4 Mose 27

1 Da traten herzu die Töchter Zelophhads, des Sohnes Hephers, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses, von den Geschlechtern Manasses, des Sohnes Josephs, und seine Töchter hießen Mahla, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Thirza.

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the sonne of Hepher, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, the sonne of Manasseh, of the familie of Manasseh, the sonne of Ioseph (and the names of his daughters were these, Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah)

2 Die traten vor Mose und Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die Fürsten und die ganze Gemeinde vor der Thüre des Offenbarungszeltes und sprachen:

And stoode before Moses, and before Eleazar the Priest, and before the Princes, and all the assemblie, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, saying,

3 Unser Vater ist in der Steppe gestorben; er gehörte jedoch nicht zu der Rotte Korah, die sich wider Jahwe zusammenrottete, zu der Rotte Korah, sondern ist um seiner eignen Sünde willen gestorben. Er hatte aber keine Söhne.

Our father dyed in the wildernes, and he was not among the assemblie of them that were assembled against the Lord in the companie of Korah, but died in his sinne, and had no sonnes.

4 Warum soll nun der Name unseres Vaters aus seinem Geschlechte verschwinden, weil er keinen Sohn hat? Gebt uns Landbesitz unter den Brüdern unseres Vaters!

Wherefore should the name of our father be taken away from among his familie, because he hath no sonne? giue vs a possession among the brethren of our father.

5 Da brachte Mose ihre Rechtssache vor Jahwe.

Then Moses brought their cause before the Lord.

6 Jahwe aber sprach zu Mose also:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

7 Die Töchter Zelophhads haben recht geredet; du sollst ihnen in der That Erbbesitz unter den Brüdern ihres Vaters geben und sollst den ihrem Vater zukommenden Erbbesitz auf sie übergehen lassen.

The daughters of Zelophehad speake right: thou shalt giue them a possession to inherite among their fathers brethren, and shalt turne the inheritance of their father vnto them.

8 Zu den Israeliten aber sollst du also sprechen: wenn jemand stirbt, ohne einen Sohn zu hinterlassen, so sollt ihr seinen Erbbesitz auf seine Tochter übergehen lassen.

Also thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die and haue no sonne, then ye shall turne his inheritaunce vnto his daughter.

9 Hat er aber keine Tochter, so sollt ihr seinen Erbbesitz seinen Brüdern geben.

And if he haue no daughter, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his brethren.

10 Hat er aber keine Brüder, so sollt ihr seinen Erbbesitz den Brüdern seines Vaters geben.

And if he haue no brethren, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his fathers brethren.

11 Hatte sein Vater keine Brüder, so sollt ihr seinen Erbbesitz seinem nächsten Blutsverwandten aus seinem Geschlechte geben; der soll ihn in Besitz nehmen. Das soll den Israeliten als eine Rechtssatzung gelten, wie Jahwe Mose befohlen hat.

And if his father haue no brethren, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his next kinsman of his familie, and he shall possesse it: and this shall be vnto the children of Israel a law of iudgement, as the Lord hath commanded Moses.

12 Und Jahwe sprach zu Mose: Steige auf das Abarimgebirge hier und beschaue das Land, das ich den Israeliten verliehen habe.

Againe the Lord said vnto Moses, Go vp into this mount of Abarim, and behold ye lande which I haue giuen vnto the children of Israel.

13 Und wenn du es beschaut hast, so sollst auch du zu deinen Stammesgenossen versammelt werden, wie dein Bruder Aaron zu ihnen versammelt wurde,

And when thou hast seene it, thou shalt be gathered vnto thy people also, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

14 weil ihr meinem Befehle ungehorsam wart in der Steppe Zin, als die Gemeinde haderte und ihr mich vor ihren Augen durch das Wasser verherrlichen solltet. (Das ist das Haderwasser von Kades in der Steppe Zin.)

For ye were disobedient vnto my worde in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the assemblie, to sanctifie me in the waters before their eyes. That is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wildernesse of Zin.

15 Mose aber redete also zu Jahwe:

Then Moses spake vnto the Lord, saying,

16 Jahwe, der Herr des Lebensodems in einem jeglichen Leibe, wolle einen Mann über die Gemeinde bestellen,

Let the Lord God of the spirits of all flesh appoint a man ouer the Congregation,

17 der an ihrer Spitze ausziehe und einziehe, der sie herausführe und hineinführe, daß die Gemeinde Jahwes nicht sei, wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben.

Who may goe out and in before them, and leade them out and in, that the Congregation of the Lord be not as sheepe, which haue not a shepheard.

18 Jahwe aber sprach zu Mose: Nimm zu dir Josua, den Sohn Nuns, einen Mann, der von Geist erfüllt ist, lege ihm die Hand auf

And the Lord said vnto Moses, Take thee Ioshua the sonne of Nun, in whom is the Spirite, and put thine handes vpon him,

19 und stelle ihn vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die ganze Gemeinde, daß du ihn vor ihren Augen einsetzest;

And set him before Eleazar the Priest, and before all the Congregation, and giue him a charge in their sight.

20 und zwar sollst du einen Teil deiner Hoheit auf ihn legen, damit die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten ihm gehorsam sei.

And giue him of thy glory, that all the Congregation of ye children of Israel may obey.

21 Er soll aber vor Eleasar, den Priester, treten, damit dieser das Urim-Orakel für ihn vor Jahwe befrage; nach seiner Anweisung sollen sie aus- und einziehen, er samt allen Israeliten und die ganze Gemeinde.

And he shall stande before Eleazar the Priest, who shall aske counsell for him by the iudgement of Vrim before the Lord: at his worde they shall goe out, and at his worde they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him and all the Congregation.

22 Da that Mose, wie Jahwe ihm befohlen hatte: er nahm Josua und stellte ihn vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die ganze Gemeinde.

So Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, and he tooke Ioshua, and set him before Eleazar the Priest, and before all the Congregation.

23 Sodann legte er ihm die Hände auf und setzte ihn ein, wie Jahwe durch Mose geredet hatte.

Then he put his handes vpon him, and gaue him a charge, as the Lord had spoken by the hand of Moses.
