Matthaeus 13
1 An jenem Tage gieng Jesus von Hause weg und setzte sich am See nieder.
On that day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.
2 Und es sammelten sich bei ihm große Massen, so daß er ein Schiff bestieg und sich darein setzte, und die ganze Menge stand am Ufer.
A very large crowd gathered around him, so he got into a boat and sat in it, while the whole crowd stood on the beach.
3 Und er redete zu ihnen vieles in Gleichnissen, und sprach: Siehe, es gieng der Sämann aus zu säen.
Then Jesus said many things to them in parables. He said, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow seed.
4 Und da er säte, fiel das eine an den Weg, und es kamen die Vögel und fraßen es auf.
As he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Anderes aber fiel auf steiniges Land, wo es nicht viel Boden hatte, und schoß schnell auf, weil es nicht tief im Boden lag;
Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil. Immediately they sprang up, because the soil had no depth.
6 aber als die Sonne aufgieng, ward es versengt und verdorrte, weil es keine Wurzel hatte.
But when the sun had risen, they were scorched because they had no root, and they withered away.
7 Anderes aber fiel unter die Dornen, und die Dornen giengen auf und erstickten es.
Other seeds fell among the thorn plants. The thorn plants grew up and choked them.
8 Anderes aber fiel auf das gute Land und brachte Frucht, das eine hundertfältig, das andere sechzig-, wieder anderes dreißigfältig.
Other seeds fell on good soil and produced a crop, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.
9 Wer Ohren hat, der höre.
He who has ears, let him listen.”
10 Und die Jünger kamen herzu und sagten zu ihm: warum redest du zu ihnen mit Gleichnissen?
The disciples came and said to Jesus, “Why do you talk to the crowd in parables?”
11 Er aber antwortete: weil es euch gegeben ist, zu erkennen die Geheimnisse des Reichs der Himmel, jenen aber nicht gegeben ist.
Jesus answered and said to them, “You have been given the privilege of understanding mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben, ja überschwenglich gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen werden, das er hat.
For whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Darum rede ich zu ihnen in Gleichnissen, weil sie sehen und doch nicht sehen, hören und doch nicht hören noch verstehen.
This is why I talk to them in parables: Though they are seeing, they do not see; and though they are hearing, they do not hear, or understand.
14 Und es erfüllt sich für sie die Weissagung des Jesaias, die da lautet: Mit dem Gehör sollt ihr hören und nichts verstehen, und mit dem Gesicht sehen und nichts erblicken.
To them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, that which says, 'While hearing you will hear, but you will in no way understand; while seeing you will see, but you will in no way perceive.
15 Denn es ward das Herz dieses Volkes verstockt und sie sind schwerhörig geworden, und ihre Augen haben sie verschlossen, daß sie nicht sähen mit ihren Augen, und nicht hörten mit ihren Ohren noch verständen mit dem Herzen und umkehrten, und ich sie heilte.
For this people's heart has become dull, and they are hard of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, so they should not see with their eyes, or hear with their ears, or understand with their hearts, so they would turn again, and I would heal them.'
16 Selig aber sind eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
17 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, viele Propheten und Gerechte begehrten zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben es nicht gehört.
Truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things that you see, and did not see them. They desired to hear the things that you hear, and did not hear them.
18 So höret ihr das Gleichnis des Sämanns.
Listen then to the parable of the farmer who sowed his seed.
19 Wo überall einer das Wort vom Reiche hört und nicht versteht, da kommt der Böse und nimmt weg, was in sein Herz gestreut ist. Das ist der, bei welchem es an den Weg gesät ward.
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom but does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the seed that was sown beside the road.
20 Was aber auf das steinige Land gesät ward, das ist der, welcher das Wort hört und alsdann mit Freuden annimmt.
What was sown on rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
21 Er hat aber keine Wurzel in sich, sondern er ist ein Kind des Augenblicks; kommt aber Drangsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, so nimmt er gleich Anstoß.
yet he has no root in himself and he endures for a while. When tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, he quickly falls away.
22 Was aber unter die Dornen gesät ward, das ist der, welcher das Wort hört, und die Sorge der Welt und der Trug des Reichtums erstickt das Wort, und er bleibt ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
What was sown among the thorn plants, this is the person who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 Was aber auf das gute Land gesät ist, das ist der, der das Wort hört und versteht, der dann Frucht bringt, und trägt der eine hundertfältig, der andere sechzig-, der andere dreißigfältig.
What was sown on the good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands it. He bears fruit and makes a crop, some yielding one hundred times as much as was planted, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.”
24 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor also: Das Reich der Himmel gleicht einem Menschen, der guten Samen säte auf seinen Acker.
Jesus presented another parable to them. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25 Während aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut dazu, mitten unter den Weizen, und gieng davon.
But while people slept, his enemy came and also sowed weeds among the wheat and then went away.
26 Als aber die grüne Saat sproßte und Frucht trieb, da zeigte sich auch das Unkraut.
When the blades sprouted and then produced their crop, then the weeds appeared also.
27 Es kamen aber die Knechte des Hausherrn herzu und sagten ihm: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen gesät auf deinen Acker? Woher hat er denn Unkraut?
The servants of the landowner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How does it now have weeds?'
28 Er aber sagte zu ihnen: ein Feind hat das gethan. Die Knechte aber sagen zu ihm, willst du nun, daß wir hingehen und es sammeln?
He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'So do you want us to go and pull them out?'
29 Er aber sagt: nein, damit ihr nicht beim Sammeln des Unkrauts mit demselben auch den Weizen herausreißet.
The landowner said, 'No. Because while you are pulling out the weeds, you might uproot the wheat with them.
30 Lasset beides mit einandner wachsen bis zur Ernte, dann werde ich zur Zeit der Ernte zu den Schnittern sagen: sammelt zuerst das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündel, es zu verbrennen, den Weizen aber sammelt in meine Scheune.
Let both grow together until the harvest. At the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First pull out the weeds and tie them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”'”
31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor also: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und säte es auf seinen Acker.
Then Jesus presented another parable to them. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field.
32 Das ist der kleinste unter allen Samen, wenn es aber wächst, so ist es größer als die Kräuter und wird ein Baum, so daß die Vögel des Himmels kommen und nisten in seinen Zweigen.
This seed is indeed the smallest of all seeds. But when it has grown, it is greater than the garden plants. It becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
33 Ein anderes Gleichnis sagte er zu ihnen: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Sauerteig, den eine Frau nahm und legte ihn ein in drei Sat Weizenmehl, bis es ganz durchsäuert ward.
Jesus then told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until all the dough had risen.”
34 Dieses alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zu den Massen, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nichts zu ihnen,
All these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; and he said nothing to them without a parable.
35 auf daß erfüllt würde, was da gesagt ist durch das Wort des Propheten Jesaias: Ich will aufthun mit Gleichnissen meinen Mund, ich will ausschütten, was verborgen ist von der Schöpfung her.
This was in order that what had been said through the prophet might come true, when he said, “I will open my mouth in parables. I will say things that were hidden from the foundation of the world.”
36 Hierauf entließ er die Massen und gieng in das Haus. Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sagten: Deute uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut des Ackers.
Then Jesus left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”
37 Er aber antwortete: Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Sohn des Menschen.
Jesus answered and said, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 Der Acker aber ist die Welt; der gute Samen aber, das sind die Söhne des Reiches; das Unkraut aber sind die Söhne des Bösen.
The field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
39 Der Feind aber, der es gesät, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte aber ist das Ende der Welt, die Schnitter sind Engel. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)
40 Wie nun das Unkraut gesammelt und im Feuer verbrannt wird, so wird es am Ende der Welt sein. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, as the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. (aiōn g165)
41 Der Sohn des Menschen wird seine Engel ausschicken, und sie werden aus seinem Reiche zusammenlesen alle Aergernisse und die den Frevel thun,
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all the things that cause sin and those who commit iniquity.
42 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen, da wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.
They will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
43 Alsdann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in ihres Vaters Reich. Wer Ohren hat, der höre.
Then will the righteous people shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him listen.
44 Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Schatze, der auf einem Acker verborgen war, den fand ein Mensch und verbarg ihn, und vor Freude geht er hin und verkaufte alles was er hat und kauft den Acker.
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. A man found it and hid it. In his joy he goes, sells everything he possesses, and buys that field.
45 Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Handelsmann, der edle Perlen suchte.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a merchant looking for valuable pearls.
46 Da er aber eine kostbare Perle gefunden hatte, gieng er hin und verkaufte alles was er hatte und kaufte sie.
When he found one pearl of very great value, he went and sold everything that he possessed and bought it.
47 Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Netze, das in das Meer geworfen ward und allerhand aufnahm;
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea, and that gathered creatures of every kind.
48 als es voll war, zogen sie es ans Ufer, setzten sich und lasen das Gute in Gefäße, das Faule aber warfen sie weg.
When it was filled, the fishermen drew it up on the beach. Then they sat down and gathered the good things into containers, but the worthless things they threw away.
49 So wird es sein am Ende der Welt; es werden die Engel ausgehen und die Bösen ausscheiden von den Gerechten, (aiōn g165)
It will be this way at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous. (aiōn g165)
50 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen, da wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.
They will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
51 Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Da sagen sie zu ihm: ja.
Have you understood all these things?” The disciples said to him, “Yes.”
52 Er aber sagt zu ihnen: Darum gleicht jeder Schriftgelehrte, der geschult ist für das Reich der Himmel, einem Hausherrn, der aus seinem Schatze vorbringt neues und altes.
Then Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is the owner of a house, who draws out old and new things from his treasure.”
53 Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse beendet hatte, brach er von dort auf.
Then it came about that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from that place.
54 Und er kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge also, daß sie betroffen sprachen: woher hat der diese Weisheit und die Wunder?
Then Jesus entered his own region and taught the people in their synagogue. The result was that they were astonished and said, “Where does this man get his wisdom and these miracles from?
55 Ist das nicht des Zimmermanns Sohn? heißt seine Mutter nicht Mariam und seine Brüder Jakobus und Joseph und Simon und Judas?
Is not this man the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? Are not his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?
56 und sind nicht seine Schwestern alle bei uns? Woher hat er nun das alles?
Are not all his sisters with us? Where did he get all these things?”
57 Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm. Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: ein Prophet ist nirgend unwert außer in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Hause.
They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own family.”
58 Und er that nicht viele Wunder daselbst um ihres Unglaubens willen.
He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
