Markus 6
1 Und er gieng weg von da und kommt in seine Vaterstadt, und es folgen ihm seine Jünger.
And he went out from thence, and came into his own country, and his disciples follow him.
2 Und da es Sabbat war, fieng er an zu lehren in der Synagoge; und die Vielen, die zuhörten, wurden betroffen und sagten: woher hat der das, und was ist das für eine Weisheit, die ihm verliehen ward? und das solche Wunder geschehen durch seine Hände?
And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing [him] were astonished, saying, From whence hath this [man] these things? and what wisdom [is] this which is given to him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Ist das nicht der Zimmermann, der Sohn der Maria und Bruder des Jakobus und Joses und Judas und Simon? und sind nicht seine Schwestern hier bei uns? Und sie stießen sich an ihm.
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 Und Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nirgends unwert außer in seiner Vaterstadt und bei seinen Verwandten und in seinem Hause.
But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kindred, and in his own house.
5 Und er konnte daselbst kein Wunder thun, außer daß er einige Schwache durch Handauflegung heilte,
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick persons, and healed [them].
6 und er wunderte sich über ihren Unglauben. Und er zog in den Dörfern rings umher und lehrte.
And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went around the villages teaching.
7 Und er ruft die Zwölf zu sich, und fieng an sie auszusenden zu zwei und zwei, und gab ihnen Vollmacht über die unreinen Geister,
And he calleth [to him] the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
8 und befahl ihnen: Sie sollten nichts mitnehmen auf den Weg außer einen Stock, kein Brod, keine Tasche, keine Münze in den Gürtel
And commanded them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no bag, no bread, no money in [their] purse:
9 (doch mit Sandalen angethan) und nicht zwei Röcke sollten sie tragen.
But [be] shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
10 Und er sagte zu ihnen: wo ihr in ein Haus eintretet, da bleibet, bis ihr von dort weiter zieht.
And he said to them, In whatever place ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
11 Und wo ein Ort euch nicht aufnimmt und man hört nicht auf euch, da gehet hinaus von dort, und schüttelt den Staub ab von euren Füßen, zum Zeugnis über sie.
And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12 Und sie zogen aus, und verkündeten: man solle Buße thun,
And they went out and preached that men should repent.
13 und trieben viele Dämonen aus, und salbten viele Gebrechliche mit Oel und heilten sie.
And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed [them].
14 Und der König Herodes hörte es, denn sein Name wurde berühmt, und man sagte: Johannes der Täufer sei von den Toten auferweckt, darum wirken die Wunderkräfte in ihm.
And king Herod heard [of him] (for his name was spread abroad: ) and he said, That John the Baptist had risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.
15 Andere aber sagten: es sei Elias, andere: es sei ein Prophet wie einer von den Propheten.
Others said, That it is Elijah. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
16 Wie es aber Herodes hörte, sagte er: Johannes, den ich köpfen ließ, der ist auferweckt.
But when Herod heard [of him], he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he hath risen from the dead.
17 Denn Herodes hatte ausgesandt und den Johannes greifen lassen, und binden im Gefängnis wegen Herodias, der Frau seines Bruders Philippus, weil er sie genommen.
For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.
18 Denn Johannes sagte zu Herodes, es steht dir nicht zu, deines Bruders Frau zu haben.
For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.
19 Die Herodias aber trug es ihm nach und hätte ihn gerne getötet, und es gelang ihr nicht.
Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
20 Denn Herodes fürchtete den Johannes, den er als gerechten und heiligen Mann kannte, und schützte ihn, und wenn er ihn hörte, ward er oft bedenklich, und hörte ihn doch gerne.
For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and observed him: and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
21 Und da ein günstiger Tag kam, als Herodes an seinem Geburtsfest seinen Großen und den Obersten und dem Adel von Galiläa ein Mahl gab,
And when a convenient day had come, that Herod on his birth-day made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief [men] of Galilee;
22 und die Tochter der Herodias eintrat und tanzte, gefiel es dem Herodes und seinen Gästen. Der König aber sagte dem Mädchen zu: verlange von mir, was du willst, so will ich dir's geben,
And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod, and them that sat with him, the king said to the damsel, Ask of me whatever thou wilt, and I will give [it] thee.
23 und er schwur es ihr zu: was du auch verlangst, will ich dir geben, bis zur Hälfte meines Reiches.
And he swore to her, Whatever thou shalt ask of me, I will give [it] thee, to the half of my kingdom.
24 Und sie gieng hinaus und sagte zu ihrer Mutter: was soll ich verlangen? sie aber sprach: den Kopf Johannes des Täufers.
And she went forth, and said to her mother, What shall I ask? and she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25 Und sie gieng alsbald eifrigst hinein zum König und bat: ich wünsche, daß du mir sogleich auf einer Schüssel den Kopf Johannes des Täufers geben lassest.
And she came in forthwith with haste to the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou shouldst give me, immediately, in a dish, the head of John the Baptist.
26 Und der König wurde sehr bekümmert, aber wegen der Eidschwüre und der Gäste mochte er sie nicht abweisen,
And the king was exceeding sorry: [yet] for his oath's sake, and for their sakes who sat with him, he would not reject her.
27 und alsbald sandte der König einen von der Leibwache und hieß seinen Kopf bringen. Und er gieng hin und köpfte ihn im Gefängnis,
And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 und brachte seinen Kopf auf einer Schüssel, und gab ihn dem Mädchen, und das Mädchen gab ihn seiner Mutter.
And brought his head in a dish, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29 Und seine Jünger hörten es und kamen, und holten seinen Leichnam und setzen ihn bei in einem Grab.
And when his disciples heard [of it], they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
30 Und die Apostel sammeln sich bei Jesus, und berichteten ihm alles, was sie gethan, und was sie gelehrt hatten,
And the apostles assembled themselves to Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 und er sagt zu ihnen: zieht euch zurück beiseit an einen einsamen Ort und ruht ein wenig aus. Denn es waren eine Menge Leute da, die kamen und giengen, und sie hatten nicht einmal Zeit zu essen.
And he said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 Und sie giengen zu Schiff hin beiseit an einen einsamen Ort,
And they departed into a desert place in a boat privately.
33 und viele sahen sie hingehen und merkten es, und sie liefen von allen Städten aus zu Fuß dahin zusammen und kamen ihnen zuvor.
And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran on foot thither out of all cities, and out went them, and came together to him.
34 Und als er herauskam, sah er eine große Menge, und hatte Mitleiden mit ihnen, denn sie waren wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben, und fieng an, sie vieles zu lehren.
And Jesus, when he came out, saw many people, and was moved with compassion towards them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 Und wie es schon spät wurde, traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sagten: der Ort ist öde und es ist schon spät.
And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came to him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time [is] far passed:
36 Entlasse sie, damit sie in die Höfe und Dörfer ringsum gehen und sich etwas zu essen kaufen.
Send them away, that they may go into the country around, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 Er aber antwortete ihnen: gebt ihr ihnen zu essen; und sie sagen zu ihm: sollen wir hingehen und für zweihundert Denare Brot kaufen, und ihnen zu essen geben?
He answered and said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they say to him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 Er aber sagt zu ihnen: wie viele Brote habt ihr? gehet hin und sehet nach. Und nachdem sie sich unterrichtet, sagen sie: fünf, und zwei Fische.
He saith to them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 Und er befahl ihnen, sich alle niederzusetzen tischweise auf dem grünen Rasen.
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 Und sie lagerten sich beetweise, zu hundert und zu fünfzig,
And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 und er nahm die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, blickte auf zum Himmel, segnete und brach die Brote, und gab sie den Jüngern, sie ihnen vorzusetzen, auch die zwei Fische teilte er unter alle.
And when he had taken the five loaves, and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave [them] to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes he divided among them all.
42 Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt,
And they all ate, and were satisfied.
43 und man hob an Brocken auf, zwölf Körbe voll, und von den Fischen,
And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 und es waren fünftausend Mann, die von den Broten gegessen hatten.
And they that ate of the loaves, were about five thousand men.
45 Und alsbald nötigte er seine Jünger, das Schiff zu besteigen und an das jenseitige Ufer gegen Bethsaida vorauszufahren, bis er die Menge entlasse.
And immediately he constrained his disciples to get into the boat, and to go to the other side before to Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46 Und er verabschiedete sie, und gieng hin auf den Berg zu beten.
And when he had dismissed them, he departed to a mountain to pray.
47 Und da es Abend geworden, war das Schiff mitten im See, und er selbst allein am Land.
And when evening was come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 Und da er sie auf der Fahrt bedrängt sah - denn der Wind war ihnen zuwider - kommt er um die vierte Nachtwache zu ihnen auf dem See wandelnd, und er wollte an ihnen vorbeigehen.
And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary to them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh to them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 Sie aber, als sie ihn auf dem See wandeln sahen, meinten, es sei ein Gespenst, und schrien auf;
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out.
50 denn alle sahen ihn und waren bestürzt. Er aber redete alsbald mit ihnen und sagt zu ihnen, seid getrost, ich bin es, fürchtet euch nicht.
(For they all saw him, and were troubled.) And immediately he talked with them, and saith to them, Be of good cheer: It is I; be not afraid.
51 Und er stieg zu ihnen in das Schiff, und der Wind legte sich; und sie kamen ganz außer sich.
And he went up to them into the boat; and the wind ceased: and they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 Denn sie waren nicht zur Einsicht gekommen über den Broten, sondern ihr Herz war verstockt.
For they considered not [the miracle] of the loaves; for their heart was hardened.
53 Und sie fuhren hinüber ans Land und kamen nach Gennesaret und legen an.
And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54 Und da sie aus dem Schiff gestiegen, erkannten sie ihn alsbald
And when they had come out of the boat forthwith they knew him,
55 und liefen umher in der ganzen Gegend, und fiengen an, die ein Leiden hatten, auf den Bahren dahin zu tragen, wo sie hörten, daß er sei.
And ran through that whole region around, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56 Und wo er in Dörfer oder Städte oder Höfe eintrat, da setzten sie die Kranken auf die Märkte, und baten ihn, daß sie nur die Quaste seines Kleides anrühren dürften, und wer von denselben daran rührte, wurde geheilt.
And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch, if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him, were healed.
