Sacharja 12

1 Ausspruch. Das Wort Jahwes über lsrael, der Spruch Jahwes, der den Himmel ausspannte und die Erde gründete und den Geist in der Brust des Menschen bildete:

An oracle. The word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

2 Fürwahr, ich werde Jerusalem zu einer Taumelschale machen für alle Völker ringsum, und auch Juda wird bei der Belagerung Jerusalems dabei sein.

"Look, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

3 An jenem Tage werde ich Jerusalem zum Hebestein machen für alle Völker; wer immer ihn emporhebt, wird sich wund ritzen, und alle Nationen der Erde werden sich dagegen versammeln.

It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.

4 An jenem Tag, ist der Spruch Jahwes, werde ich alle Rosse mit Scheuen schlagen und, die darauf reiten, mit Wahnsinn. Aber über dem Hause Juda will ich meine Augen offen halten, während ich alle Rosse der Völker mit Blindheit schlage.

In that day," says the LORD, "I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 Dann werden die Häuptlinge Judas bei sich selbst sprechen: Starken Halt haben die Bewohner Jerusalems nur an Jahwe der Heerscharen, ihrem Gott!

The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.'

6 An jenem Tage werde ich die Häuptlinge Judas gleich einem Feuerbecken in einem Holzstoße und gleich einer brennenden Fackel in einem Garbenhaufen machen, so daß sie alle Völker ringsum nach rechts und links verzehren, Jerusalem aber nach wie vor wohlbehalten an seiner Stelle bleibt.

In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

7 Zuerst wird Jahwe den Zelten der Judäer helfen, damit sich der Ruhm des Hauses Davids und der Ruhm der Bewohner Jerusalems nicht hoch über Juda erhebe.

The LORD also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

8 An jenem Tage wird Jahwe mit seinem Schild die Bewohner Jerusalems decken, und der Erschöpfte unter ihnen wird an jenem Tage wie David sein, und das Haus Davids wird sein wie Gott, wie der Engel Jahwes vor ihnen her.

In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD before them.

9 Da werde ich dann an jenem Tag alle Nationen zu vernichten trachten, die gegen Jerusalem zogen.

It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 Über das Haus Davids aber und die Bewohner Jerusalems gieße ich einen Geist der Gnade und des Flehens aus, und sie werden auf den hinblicken, den sie durchbohrten, und um ihn trauern, wie man um den einzigen Sohn trauert, und ihn bitterlich beweinen, wie man sich um den Erstgebornen grämt.

I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of petition; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

11 An jenem Tage wird sich in Jerusalem laute Totenklage erheben, wie die Totenklage Hadadrimmons in der Ebene von Megiddo.

In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 Das Land wird klagen, jedes einzelne Geschlecht besonders: Das Geschlecht des Hauses David besonders und seine Frauen besonders; das Geschlecht des Hauses Nathan besonders und seine Frauen besonders;

The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 das Geschlecht des Hauses Levi besonders und seine Frauen besonders; das Geschlecht der Simeiten besonders und seine Frauen besonders,

the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

14 und ebenso alle übrigen Geschlechter, jedes einzelne Geschlecht besonders und seine Frauen besonders.

all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
