gottes, vergessen und andern Göttern nachfolgen und ihnen dienen und sie anbeten, so bezeuge ich heute über euch, daß ihr umkommen werdet;
And it will be certainly [if] you will forget Yahweh God your and you will walk after gods other and you will serve them and you will bow down to them I testify against you this day that certainly you will perish!
20 eben wie die Heiden, die der HERR umbringet vor eurem Angesicht, so werdet ihr auch umkommen, darum daß ihr nicht gehorsam seid der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes.
Like the nations which Yahweh [is] about to destroy from before you so you will perish! consequence not you will listen! to [the] voice of Yahweh God your.
