Sacharja 8

1 Hierauf erging das Wort Jahwes der Heerscharen an mich folgendermaßen:

Againe the worde of the Lord of hostes came to me, saying,

2 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Ich bin voll eifersüchtiger Liebe zu Zion und bin von heftigem Zorn für es entbrannt.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I was ielous for Zion with great ielousie, and I was ielous for her with great wrath.

3 So spricht Jahwe: Ich bin auf der Rückkehr nach Zion und will inmitten Jerusalems Wohnung machen; Jerusalem wird die treue Stadt heißen und der Berg Jahwes der Heerscharen der heilige Berg.

Thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Zion, and wil dwel in the mids of Ierusalem: and Ierusalem shalbe called a citie of trueth, and the Mountaine of the Lord of hostes, the holy Mountaine.

4 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Noch werden Greise und Greisinnen auf den Plätzen Jerusalems sitzen, ein jeder mit seinem Stab in der Hand vor der Menge von Lebenstagen.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, There shall yet olde men and olde women dwell in the streetes of Ierusalem, and euery man with his staffe in his hand for very age.

5 Und die Plätze der Stadt werden sich mit Knaben und mit Mädchen füllen, die auf ihren Plätzen spielen.

And the streetes of the citie shalbe full of boyes and girles, playing in the streetes thereof.

6 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Mag es in jenen Tagen dem Überreste dieses Volks als ein Wunder erscheinen, - wird es auch mir als ein Wunder erscheinen? ist der Spruch Jahwes der Heerscharen.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Though it be vnpossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these dayes, should it therefore be vnpossible in my sight, sayth the Lord of hostes?

7 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Fürwahr, ich werde mein Volk aus den Ländern des Sonnenaufgangs und aus den Ländern des Niedergangs der Sonne erretten

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will deliuer my people from the East countrey, and from the West countrey.

8 und werde sie heimbringen, daß sie inmitten Jerusalems wohnen sollen, und in Beständigkeit und Wahrheit sollen sie mein Volk und will ich ihr Gott sein!

And I wil bring them, and they shall dwel in the mids of Ierusalem, and they shalbe my people, and I wil be their God in trueth, and in righteousnes.

9 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Regt rüstig eure Hände, ihr, die ihr in diesen Tagen diese Worte aus dem Munde der Propheten vernehmt, die aufgetreten sind zu der Zeit, da zum Wiederaufbau des Hauses Jahwes der Heerscharen, des Tempels, der Grund gelegt ward!

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Let your hands be strong, ye that heare in these dayes these words by the mouth of the Prophets, which were in the day, that the foundation of the House of the Lord of hostes was laide, that the Temple might be builded.

10 Denn vor dieser Zeit gab es für die Arbeit der Menschen keinen Lohn und keinen Ertrag von der Arbeit des Viehs; wer aus- und einzog, war vor dem Feinde nicht sicher, und ich hetzte alle Leute gegeneinander.

For before these dayes there was no hire for man nor any hire for beast, neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men, euery one against his neighbour.

11 Jetzt aber stehe ich anders als in den vorigen Tagen zu dem Überreste dieses Volks, ist der Spruch Jahwes der Heerscharen;

But nowe, I wil not intreate the residue of this people as aforetime, saith the Lord of hostes.

12 denn seine Saat bleibt wohlbehalten. Der Weinstock bringt seine Frucht und die Erde bringt ihren Ertrag; der Himmel spendet seinen Tau, und ich lasse den Überrest dieses VoIkes solches alles in Besitz nehmen.

For the seede shall be prosperous: the vine shall giue her fruite, and the ground shall giue her increase, and the heauens shall giue their dewe, and I will cause the remnant of this people to possesse all these things.

13 Und wie ihr unter den Nationen zum Fluche geworden seid, Haus Juda und Haus Israel, so bringe ich euch Heil, daß ihr zum Segenswunsche dienen sollt. Seid getrost! Regt rüstig eure Hände!

And it shall come to passe, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Iudah, and house of Israel, so wil I deliuer you, and ye shalbe a blessing: feare not, but let your hands be strong.

14 Denn so spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: wie ich beschlossen habe, euch Übel zu thun, als mich eure Väter erbitterten, spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, und mich's nicht gereuen ließ,

For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, As I thought to punish you, when your fathers prouoked me vnto wrath, sayth the Lord of hostes, and repented not,

15 so habe ich nun gleichfalls in diesen Tagen beschlossen, Jerusalem und dem Hause Juda wohlzutun. Seid getrost!

So againe haue I determined in these daies to doe well vnto Ierusalem, and to the house of Iudah: feare ye not.

16 Dies ist's, was ihr zu thun habt! Redet untereinander die Wahrheit und richtet in euren Thoren redlich und nach unverletztem Recht!

These are ye things that ye shall doe. Speake ye euery man the trueth vnto his neighbour: execute iudgement truely and vprightly in your gates,

17 Sinnt in eurem Herzen nichts Böses gegeneinander und habt nicht Gefallen an lügenhaftem Schwören! Denn solches alles, das hasse ich, ist der Spruch Jahwes.

And let none of you imagine euill in your hearts against his neighbour, and loue no false othe: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lord.

18 Und es erging das Wort Jahwes der Heerscharen an mich folgendermaßen:

And the worde of the Lord of hostes came vnto me, saying,

19 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Die Fasten im vierten, fünften, siebenten und zehnten Monate werden dem Hause Juda zu Tagen der Freude und des Jubels und zu frohen Festzeiten werden; aber habt die Wahrheit und den Frieden lieb!

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, The fast of the fourth moneth, and the fast of the fift, and the fast of the seuenth, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Iudah ioy and gladnes, and prosperous hie feasts: therefore loue the trueth and peace.

20 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: Noch wird es geschehen, daß ganze Völker und die Bewohner vieler Städte herbeikommen.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, That there shall yet come people, and the inhabitants of great cities.

21 Ihre Bewohner werden zu einander hingehen und sagen: Auf! Laßt uns hinziehen, um Jahwe zu begütigen und um Jahwe der Heerscharen zu suchen! Auch ich will hinziehen!

And they that dwell in one citie, shall go to another, saying, Vp, let vs go and pray before the Lord, and seeke the Lord of hostes: I wil go also.

22 Und so werden viele Völker und zahlreiche Nationen herbeikommen, um Jahwe der Heerscharen in Jerusalem zu suchen und um Jahwe zu begütigen.

Yea, great people and mightie nations shall come to seeke the Lord of hostes in Ierusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

23 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen: In jenen Tagen wird es geschehen, daß zehn Männer aus allen Sprachen der Nationen einen Judäer beim Rockzipfel ergreifen und sagen: Wir wollen mit euch ziehen; denn wir haben gehört, daß Gott mit euch ist!

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, In those dayes shall ten men take holde out of all languages of the nations, euen take holde of the skirt of him that is a Iewe, and say, We will go with you: for we haue heard that God is with you.
