4 Mose 34

1 Und Jahwe redete mit Mose also:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2 Befiehl den Israeliten und sprich zu Ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land kommt, so soll dies das Gebiet sein, das euch als Erbbesitz zufällt: das Land Kanaan in seiner ganzen Ausdehnung.

Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

3 Als Südseite soll euch gelten der Landstrich von der Steppe Zin an Edom entlang; und zwar soll euch als östlicher Ausgangspunkt eurer Südgrenze das Ende des Salzmeers gelten.

Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, —so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

4 Sodann soll sich eure Grenze südlich von der Skorpionenstiege herumziehn bis nach Zin hinüber und weiter, bis sie südlich von Kades Barnea endigt. Sodann laufe sie aus nach Hazar Adar und hinüber nach Azmon.

and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

5 Von Azmon aus wende sich die Grenze nach dem Bach Ägyptens hin, bis sie am Meere endigt.

then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, —and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

6 Und was die Westgrenze anlangt, so soll euch das große Meer als solche gelten; das sei eure Westgrenze.

And, for a west boundary, —ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

7 Und dies soll euch als Nordgrenze gelten: vom großen Meer an sollt ihr euch die Grenze ziehen bis zum Berge Hor;

And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, —From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

8 vom Berge Hor an sollt ihr die Grenze ziehen bis dahin, wo es nach Hamath hineingeht, und Endpunkt der Grenze soll Zedad sein.

From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, —and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

9 Sodann laufe die Grenze aus nach Siphron und weiter bis Hazar Enan als zu ihrem Endpunkte. Das sei eure Nordgrenze.

then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

10 Und als Ostgrenze sollt ihr euch festsetzen: von Hazar Enan nach Sepham.

Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, —from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

11 Von Sepham aber zieht sich die Grenze abwärts nach Haribla, östlich von Ain; sodann ziehe sie sich abwärts und streife den Bergrücken östlich vom See Kinnereth.

and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain—then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

12 Weiter ziehe sich die Grenze hinab an den Jordan, bis sie am Salzmeer endigt. Das sollen ringsum die Grenzen eures Landes sein.

then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

13 Und Mose gab den Israeliten Anweisung und sprach: Das ist das Land, welches ihr vermittelst des Loses zum Besitz angewiesen erhalten sollt, welches Jahwe den neunundeinhalb Stämmen zu geben befohlen hat.

And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, —This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

14 Denn die zum Stamme der Rubeniten gehörenden Familien und die zum Stamme der Gaditen gehörenden Familien und der halbe Stamm Manasse, - die haben ihren Erbbesitz erhalten.

For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

15 Die zweiundeinhalb Stämme haben ihren Erbbesitz jenseits auf der Ostseite des Jordan gegenüber Jericho erhalten.

the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance—on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

16 Und Jahwe redete mit Mose also:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

17 Dies sind die Namen der Männer, die euch das Land zuteilen sollen. Eleasar, der Priester, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns;

These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

18 ferner sollt ihr je einen Fürsten von jedem Stamme bei der Austeilung des Landes hinzuziehen.

Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

19 Und dies sind die Namen der Männer: vom Stamme Juda Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes;

These, therefore, are the names of the men, —For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20 vom Stamme der Simeoniten Samuel, der Sohn Ammihubs;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

21 vom Stamme Benjamin Elidab, der Sohn Kislons;

For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22 als Fürst des Stammes der Daniten Buki, der Sohn Iglis;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince—Bukki, son of Jogli:

23 von den Söhnen Josephs. als Fürst des Stammes der Manassiten Haniel, der Sohn Ephods,

For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, —Hanniel son of Ephod;

24 und als Fürst des Stammes der Ephraimiten Kemuel, der Sohn Siphthans;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, —Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

25 als Fürst der Sebutoniten Elizaphan, der Sohn Parnachs;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, —Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

26 als Fürst der Issachariten Paltiel, der Sohn Asans;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, —Paltiel son of Azzan;

27 als Fürst der Asseriten Ahihud, der Sohn Selomis;

And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, —Ahihud son of Shelomi:

28 als Fürst der Naphthaliten Pedahel, der Sohn Ammihuds.

And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, —Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

29 Das sind die, welchen Jahwe befahl, den Israeliten im Lande Kanaan ihr Erbe auszuteilen.

These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
