Kolosser 1
1 Paulus, ein Apostel Jesu Christi durch den Willen Gottes, und Bruder Timotheus:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timotheus the brother,
2 Den Heiligen zu Kolossä und den gläubigen Brüdern in Christo. Gnade sei mit euch und Friede von Gott, unserm Vater, und dem HERRN Jesu Christo!
to the holy ones in Colossae, and to the faithful brothers in Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
3 Wir danken Gott und dem Vater unsers HERRN Jesu Christi und beten allezeit für euch,
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,
4 nachdem wir gehöret haben von eurem Glauben an Christum Jesum und von der Liebe zu allen Heiligen,
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that [is] to all the holy ones,
5 um der Hoffnung willen, die euch beigelegt ist im Himmel, von welcher ihr zuvor gehöret habt durch das Wort der Wahrheit im Evangelium,
because of the hope that is laid up for you in the heavens, which you heard of beforehand by the word of the truth of the good news,
6 das zu euch kommen ist wie auch in alle Welt und ist fruchtbar wie auch in euch von dem Tage an, da ihr's gehöret habt und erkannt die Gnade Gottes in der Wahrheit.
which has come to you, as also in all the world, and is bearing fruit, as also in you, from the day in which you heard, and knew the grace of God in truth,
7 Wie ihr denn gelernet habt von Epaphras, unserm lieben Mitdiener, welcher ist ein treuer Diener Christi für euch,
as you also learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful servant of the Christ for you,
8 der uns auch eröffnet hat eure Liebe im Geist.
who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
9 Derhalben auch wir von dem Tage an, da wir's gehöret haben, hören wir nicht auf, für euch zu beten und zu bitten, daß ihr erfüllet werdet mit Erkenntnis seines Willens in allerlei geistlicher Weisheit und Verstand,
Because of this, we also, from the day in which we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
10 daß ihr wandelt würdiglich dem HERRN zu allem Gefallen und fruchtbar seid in allen guten Werken
to walk worthily of the LORD, pleasing in all, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God,
11 und wachset in der Erkenntnis Gottes und gestärket werdet mit aller Kraft nach seiner herrlichen Macht in aller Geduld und Langmütigkeit mit Freuden;
in all might being made mighty according to the power of His glory, to all endurance and long-suffering with joy.
12 und danksaget dem Vater, der uns tüchtig gemacht hat zu dem Erbteil der Heiligen im Licht,
Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us for the participation of the inheritance of the holy ones in the light,
13 welcher uns errettet hat von der Obrigkeit der Finsternis und hat uns versetzt in das Reich seines lieben Sohnes,
who rescued us out of the authority of the darkness, and translated [us] into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 an welchem wir haben die Erlösung durch sein Blut, nämlich die Vergebung der Sünden,
in whom we have the redemption [[through His blood]], the forgiveness of sins,
15 welcher ist das Ebenbild des unsichtbaren Gottes, der Erstgeborene vor allen Kreaturen.
who is the image of the invisible God, firstborn of all creation,
16 Denn durch ihn ist alles geschaffen, was im Himmel und auf Erden ist, das Sichtbare und Unsichtbare, beide, die Thronen und HERRSChaften und Fürstentümer und Obrigkeiten; es ist alles durch ihn und zu ihm geschaffen.
because all things were created in Him, those in the heavens, and those on the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him,
17 Und er ist vor allen; und es bestehet alles in ihm.
and He is before all, and all things have consisted in Him.
18 Und er ist das Haupt des Leibes, nämlich der Gemeinde; welcher ist der Anfang und der Erstgeborene von den Toten, auf daß, er in allen Dingen den Vorrang habe.
And He is the head of the body—the Assembly—who is a beginning, a firstborn out of the dead, that He might become first in all [things] Himself,
19 Denn es ist das Wohlgefallen gewesen, daß in ihm alle Fülle wohnen sollte,
because all the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him,
20 und alles durch ihn versöhnet würde zu ihm selbst, es sei auf Erden oder im Himmel, damit, daß er Frieden machte durch das Blut an seinem Kreuz durch sich selbst.
and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself—having made peace through the blood of His Cross—through Him, whether the things on the earth, whether the things in the heavens.
21 Und euch, die ihr weiland Fremde und Feinde waret durch die Vernunft in bösen Werken,
And you—once being alienated, and enemies in the mind, in the evil works, yet now He reconciled,
22 nun aber hat er euch versöhnet mit dem Leibe seines Fleisches durch den Tod, auf daß er euch darstellete heilig und unsträflich und ohne Tadel vor ihm selbst,
in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and unblemished, and unblameable before Himself,
23 so ihr anders bleibet im Glauben gegründet und fest und unbeweglich von der Hoffnung des Evangeliums, welches ihr gehöret habt, welches geprediget ist unter aller Kreatur, die unter dem Himmel ist, welches ich, Paulus, Diener worden bin.
if you also remain in the faith, being founded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the good news, which you heard, which was preached in all the creation that [is] under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a servant.
24 Nun freue ich mich in meinem Leiden, das ich für euch leide, und erstatte an meinem Fleisch, was noch mangelt an Trübsalen in Christo für seinen Leib, welcher ist die Gemeinde,
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up the things lacking of the tribulations of the Christ in my flesh for His body, which is the Assembly,
25 welcher ich ein Diener worden bin nach dem göttlichen Predigtamt, das mir gegeben ist unter euch, daß ich das Wort Gottes reichlich predigen soll,
of which I became a servant according to the dispensation of God, that was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,
26 nämlich das Geheimnis, das verborgen gewesen ist von der Welt her und von den Zeiten her, nun aber offenbaret ist seinen Heiligen, (aiōn g165)
the secret that has been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was revealed to His holy ones, (aiōn g165)
27 welchen Gott gewollt hat kundtun, welcher da sei der herrliche Reichtum dieses Geheimnisses unter den Heiden, welches ist Christus in euch, der da ist die Hoffnung der HERRLIchkeit,
to whom God willed to make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this secret among the nations—which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory,
28 den wir verkündigen, und vermahnen alle Menschen und lehren alle Menschen mit aller Weisheit, auf daß wir darstellen einen jeglichen Menschen vollkommen in Christo Jesu,
whom we proclaim, warning every man, and teaching every man, in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,
29 daran ich auch arbeite und ringe nach der Wirkung des, der in mir kräftiglich wirket.
for which I also labor, striving according to His working that is working in me in power.
