Matthaeus 15
1 Hierauf kommen zu Jesus Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrte von Jerusalem und sagen:
Then the Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
2 warum übertreten deine Jünger die Ueberlieferung der Alten? Waschen sie doch die Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.
"Why do your disciples disobey the Tradition of the Elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
3 Er aber antwortete ihnen: warum übertretet denn ihr eurerseits das Gebot Gottes eurer Ueberlieferung zu lieb?
And he answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 Denn Gott hat verordnet: ehre Vater und Mutter, und: wer Vater oder Mutter lästert, soll des Todes sterben.
For God said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
5 Ihr aber saget: wer zu Vater oder Mutter spricht: Opfergabe soll sein, was du von mir haben könntest,
But you say, 'Whoever may tell his father or his mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,"
6 der braucht seinen Vater und Mutter nicht zu ehren. So habt ihr das Gesetz Gottes ausgethan eurer Ueberlieferung zu lieb.
he is not to honor his father or his mother.' You have made the word of God void because of your tradition.
7 Ihr Heuchler, Jesaias hat richtig von euch geweissagt:
You hypocrites. Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 Dieses Volk ehrt mich mit den Lippen, ihr Herz aber hält sich ferne von mir.
'These people honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 Vergebens ehren sie mich mit ihrem Lehren von Menschengeboten.
And in vain do they worship me, teaching instructions that are the commandments of humans.'"
10 Und er rief die Menge herbei und sagte zu ihnen: höret zu und fasset es:
He summoned the crowd, and said to them, "Hear, and understand.
11 Nicht das, was in den Mund eingeht, verunreinigt den Menschen, sondern das, was aus dem Munde ausgeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen.
That which enters into the mouth does not defile the person; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the person."
12 Hierauf traten die Jünger herzu und sagen zu ihm: weißt du, daß die Pharisäer sich an dem Wort, das sie da gehört, gestoßen haben?
Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"
13 Er aber antwortete: jede Pflanze, die mein himmlischer Vater nicht gepflanzt, wird ausgerissen werden.
But he answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
14 Lasset sie, sie sind blinde Führer von Blinden; wenn aber ein Blinder einen Blinden führt, so werden beide in eine Grube fallen.
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."
15 Petrus aber antwortete ihm: deute uns das Gleichnis.
And answering, Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."
16 Er aber sagte: immer noch seid auch ihr ohne Verständnis?
So he said, "Do you also still not understand?
17 Merket ihr nicht, daß alles, was zum Munde eingeht, in den Bauch kommt und in den Abort ausgeworfen wird?
Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
18 Was aber aus dem Munde hervorgeht, das kommt aus dem Herzen, und das verunreinigt den Menschen.
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the person.
19 Denn aus dem Herzen kommen hervor böse Gedanken, Mord, Ehebruch, Unzucht, Diebstahl, falsch Zeugnis, Lästerung.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 Das sind die Dinge, die den Menschen verunreinigen. Das Essen mit ungewaschenen Händen aber verunreinigt den Menschen nicht.
These are the things which defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."
21 Und Jesus gieng weg von dort und zog sich zurück in die Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon.
Jesus went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Und siehe, ein kanaanäisches Weib, die aus jenem Gebiet kam, rief: erbarme dich meiner, Herr, du Sohn Davids. Meine Tochter wird von einem Dämon gequält.
And look, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely demonized."
23 Er aber antwortete ihr kein Wort. Und da seine Jünger hinzukamen, baten sie ihn, fertige sie ab, sie schreit ja hinter uns her.
But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting at us."
24 Er aber antwortete: ich bin nur gesandt zu den verlornen Schafen vom Hause Israel.
But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
25 Sie aber kam, warf sich vor ihm nieder, und sagte: Herr, hilf mir.
But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me."
26 Er aber antwortete: es geht nicht an, das Brot der Kinder zu nehmen und es den Hündlein hinzuwerfen.
But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
27 Sie aber sagte: doch, Herr; essen doch auch die Hündlein von den Brosamen, die von dem Tische ihrer Herren fallen.
But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."
28 Hierauf antwortete ihr Jesus: o Weib, dein Glaube ist groß. Es geschehe dir, wie du willst. Und ihre Tochter ward geheilt von dieser Stunde.
Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29 Und Jesus zog weg von da und kam an den galiläischen See, und stieg auf den Berg, und setze sich dort.
Jesus departed there, and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 Und es kamen zu ihm große Massen mit Lahmen, Verkrümmten, Blinden, Stummen und allerlei Anderen, und sie warfen sie ihm vor die Füße; und er heilte sie, daß sich die Menge wunderte,
Large crowds came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, crippled, and many others, and they put them down at his feet; and he healed them.
31 wie sie sahen die Stummen redend, die Verkrümmten gesund, und die Lahmen wandelnd, und die Blinden sehend; und sie priesen den Gott Israels.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, crippled healthy, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Jesus aber rief seine Jünger zu sich und sagte: ich habe Mitleid mit der Menge, denn sie harren nun drei Tage bei mir aus, und haben nichts zu essen. Und ich mag sie nicht nüchtern entlassen, sie könnten unterwegs verschmachten.
Jesus summoned the disciples and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."
33 Und die Jünger sagen zum ihm: woher sollten wir in der Einöde so viele Brote nehmen, um eine solche Menge zu sättigen?
Then the disciples said to him, "Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a crowd?"
34 Und Jesus sagt zu ihnen: wie viel Brote habt ihr? Sie aber sagten: sieben, und einige Fische.
Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."
35 Und er befahl der Menge, sich auf den Boden zu lagern,
He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground;
36 und nahm die sieben Brote und die Fische, und dankte, und brach und gab sie den Jüngern, die Jünger aber den Massen.
and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.
37 Und es aßen alle und wurden satt, und man hob das übrige an Brocken auf, sieben Handkörbe voll.
They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38 Die aber aßen, waren viertausend Mann ungerechnet Weiber und Kinder.
Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Und er entließ die Massen, bestieg das Schiff und gieng in das Gebiet von Magadan.
Then he sent away the crowds, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.
