Nehemia 12
1 Und dies sind die Priester und die Leviten, die mit Serubabel, dem Sohne Sealthïels, und Jesua heraufzogen: Seraja, Jeremia, Esra,
Now these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
2 Amarja, Malluch, Hattus,
Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
3 Sechanja, Harim, Meremoth,
Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abia,
Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah,
5 Mijamin, Maadja, Bilga,
Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6 Semaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah.
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkia und Jedaja; das sind die Häupter der Priester und ihrer Brüder zur Zeit Jesuas.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.
8 Und die Leviten: Jesua, Binnui, Kadmïel, Serebja, Juda, Mattanja, der samt seinen Brüdern dem “Danket”-Singen vorstand;
Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brothers.
9 Unni, ihre Brüder, standen ihnen gegenüber, als dem Wechselgesang obliegende Dienstabteilungen.
Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brothers, were over against them according to their offices.
10 Und Jesua erzeugte Jojakim, und Jojakim erzeugte Eljasib, und Eljasib erzeugte Jojada,
Jeshua became the father of Joiakim, and Joiakim became the father of Eliashib, and Eliashib became the father of Joiada,
11 und Jojada erzeugte Johanan, und Johanan erzeugte Jaddua.
and Joiada became the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan became the father of Jaddua.
12 Und zur Zeit Jojakims waren von den Priester folgende die Häupter der Familien: Meraja für Seraja, Hananja für Jeremia,
In the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of ancestral houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13 Mesullam für Esra, Johanan für Amarja,
of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 Jonathan für Malluchi, Joseph für Sebanja,
of Malluch, Jonathan; of Shecaniah, Joseph;
15 Adna für Harim, Helkai für Merajoth,
of Harim, Adna; of Meremoth, Helkai;
16 Sacharja für Iddo, Mesullam für Ginnethon,
of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 Sichri für Abia, ....... für Minjamin, Piltai für Moadja,
of Abijah, Zikri; of Minjamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;
18 Sammua für Bilga, Jonathan für Semaja,
of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 Mathnai für Jojarib, Usi für Jedaja,
and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 Kallai für Sallai, Eber für Amok,
of Sallu, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
21 Hasabja für Hilkia, Nethaneel für Jedaja.
of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.
22 Zur Zeit Eljasibs, Jojadas, Johanans und Jadduas wurden die Familienhäupter verzeichnet und die Priester bis zur Regierung Darius, des Persers.
As for the Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, there were recorded the heads of ancestral houses; also the priests, in the reign of Daryavesh the Persian.
23 Von den Nachkommen Levis wurden die Familienhäupter im Buche der Zeitgeschichte verzeichnet, und zwar bis zur Zeit Johanans, des Enkels Eljasibs.
The sons of Levi, heads of ancestral houses, were written in the scroll of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
24 Und die Häupter der Leviten waren: Hasabja, Serebja, Jesua, Binnui, Kadmïel und ihre Brüder, die ihnen gegenüberstanden, um zu lobpreisen durch “Danket”-Singen, nach der Anordnung Davids, des Mannes Gottes, eine Abteilung abwechselnd mit der andern:
The chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch next to watch.
25 Mattanja, Bakbukja, Obadja, Mesullam; Talmon und Akkub waren Thorhüter, die Wache hielten bei den Vorratshäusern an den Thoren.
Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were gatekeepers keeping the watch at the storehouses of the gates.
26 Diese waren die Familienhäupter zur Zeit Jojakims, des Sohnes Jesuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, und zur Zeit Nehemias, des Statthalters, und des Priesters Esra, des Schriftgelehrten.
These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.
27 Bei der Einweihung der Mauer von Jerusalem aber holte man die Leviten aus allen ihren Wohnorten, um sie nach Jerusalem zu bringen, damit sie die Einweihung mit Jubel und Danksagungen und mit Gesang, Cymbeln, Harfen und Zithern begehen sollten.
At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with giving thanks, and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.
28 Da versammelten sich die Sängerchöre sowohl aus dem Landkreise rings um Jerusalem, als auch aus den Dörfern der Netophathiter
The sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain around Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;
29 und aus Beth-Gilgal und aus den Feldmarken von Geba und Asmaveth; denn die Sänger hatten sich rings um Jerusalem Dörfer gebaut.
also from Beth Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had built them villages around Jerusalem.
30 Und die Priester und die Leviten reinigten sich und reinigten sodann auch das Volk und die Thore und die Mauer.
The priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Und ich ließ die Obersten von Juda auf die Mauer hinaufsteigen und bestellte zwei große Dankchöre und Züge: Der eine Dankchor zog auf der Mauer nach rechts nach dem Mistthore zu,
Then I brought up the leaders of Judah onto the wall, and appointed two great companies who gave thanks and went in procession. One went on the right hand on the wall toward the Dung Gate;
32 und hinter ihnen her zogen Hosaja und die Hälfte der Obersten von Juda
and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the leaders of Judah,
33 und Asarja, Esra und Mesullam,
and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 Juda und Benjamin und Semaja und Jeremia,
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35 und welche von den Priestern mit Trompeten, sodann Sacharja, der Sohn Jonathans, des Sohnes Semajas, des Sohnes Mattanjas, des Sohnes Michajas, des Sohnes Sakkurs, des Sohnes Asaphs,
and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaph;
36 und seine Brüder: Semaja und Asareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel und Juda, Hananil, mit den Musikinstrumenten Davids, des Mannes Gottes, und Esra, der Schriftgelehrte, ging an ihrer Spitze,
and his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them.
37 und weiter nach dem Quellthor, und nun stiegen sie geradeaus auf den Stufen der Davidsstadt den Aufstieg zur Mauer hinan, oberhalb vom Palaste Davids und bis zum Wasserthore nach Osten zu.
By the Fountain Gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the City of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the Water Gate eastward.
38 Und der zweite Dankchor zog nach links, während ich und die andere Hälfte des Volks hinter ihm hergingen, oben auf der Mauer, über den Ofenturm und bis zur breiten Mauer
The other company of those who gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, on the wall, above the Tower of the Ovens, to the Broad Wall,
39 und über das Ephraimthor und das Thor der Altstadt und das Fischthor und den Turm Hananeel und den Turm Mea und bis zum Schafthor, und sie stellten sich auf beim Gefängnisthor.
and above the Ephraim Gate, and by the Jeshanah Gate, and by the Fish Gate, and the Tower of Hananel, and the Tower of the Hundred, and as far as the Sheep Gate. And they stood still in the Gate of the Guard.
40 Und so stellten sich die beiden Dankchöre beim Tempel Gottes auf, und ich und die Hälfte der Vorsteher mit mir,
So stood the two companies of those who gave thanks in God's house, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;
41 und die Priester Eljakim, Maaseja, Minjamin, Michaja, Eljoënai, Sacharja, Hananja mit Trompeten,
and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 und Maaseja, Semaja, Eleasar, Usi, Johanan, Malchia, Elam und Eser. Und die Sänger ließen ihre Stimme erschallen, und Jisrahja war ihr Vorsteher.
and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43 Und sie opferten an jenem Tage große Opfer und freuten sich, weil Gott ihnen große Freude beschert hatte, und auch die Weiber und Kinder freuten sich, daß die Freude Jerusalems weithin vernommen ward.
They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44 Zu jener Zeit wurden Männer zu Aufsehern über die Zellen bestellt, die für die Hebeopfer, die Erstlinge und die Zehnten als Vorratskammern dienten, damit die gesetzlichen Abgaben für die Priester und die Leviten von den Feldmarken der Städte darin angesammelt würden; denn Juda hatte seine Freude an den Priestern und an den Leviten, die im Dienste standen.
On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, for the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.
45 Und diese verrichteten den Dienst ihres Gottes und den Reinigungsdienst, und die Sänger und die Thorhüter verrichteten gleichfalls ihren Dienst nach der Anordnung Davids und seines Sohnes Salomo.
They performed the duty of their God, and the duty of the purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46 Denn schon vor alters, zur Zeit Davids und Asaphs, des Hauptes der Sänger, gab es Lob- und Danksagungsgesang für Gott.
For long ago in the days of David and Asaph there were directors of the singers and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
47 Und alle Israeliten gaben zur Zeit Serubabels und zur Zeit Nehemias die Abgaben für die Sänger und die Thorhüter, soviel für jeden Tag erforderlich war, und zwar lieferten sie die Weihegaben den Leviten, die Leviten aber lieferten den Nachkommen Aarons die ihnen zukommenden Weihegaben.
All Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeepers, as every day required: and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.
