Jeremia 32

1 Das Wort, welches an Jeremia von seiten Jahwes erging im zehnten Jahre Zedekias, des Königs von Juda, das ist das achtzehnte Jahr Nebukadrezars.

The worde that came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, in the tenth yere of Zedekiah king of Iudah, which was the eightenth yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar.

2 Damals belagerte das Heer des Königs von Babel Jerusalem; der Prophet Jeremia aber lag im Wachthofe, der zum Palaste des Königs von Juda gehörte, gefangen.

For then the King of Babels hoste besieged Ierusalem: And Ieremiah the Prophet was shutte vp in the court of the prison, which was in the King of Iudahs house.

3 Zedekia, der König von Juda, hatte ihn nämlich gefangen gesetzt, indem er ihm vorwarf: Warum weissagst du denn: So spricht Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will diese Stadt in die Gewalt des Königs von Babel überliefern, daß er sie einnehme,

For Zedekiah King of Iudah had shut him vp, saying, Wherefore doest thou prophesie, and say, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will giue this citie into the handes of the King of Babel, and he shall take it?

4 und Zedekia, der König von Juda, soll den Händen der Chaldäer nicht entrinnen, sondern wird ganz gewiß in die Gewalt des Königs von Babel überliefert werden und er wird von Mund zu Mund mit ihm reden und Auge in Auge ihn sehen:

And Zedekiah the King of Iudah shall not escape out of the hande of the Caldeans, but shall surely be deliuered into the handes of the King of Babel, and shall speake with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall beholde his face,

5 und zwar nach Babel wird er Zedekia führen, und daselbst soll er bleiben, so lange, bis ich mich seiner wieder annehme! - ist der Spruch Jahwes. Wenn ihr also mit den Chaldäern kämpft, so werdet ihr keinen Erfolg haben.

And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babel, and there shall he be, vntil I visit him, saith ye Lord: though ye fight with the Caldeans, ye shall not prosper.

6 Und Jeremia sprach: Das Wort Jahwes ist an mich ergangen folgendermaßen:

And Ieremiah said, The word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

7 Bald wird Hanameel, der Sohn deines Oheims Sallum, zu dir kommen, dir zu sagen: Kaufe meinen Acker in Anathoth, denn dir steht das Recht der Einlösung zu, daß du ihn kaufest!

Beholde, Hanameel, the sonne of Shallum thine vncle, shall come vnto thee and say, Bye vnto thee my fielde, that is in Anathoth: for the title by kindred appertaineth vnto thee to bye it.

8 Und es kam mein Vetter Hanameel, wie Jahwe vorausgesagt, zu mir in den Wachthof und sprach zu mir: Kaufe doch meinen Acker in Anathoth, welches im Stammlande Benjamin liegt, denn dir steht das Erbrecht und das Recht der Einlösung zu - kauf ihn dir! Da erkannte ich, daß es Jahwes Wort war,

So Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, came to mee in the court of the prison, according to the word of the Lord, and said vnto me, Bye my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the countrey of Beniamin: for the right of the possession is thine, and the purchase belongeth vnto thee: bye it for thee. Then I knewe that this was the worde of the Lord.

9 kaufte den Acker von meinem Vetter Hanameel und wog ihm das Geld dar, sieben Goldsekel und zehn Silbersekel.

And I bought the field of Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the siluer, euen seuen shekels, and tenne pieces of siluer.

10 Dann schrieb ich den Kaufvertrag auf ein Blatt, siegelte ihn und nahm Zeugen hinzu und wog das Geld mit der Wage dar.

And I writ it in the booke and signed it, and tooke witnesses, and weighed him the siluer in the balances.

11 Sodann nahm ich den gesiegelten Kaufbrief

So I tooke the booke of the possession, being sealed according to the Lawe, and custome, with the booke that was open,

12 und übergab den Kaufbrief an Baruch, den Sohn Nerijas, des Sohnes Mahasejas, in Gegenwart meines Vetters Hanameel und in Gegenwart der Zeugen, die den Kaufbrief unterschrieben hatten, in Gegenwart aller Judäer, die sich im Wachthofe aufhielten,

And I gaue the booke of the possession vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, the sonne of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine vncles sonne, and in the presence of the witnesses, written in the booke of the possession, before al the Iewes that sate in the court of the prison.

13 und wies in ihrer Gegenwart Baruch an:

And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14 So spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Nimm diese Briefe, diesen gesiegelten Kaufbrief und diesen offenen Kaufbrief, und lege sie in ein Thongefäß, damit sie geraume Zeit erhalten bleiben.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Take the writings, euen this booke of the possession, both that is sealed, and this booke that is open, and put them in an earthen vessell, that they may continue a long time.

15 Denn so spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Es sollen dereinst wieder Häuser und Äcker und Weinberge in diesem Lande gekauft werden!

For the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel saith thus, Houses and fieldes, and vineyardes shall be possessed againe in this land.

16 Und nachdem ich Baruch, dem Sohne Nerijas, den Kaufbrief übergeben hatte, betete ich folgendermaßen zu Jahwe:

Now when I had deliuered the booke of the possession vnto Baruch, the sonne of Neriah, I prayed vnto the Lord, saying,

17 Ach, Herr Jahwe! Fürwahr, du hast den Himmel und die Erde durch deine große Macht und durch deinen ausgereckten Arm geschaffen - für dich ist kein Ding unmöglich!

Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.

18 Der du Tausenden Gnade erweisest und die Verschuldung der Väter in den Schoß ihrer Kinder nach ihnen heimzahlst, - o großer, gewaltiger Gott, des Name Jahwe der Heerscharen ist,

Thou shewest mercie vnto thousands, and recompensest the iniquitie of the fathers into the bosome of their children after them: O God the great and mightie, whose Name is ye Lord of hostes,

19 groß an Rat und mächtig an That, du, dessen Augen über allen Wegen der Menschenkinder offenstehen, daß du einem jeden nach seinem Wandel und gemäß den Früchten seiner Thaten vergiltst,

Great in counsell, and mightie in worke, (for thine eyes are open vpon all the wayes of ye sonnes of men, to giue to euery one according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes)

20 der du Zeichen und Wunder gewirkt hast in Ägypten und bis auf den heutigen Tag, sowohl an Israel wie an den Menschen überhaupt, und dir einen Namen gemacht hast, wie es heute der Fall ist.

Which hast set signes and wonders in the land of Egypt vnto this day, and in Israel, and among all men, and hast made thee a Name, as appeareth this day,

21 Und du führtest dein Volk Israel aus Ägypten hinweg unter Zeichen und Wundern und mit mächtiger Hand und ausgerecktem Arm und mit großem Schrecken

And hast brought thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signes, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, with a stretched out arme, and with great terrour,

22 und gabst ihnen dieses Land, dessen Verleihung an sie du ihren Vätern zugeschworen hattest, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt.

And hast giuen them this land, which thou diddest sweare to their fathers to giue them, euen a land, that floweth with milke and hony,

23 Als sie aber hereingekommen waren und es in Besitz genommen hatten, da gehorchten sie deinen Befehlen nicht, noch wandelten sie nach deinem Gesetze, thaten nichts von dem, was du ihnen zu thun geboten; da ließest du ihnen all' dieses Unheil zustoßen.

And they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voyce, neither walked in thy Law: all that thou commaundedst them to doe, they haue not done: therefore thou hast caused this whole plague to come vpon them.

24 Schon reichen die Wälle bis an die Stadt zu ihrer Eroberung, und die Stadt ist der Gewalt der Chaldäer, die sie belagern, infolge des Schwerts und des Hungers und der Pest überliefert, und was du angedroht hattest, ist geschehen, und du hast es vor Augen.

Beholde, the mounts, they are come into the citie to take it, and the citie is giuen into the hande of the Caldeans, that fight against it by meanes of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence, and what thou hast spoken, is come to passe, and beholde, thou seest it.

25 Und doch sprachst du, Herr Jahwe, zu mir: Kaufe dir den Acker für Geld und nimm Zeugen hinzu! - während doch die Stadt der Gewalt der Chaldäer überliefert ist.

And thou hast sayd vnto me, O Lord God, Bye vnto thee the fielde for siluer, and take witnesses: for the citie shall be giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.

26 Da erging das Wort Jahwes an Jeremia folgendermaßen:

Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,

27 Fürwahr, ich bin Jahwe, der Gott alles Fleisches, - ist wohl für mich irgend etwas unmöglich?

Beholde, I am the LORD GOD of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

28 Darum so spricht Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will diese Stadt in die Gewalt der Chaldäer und in die Gewalt Nebukadrezars, des Königs von Babel, überliefern, daß er sie einnehme,

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I wil giue this citie into the hand of the Caldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar, King of Babel, and he shall take it.

29 und die Chaldäer, die diese Stadt belagern, werden eindringen und diese Stadt anzünden und niederbrennen, - auch die Häuser, auf deren Dächern sie dem Baal geräuchert und andern Göttern Trankopfer gespendet haben, um mich zum Zorne zu reizen.

And the Caldeans shall come and fight against this citie, and set fire on this citie and burne it, with the houses, vpon whose rouses they haue offred incense vnto Baal, and powred drinke offrings vnto other gods, to prouoke me vnto anger.

30 Denn die Israeliten und die Judäer pflegten von Jugend auf nur das zu thun, was mir mißfällig war; denn die Israeliten reizten mich ohne Aufhören durch die Machwerke ihrer Hände zum Zorn - ist der Spruch Jahwes;

For the children of Israel, and the children of Iudah haue surely done euill before me from their youth: for the children of Israel haue surely prouoked me to anger with the workes of their hands, saith the Lord.

31 ja, ein Anlaß zum Zorn und zum Grimm war mir diese Stadt von der Zeit an, da man sie erbaute, bis auf den heutigen Tag, so daß ich sie mir aus den Augen schaffen muß,

Therefore this citie hath bene vnto me as a prouocation of mine anger, and of my wrath, from the day, that they built it, euen vnto this day, that I should remoue it out of my sight,

32 wegen all' der Bosheit der Israeliten und der Judäer, die sie verübt haben, um mich zum Zorne zu reizen, sie, ihre Könige, ihre Oberen, ihre Priester und ihre Propheten und die Männer von Juda und die Bewohner Jerusalems.

Because of all the euill of the children of Israel, and of the children of Iudah, which they haue done to prouoke mee to anger, euen they, their Kings, their Princes, their Priests, and their Prophets, and the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem.

33 Sie kehrten mir den Rücken zu und nicht das Angesicht und, obwohl man sie unermüdlich immer wieder belehrte, hörten sie dennoch nicht, daß sie Zucht angenommen hätten.

And they haue turned vnto me the backe and not the face: though I taught them rising vp earely, and instructing them, yet they were not obedient to receiue doctrine,

34 Vielmehr stellten sie ihre Scheusale selbst in dem Tempel auf, der nach meinem Namen genannt ist, um ihn so zu verunreinigen.

But they set their abominations in ye house (whereupon my Name was called) to defile it,

35 Sie erbauten die Baalshöhen im Thale Ben Hinnom, um ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter dem Melech zu verbrennen, - was ich ihnen nicht geboten habe, und was mir nicht in den Sinn gekommen ist, daß sie solche Greuel verüben sollten, um Juda zur Sünde zu verführen.

And they built the hie places of Baal, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to cause their sonnes and their daughters to passe through the fire vnto Molech, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my minde, that they should doe such abomination, to cause Iudah to sinne.

36 Und nun - darum spricht also Jahwe, der Gott Israels, in betreff dieser Stadt, von der ihr sagt, sie sei durch das Schwert und durch den Hunger und durch die Pest der Gewalt des Königs von Babel überliefert:

And nowe therefore, thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken, concerning this citie, whereof ye say, It shalbe deliuered into the hand of the King of Babel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence,

37 Fürwahr, ich will sie aus allen Ländern, wohin ich sie in meinem Grimm und mit heftigem Grolle verstoßen habe, sammeln und an diesen Ort zurückbringen und daselbst in Sicherheit wohnen lassen.

Beholde, I will gather them out of all countreys, wherein I haue scattered them in mine anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation, and I wil bring them againe vnto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.

38 Dann sollen sie mein Volk, und ich will ihr Gott sein

And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

39 und will ihnen einerlei Sinn und einerlei Wandel verleihen, daß sie mich alle Zeit fürchten, ihnen und ihren Kindern zum Heile.

And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.

40 Und ich will einen immerwährenden Bund mit ihnen schließen, daß ich mich mit meinen Wohlthaten nie von ihnen abwenden will, und will ihnen Furcht vor mir ins Herz legen, daß sie nicht von mir weichen.

And I wil make an euerlasting couenant with them, that I wil neuer turne away from them to doe them good, but I wil put my feare in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 Vielmehr werde ich meine Wonne an ihnen haben, daß ich ihnen Gutes thue, und will sie einpflanzen in dieses Land in Treue, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.

Yea, I wil delite in them to do them good, and I wil plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart, and with all my soule.

42 Denn so spricht Jahwe: Wie ich über dieses Volk all' dies schwere Unheil gebracht habe, so bringe ich auch über sie all' das Gute, das ich ihnen verheiße,

For thus sayth the Lord, Like as I haue brought all this great plague vpon this people, so wil I bring vpon them all the good that I haue promised them.

43 und man wird wieder Äcker kaufen in diesem Lande, von dem ihr sagt: Eine Einöde ist's, ohne Menschen und Vieh! in die Gewalt der Chaldäer ist's überliefert!

And the fields shalbe possessed in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast, and shalbe giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.

44 Man wird Äcker für Geld kaufen und Kaufbriefe schreiben und siegeln und Zeugen hinzunehmen, im Lande Benjamin wie in der Umgebung Jerusalems und in den Städten Judas und in den Städten auf dem Gebirge und in den Städten in der Niederung und in den Städten des Südlandes: denn ich werde ihre Gefangenen heimführen! - ist der Spruch Jahwes.

Men shall buy fields for siluer, and make writings and seale them, and take witnesses in the land of Beniamin, and round about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah, and in the cities of the mountaines, and in the cities of the plaine, and in the cities of the South: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, saith the Lord.
