Johannes 15
1 Ich bin der wahrhafte Weinstock, und mein Vater ist der Weingärtner.
“I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser;
2 Jede Ranke an mir, die nicht Frucht bringt, nimmt er weg, und jede, die Frucht bringt, putzt er aus, damit sie mehr Frucht bringe.
every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away, and everyone bearing fruit, He cleanses by pruning it, that it may bear more fruit;
3 Ihr seid bereits rein, um des Wortes willen, das ich zu euch geredet habe; bleibet in mir, so ich in euch.
you are already clean, because of the word that I have spoken to you;
4 Wie die Ranke nicht Frucht bringen kann von sich selbst, wenn sie nicht am Weinstock bleibt, so auch ihr nicht, wenn ihr nicht in mir bleibet.
remain in Me, and I in you, as the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, if it may not remain in the vine, so neither you, if you may not remain in Me.
5 Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Ranken. Der in mir bleibt, - und ich in ihm, - der nur bringt viel Frucht, weil ihr ohne mich nichts thun könnt.
I AM the vine, you the branches; he who is remaining in Me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit, because apart from Me you are not able to do anything;
6 Wenn einer nicht in mir bleibt, so wird er hinausgeworfen wie die Ranke, die verdorrt, und man sammelt sie und wirft sie ins Feuer, da brennt sie.
if anyone may not remain in Me, he was cast forth outside as the branch, and was withered, and they gather them, and cast into fire, and they are burned;
7 Wenn ihr in mir bleibt und meine Worte in euch bleiben, so möget ihr bitten was ihr wollt, es soll euch werden.
if you may remain in Me, and My sayings may remain in you, whatever you may wish you will ask, and it will be done to you.
8 Damit ist mein Vater verherrlicht, daß ihr viele Frucht bringt und meine Jünger seid.
In this was My Father glorified, that you may bear much fruit, and you will become My disciples.
9 Wie mich der Vater geliebt, habe auch ich euch geliebt; bleibet in meiner Liebe.
According as the Father loved Me, I also loved you, remain in My love;
10 Wenn ihr meine Gebote haltet, dann werdet ihr in meiner Liebe bleiben, so wie ich die Gebote meines Vaters gehalten habe, und bleibe in seiner Liebe.
if you may keep My commands, you will remain in My love, according as I have kept the commands of My Father, and remain in His love;
11 Dieses habe ich zu euch geredet, damit meine Freude über euch komme, und eure Freude völlig werde.
these things I have spoken to you, that My joy in you may remain, and your joy may be full.
12 Das ist mein Gebot, daß ihr einander liebet, wie ich euch geliebt habe.
This is My command, that you love one another, according as I loved you;
13 Niemand hat eine größere Liebe als die, daß er sein Leben für seine Freunde einsetzt.
greater love has no one than this, that anyone may lay down his life for his friends;
14 Ihr seid meine Freunde, wenn ihr thut, was ich euch auftrage.
you are My friends if you may do whatever I command you;
15 Ich nenne euch nicht mehr Knechte, weil der Knecht nicht weiß, was sein Herr thut; vielmehr habe ich euch Freunde genannt, weil ich euch alles, was ich von meinem Vater gehört, kundgethan habe.
I no longer call you servants, because the servant has not known what his lord does, and I have called you friends, because all things that I heard from My Father, I made known to you.
16 Nicht ihr habt mich erwählt, sondern ich habe euch erwählt, und habe euch bestellt, daß ihr hingeht und Frucht bringet, und eure Frucht bleibe, damit was ihr den Vater bittet in meinem Namen, er euch gebe.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you might go away, and might bear fruit, and your fruit might remain, that whatever you may ask of the Father in My Name, He may give you.
17 Das gebe ich euch auf, daß ihr einander liebet.
These things I command you, that you love one another;
18 Wenn euch die Welt haßt, so bedenket, daß sie mich zuerst gehaßt hat.
if the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you;
19 Wenn ihr von der Welt wäret, so würde die Welt das Ihrige lieben. Weil ihr aber nicht von der Welt seid, sondern ich euch von der Welt ausgelesen habe, deswegen haßt euch die Welt.
if you were of the world, the world would have been cherishing its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose [you] out of the world—because of this the world hates you.
20 Gedenket des Wortes, das ich zu euch gesagt habe: ein Knecht ist nicht mehr, als sein Herr. Wenn sie mich verfolgt haben, werden sie auch euch verfolgen; wenn sie mein Wort gehalten haben, werden sie auch das eure halten.
Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his lord; if they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will also keep yours;
21 Aber dieses alles werden sie an euch thun, um meines Namens willen, weil sie den nicht kennen, der mich gesandt hat.
but all these things will they do to you, because of My Name, because they have not known Him who sent Me;
22 Wenn ich nicht gekommen wäre und hätte zu ihnen geredet, so hätten sie nicht Sünde; nun aber haben sie keinen Vorwand für ihre Sünde.
if I had not come and spoken to them, they were not having sin; but now they have no pretext for their sin.
23 Wer mich hasset, der hasset auch meinen Vater.
He who is hating Me, hates My Father also;
24 Wenn ich die Werke nicht unter ihnen gethan hätte, die kein anderer gethan, so hätten sie nicht Sünde; nun aber haben sie es gesehen und haben mich gehaßt und meinen Vater.
if I did not do among them the works that no other has done, they were not having sin, and now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father;
25 Aber es soll das Wort erfüllt werden, das in ihrem Gesetze geschrieben steht: Sie haben mich umsonst gehaßt.
but—that the word may be fulfilled that was written in their law—They hated Me without a cause.
26 Wenn der Fürsprecher kommt, welchen ich euch senden werde vom Vater, der Geist der Wahrheit, der vom Vater ausgeht, der wird von mir zeugen.
And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth, who comes forth from the Father, He will testify of Me;
27 Aber auch ihr zeuget, weil ihr von Anfang bei mir waret.
and you also testify, because you are with Me from the beginning.”
