Mica 3
1 Und ich sprach: Hört doch, ihr Häupter Jakobs und ihr Gebieter des Hauses Israel! Ist's nicht an euch, das heilige Recht zu kennen?
I said, “Now listen, you leaders of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not right for you to understand justice?
2 Sie aber lassen das Gute dahinten und ziehen das Böse vor, reißen den Leuten die Haut vom Leibe und das Fleisch von den Knochen.
You who hate good and love evil, you who tear off their skin, their flesh from their bones—
3 Sie nähren sich von dem Fleische meines Volks; sie ziehen ihnen die Haut vom Leibe und zerbrechen ihnen die Knochen, zerlegen sie wie einen Braten im Topf, wie Fleisch im Kessel.
you who also eat the flesh of my people, and tear their skin off, break their bones, and chop them in pieces, just like meat for a pot, just like meat in a cauldron.
4 Dann werden sie zu Jahwe schreien, aber er wird sie nicht erhören und wird sein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen in jener Zeit, dieweil sie schlimme Thaten verübt haben.
Then you rulers will cry out to Yahweh, but he will not answer you. He will hide his face from you at that time, because you have done evil deeds.”
5 So spricht Jahwe wider die Propheten, die mein Volk in die Irre geführt haben, die, wenn ihre Zähne zu beißen haben, “Heil!” rufen, aber gegen den, der ihnen nichts in den Mund giebt, den Krieg erklären.
Yahweh says this, “As for the prophets who lead my people astray, if one gives them something to eat, they proclaim, 'Peace.' But if he puts nothing in their mouths, they dedicate themselves to wage war on him.
6 Darum soll euch Nacht ohne Gesichte werden und Finsternis, daß ihr nicht wahrsagen könnt; die Sonne soll den Propheten untergehen, und der Tag sich ihnen verfinstern.
Therefore, it will be night for you with no vision for you; it will be dark so that you will do no divination. The sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be dark on them.
7 Da werden dann die Seher zu Schanden werden, und die Wahrsager sich schämen müssen; sie alle werden ihren Bart verhüllen, denn die göttliche Antwort bleibt aus!
The seers will be put to shame, and the diviners will be confused. All of them will cover their lips, for there is no answer from me.”
8 Dagegen bin ich mit Kraft erfüllt, nämlich mit dem Geiste Jahwes, und mit Recht und Stärke, um Jakob seinen Abfall kund zu thun und Israel seine Sünde.
But as for me, I am full of power by the Spirit of Yahweh, and am full of justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Hört doch dieses, ihr Häupter des Hauses Jakob und ihr Gebieter des Hauses Israel, die ihr das Recht verabscheut und alles Gerade krumm macht,
Now listen to this, you leaders of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, you who detest justice, and pervert everything right.
10 die ihr zion mit Blutvergießen baut und Jerusalem mit Frevel.
You build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 Seine Häupter sprechen für Geschenke Recht, und ihre Priester erteilen Weisung für Lohn; ihre Propheten wahrsagen für Geld und verlassen sich dabei auf Jahwe, indem sie denken: Wir haben doch Jahwe in unserer Mitte, uns kann kein Unglück treffen!
Your leaders judge for a bribe, your priests teach for a price, and your prophets do divination for money. Yet you rely on Yahweh and say, “Is not Yahweh with us? No evil will come on us.”
12 Darum soll euretwegen Zion zum Feld umgepflügt und Jerusalem ein Trümmerhaufen und der Tempelberg zur bewaldeten Höhe werden!
Therefore, because of you, Zion will become a plowed field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, and the hill of the temple will become a thicket.
