2 Petrus 1
1 Simon Petrus, ein Knecht und Apostel Jesu Christi: Denen, die mit uns eben denselbigen teuren Glauben überkommen haben in der Gerechtigkeit, die unser Gott gibt und der Heiland Jesus Christus.
SHEMUN PETROS, a servant of Jeshu Meshiha, to those who by faith the same in preciousness with us have been made equal, through the righteousness of our Lord and our Redeemer Jeshu Meshiha.
2 Gott gebe euch viel Gnade und Frieden durch die Erkenntnis Gottes und Jesu Christi, unsers HERRN!
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
3 Nachdem allerlei seiner göttlichen Kraft (was zum Leben und göttlichen Wandel dienet) uns geschenket ist durch die Erkenntnis des, der uns berufen hat durch seine HERRLIchkeit und Tugend,
As He who all (things) which of the divine power are unto life and godliness hath given (us), through the knowledge of Him who hath called us unto the glory of him and of virtue,
4 durch welche uns die teuren und allergrößten Verheißungen geschenket sind, nämlich daß ihr durch dasselbige teilhaftig werdet der göttlichen Natur, so ihr fliehet die vergängliche Lust der Welt:
by annunciations great and precious which he hath given to you, that by them you may be partakers of the divine nature, while you escape the corruption of the lusts which are in the world;
5 so wendet allen euren Fleiß daran und reichet dar in eurem Glauben Tugend und in der Tugend Bescheidenheit
So, with this, bringing in all diligence, add to your faith virtue; but to virtue knowledge,
6 und in der Bescheidenheit Mäßigkeit und in der Mäßigkeit Geduld und in der Geduld Gottseligkeit
but to knowledge perseverance, but to perseverance patience, but to patience godliness,
7 und in der Gottseligkeit brüderliche Liebe und in der brüderlichen Liebe gemeine Liebe.
but to godliness brotherly kindness, but to brotherly kindness love.
8 Denn wo solches reichlich bei euch ist, wird's euch nicht faul noch unfruchtbar sein lassen in der Erkenntis unsers HERRN Jesu Christi.
For while these are found with you, and abound, neither slothfulness nor unfruitfulness will stand against you in the knowledge of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
9 Welcher aber solches nicht hat, der ist blind und tappet mit der Hand und vergißt der Reinigung seiner vorigen Sünden.
For he with whom these are not found is blind, and seeth not, and hath forgotten the purification of his former sins.
10 Darum, liebe Brüder, tut desto mehr Fleiß, eure Berufung und Erwählung festzumachen. Denn wo ihr solches tut, werdet ihr nicht straucheln.
Upon this the more, my brethren, be careful, that by your good works your calling and your election you may confirm; for, while you do these, you will never lapse;
11 Und also wird euch reichlich dargereicht werden der Eingang zu dem ewigen Reich unsers HERRN und Heilandes Jesu Christi. (aiōnios g166)
for so abundantly shall be given to you the entrance of the eternal kingdom of our Lord and our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha. (aiōnios g166)
12 Darum will ich's nicht lassen, euch allezeit solches zu erinnern, wiewohl ihr's wisset und gestärkt seid in der gegenwärtigen Wahrheit.
Wherefore it doth not weary me to remind you constantly of these, that you may know well, and be established upon this truth.
13 Denn ich achte es billig sein, solange ich in dieser Hütte bin, euch zu erwecken und zu erinnern.
But I consider it right, so long as I am in this body, to stir you up in remembrance:
14 Denn ich weiß, daß ich meine Hütte bald ablegen muß, wie mir denn auch unser HERR Jesus Christus eröffnet hat.
knowing that the decease of my body is shortly (to be, ) as also our Lord Jeshu Meshiha hath made me know.
15 Ich will aber Fleiß tun, daß ihr allenthalben habet nach meinem Abschied, solches im Gedächtnis zu halten.
But be careful also that (these) you may continually have; that also after my going forth the memorial of them you may observe.
16 Denn wir haben nicht den klugen Fabeln gefolget, da wir euch kundgetan haben die Kraft und Zukunft unsers HERRN Jesu Christi, sondern wir haben seine HERRLIchkeit selber gesehen,
For it is not after fables which are made with art that we have gone, in making known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, but as we were spectators of his majesty.
17 da er empfing von Gott dem Vater Ehre und Preis durch eine Stimme, die zu ihm geschah von der großen HERRLIchkeit dermaßen: Dies ist mein lieber Sohn, an dem ich Wohlgefallen habe.
For when he received from Aloha the Father honour and glory, while a voice came to him as this, after the glorious beauty of his majesty, This is my Son, the Beloved, in whom I have delighted;
18 Und diese Stimme haben wir gehöret vom Himmel gebracht, da wir mit ihm waren auf dem heiligen Berge.
we also this voice heard from heaven, as it came to him when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 Wir haben ein festes prophetisches Wort, und ihr tut wohl, daß ihr darauf achtet als auf ein Licht, das da scheinet in einem dunkeln Ort, bis der Tag anbreche, und der Morgenstern aufgehe in euren Herzen.
We have that which is sure also, the word of prophecy; that into which you do well to look, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the sun arise in your hearts.
20 Und das sollt ihr für das erste wissen, daß keine Weissagung in der Schrift geschieht aus eigener Auslegung;
While this first you know, that every prophecy of the scripture its own solution is not.
21 denn es ist noch nie keine Weissagung aus menschlichem Willen hervorgebracht; sondern die heiligen Menschen Gottes haben geredet, getrieben von dem Heiligen Geist.
For not by the will of man came any prophecy, but while by the Holy Spirit led spake the holy men of God.
