2 Timotheus 2
1 So sei nun stark, mein Sohn, durch die Gnade in Christo Jesu!
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
2 Und was du von mir gehöret hast durch viel Zeugen, das befiehl treuen Menschen, die da tüchtig sind, auch andere zu lehren.
And those (doctrines) which thou hast heard from me by many witnesses, them commit to faithful men, who are also able to teach others.
3 Leide dich als ein guter Streiter Jesu Christi!
And endure evils as a good soldier of Jeshu Meshiha.
4 Kein Kriegsmann flicht sich in Händel der Nahrung, auf daß er gefalle dem, der ihn angenommen hat.
No man serveth as a soldier, and entangleth himself with the affairs of the world, that he might please him who hath chosen him.
5 Und so jemand auch kämpfet, wird er doch nicht gekrönet, er kämpfe denn recht.
And if one contendeth, he is not crowned, unless according to his law he contend.
6 Es soll aber der Ackermann, der den Acker bauet, der Früchte am ersten genießen. Merke, was ich sage!
It becometh the husbandman who laboureth that he should first eat of his fruits.
7 Der HERR aber wird dir in allen Dingen Verstand geben.
Understand what I say to thee. Our Lord give thee wisdom in all things.
8 Halt im Gedächtnis Jesum Christum, der auferstanden ist von den Toten, aus dem Samen Davids, nach meinem Evangelium,
Remember Jeshu Meshiha, that he arose from among the dead, he who is of the seed of David, according to my gospel;
9 über welchem ich leide bis an die Bande als ein Übeltäter. Aber Gottes Wort ist nicht gebunden.
for which I endure evils unto bonds, as an evil-doer: but the word of Aloha is not bound.
10 Darum dulde ich alles um der Auserwählten willen, auf daß auch sie die Seligkeit erlangen in Christo Jesu mit ewiger HERRLIchkeit. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure every thing on account of the elect, that they also may find salvation in Jeshu Meshiha, with the glory that is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
11 Das ist je gewißlich wahr: Sterben wir mit, so werden wir mitleben;
Faithful is the word: For if we be dead with him, With him also we shall live;
12 dulden wir, so werden wir mitherrschen; verleugnen wir, so wird er uns auch verleugnen.
And if we endure, We shall also reign with him; But, if we deny him, He also will deny us!
13 Glauben wir nicht, so bleibet er treu; er kann sich selbst nicht leugnen.
And if we believe him not, He in his faithfulness abideth; For deny himself he cannot.
14 Solches erinnere sie und bezeuge vor dem HERRN, daß sie nicht um Worte zanken, welches nichts nütze ist, denn zu verkehren, die da zuhören.
Of these (truths) remind them, and testify before our Lord, that they contend not with unprofitable words, to the overturning of those who hear them.
15 Befleißige dich, Gott zu erzeigen einen rechtschaffenen, unsträflichen Arbeiter, der da recht teile das Wort der Wahrheit.
And be careful to establish thyself perfectly before Aloha, a workman without shame, preaching rightly the word of truth.
16 Des ungeistlichen; losen Geschwätzes entschlage dich; denn es hilft viel zum ungöttlichen Wesen.
From vain words which have no utility in them withdraw; for they add greatly to the wickedness of those who are occupied with them.
17 Und ihr Wort frißt um sich wie der Krebs, unter welchen ist Hymenäus und Philetus,
And their words as an eating cancer will lay hold upon many: but one of them is Hymeneos, and another Philetos,
18 welche der Wahrheit gefehlet haben und sagen, die Auferstehung sei schon geschehen, und haben etlicher Glauben verkehret.
who have erred from the truth, saying, that the resurrection of the dead hath been, and the faith of some overturning.
19 Aber der feste Grund Gottes bestehet und hat dieses Siegel: Der HERR kennet die Seinen, und: Es trete ab von Ungerechtigkeit, wer den Namen Christi nennet.
But the true foundation of Aloha standeth; and it hath this signature: And the Lord knoweth them who are his. And, Let every one who invoketh the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
20 In einem großen Hause aber sind nicht allein güldene und silberne Gefäße, sondern auch hölzerne und irdene und etliche zu Ehren, etliche aber zu Unehren.
But in a great house there are not vessels of gold only or of silver, but also of wood, also of clay: of them (some are) to honour, and of them (some) to dishonour.
21 So nun jemand sich reiniget von solchen Leuten, der wird ein geheiliget Faß sein zu Ehren, dem Hausherrn bräuchlich und zu allem guten Werk bereitet.
If a man then purify himself from these, he will be a pure vessel unto honour, fitted for the use of his Lord, and prepared for every good work.
22 Flieh die Lüste der Jugend! Jage aber nach der Gerechtigkeit, dem Glauben, der Liebe, dem Frieden mit allen, die den HERRN anrufen von reinem Herzen.
From all the lusts of youth escape; and pursue after righteousness, and faith, and charity, and peace, with them who call upon the Lord with a pure heart.
23 Aber der törichten und unnützen Fragen entschlage dich; denn du weißt, daß sie nur Zank gebären.
From foolish controversies which are without instruction withdraw; for thou knowest that they beget strifes.
24 Ein Knecht aber des HERRN soll nicht zänkisch sein, sondern freundlich gegen jedermann, lehrhaftig, der die Bösen tragen kann mit Sanftmut
But a servant of the Lord oweth not to strive, but to be gentle towards every man, and teaching, and long-suffering,
25 und strafe die Widerspenstigen, ob ihnen Gott dermaleinst Buße gäbe die Wahrheit zu erkennen,
that he may instruct them who would contend against him with meekness, if by any means Aloha may give them conversion, and they may acknowledge the truth,
26 und wieder nüchtern würden aus des Teufels Strick, von dem sie gefangen sind zu seinem Willen.
and be mindful of themselves, and remove from the snare of Satana, by whom they have been entrapped at his will.
