2 Chronik 21

1 Und Josaphat entschlief mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids; und sein Sohn Joram ward König an seiner Statt.

And he lay down Jehoshaphat with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Jehoram son his in place of him.

2 Und er hatte Brüder, Josaphats Söhne, Asarja, Jehiel, Sacharja, Asarja, Michael und Sephatja; diese waren alle Kinder Josaphats, des Königs Judas.

And [belonged] to him brothers [the] sons of Jehoshaphat Azariah and Jehiel and Zechariah and Azariahu and Michael and Shephatiah all these [were] [the] sons of Jehoshaphat [the] king of Israel.

3 Und ihr Vater gab ihnen viel Gaben von Silber, Gold und Kleinod mit festen Städten in Juda; aber das Königreich gab er Joram, denn der war der Erstgeborne.

And he had given to them - father their gifts many to silver and to gold and to excellent things with cities of fortifications in Judah and the kingdom he gave to Jehoram for he [was] the firstborn.

4 Da aber Joram aufkam über das Königreich seines Vaters und sein mächtig ward, erwürgete er seine Brüder alle mit dem Schwert, dazu auch etliche Oberste in Israel.

And he arose Jehoram over [the] kingdom of father his and he strengthened himself and he killed all brothers his with the sword and also some of [the] leaders of Israel.

5 Zweiunddreißig Jahre alt war Joram, da er König ward, und regierete acht Jahre zu Jerusalem.

[was] a son of Thirty and two year[s] Jehoram when became king he and eight years he reigned in Jerusalem.

6 Und wandelte in dem Wege der Könige Israels, wie das Haus Ahab getan hatte, denn Ahabs Tochter war sein Weib; und tat, das dem HERRN übel gefiel.

And he walked in [the] way of - [the] kings of Israel just as they did [the] house of Ahab for [the] daughter of Ahab she was of him wife and he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.

7 Aber der HERR wollte das Haus David nicht verderben um des Bundes willen, den er mit David gemacht hatte, und wie er geredet hatte, ihm eine Leuchte zu geben und seinen Kindern immerdar.

And not he was willing Yahweh to destroy [the] house of David on account of the covenant which he had made to David and since he had said to give to him a lamp and to descendants his all the days.

8 Zu seiner Zeit fielen die Edomiter ab von Juda und machten über sich einen König.

In days his it rebelled Edom from under [the] hand of Judah and they made king over them a king.

9 Denn Joram war hinübergezogen mit seinen Obersten, und alle Wagen mit ihm, und hatte sich des Nachts aufgemacht und die Edomiter um ihn her und die Obersten der Wagen geschlagen.

And he passed over Jehoram with commanders his and all the chariotry with him and it was he arose night and he struck down Edom which was surrounding him and [the] commanders of the chariotry.

10 Darum fielen die Edomiter ab von Juda bis auf diesen Tag. Zur selben Zeit fiel Libna auch von ihm ab. Denn er verließ den HERRN, seiner Väter Gott.

And it has rebelled Edom from under [the] hand of Judah until the day this then it rebelled Libnah at the time that from under hand his for he had forsaken Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his.

11 Auch machte er Höhen auf den Bergen in Juda und machte die zu Jerusalem huren und verführete Juda.

Also he he made high places in [the] mountains of Judah and he made prostitute [themselves] [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and he thrust aside Judah.

12 Es kam aber Schrift zu ihm von dem Propheten Elia, die lautete also: So spricht der HERR, der Gott deines Vaters David: Darum daß du nicht gewandelt hast in den Wegen deines Vaters Josaphat noch in den Wegen Assas, des Königs Judas,

And it came to him a writing from Elijah the prophet saying thus - he says Yahweh [the] God of David ancestor your because that not you have walked in [the] ways of Jehoshaphat father your and in [the] ways of Asa [the] king of Judah.

13 sondern wandelst in dem Wege der Könige Israels und machest, daß Juda und die zu Jerusalem huren nach der Hurerei des Hauses Ahab, und hast dazu deine Brüder deines Vaters Hauses erwürget, die besser waren denn du,

And you have walked in [the] way of [the] kings of Israel and you have made prostitute [themselves] Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem as made [them] prostitute [themselves] [the] house of Ahab and also brothers your [the] house of father your good more than you you killed.

14 siehe, so wird dich der HERR mit einer großen Plage schlagen an deinem Volk, an deinen Kindern, an deinen Weibern und an all deiner Habe.

Here! Yahweh [is] about to strike a blow great on people your and on sons your and on wives your and on all property your.

15 Du aber wirst viel Krankheit haben in deinem Eingeweide, bis daß dein Eingeweide vor Krankheit herausgehe von Tage zu Tage.

And you [will be] in sickness great in [the] sickness of bowels your until they will come out bowels your from the sickness days to days.

16 Also erweckte der HERR wider Joram den Geist der Philister und Araber, die neben den Mohren liegen;

And he stirred up Yahweh on Jehoram [the] spirit of the Philistines and the Arabs who [were] on [the] hand [the] Cushites.

17 und zogen herauf nach Juda und zerrissen sie und führeten weg alle Habe, die vorhanden war im Hause des Königs, dazu seine Söhne und seine Weiber, daß ihm kein Sohn überblieb, ohne Joahas, sein jüngster Sohn.

And they came up on Judah and they broke into it and they took captive all the property which was found to [the] house of the king and also sons his and wives his and not he remained to him a son that except Jehoahaz [the] young [one] of sons his.

18 Und nach dem allem plagte ihn der HERR in seinem Eingeweide mit solcher Krankheit, die nicht zu heilen war.

And after all this he struck him Yahweh - in bowels his to a sickness to there not [was] healing.

19 Und da das währete von Tage zu Tage, als die Zeit zweier Jahre um war, ging sein Eingeweide von ihm mit seiner Krankheit, und er starb an bösen Krankheiten. Und sie machten nicht über ihm einen Brand, wie sie seinen Vätern getan hatten.

And it was to days - from days and about [the] time of [the] going out of the end of days two they came out bowels his with sickness his and he died in diseases harmful and not they made for him people his a burning like [the] burning of ancestors his.

20 Zweiunddreißig Jahre alt war er, da er König ward, und regierete acht Jahre zu Jerusalem und wandelte, daß nicht fein war. Und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt Davids, aber nicht unter der Könige Gräber.

A son of thirty and two [years] he was when became king he and eight years he reigned in Jerusalem and he went with not desire and people buried him in [the] city of David and not in [the] graves of the kings.
