Jeremia 15
1 Da sprach Jahwe zu mir: Wenn auch Mose und Samuel vor mich hinträten, so würde ich mich doch diesem Volke nicht mehr zuwenden, - schaffe sie mir aus den Augen, daß sie von dannen gehen!
Then sayde the Lord vnto me, Though Moses and Samuel stoode before mee, yet mine affection coulde not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them depart.
2 Und wenn sie zu dir sprechen: Wohin sollen wir gehen? so sage ihnen: So spricht Jahwe: Wer zur Seuche zu gehen bestimmt ist - zur Seuche! und wer zum Schwerte - zum Schwerte! und wer zum Hunger - zum Hunger! und wer zur Gefangenschaft - zur Gefangenschaft!
And if they say vnto thee, Whither shall we depart? then tell them, Thus saith the Lord, Such as are appointed to death, vnto death: and such as are for the sworde, to the sworde: and such as are for the famine, to the famine: and such as are for the captiuitie, to the captiuitie.
3 Viererlei Wesen beordere ich wider sie - ist der Spruch Jahwes: das Schwert zum Morden, die Hunde zum Fortschleifen, die Vögel unter dem Himmel und die Tiere des Landes zum Fressen und zum Vertilgen.
And I wil appoint ouer them foure kindes, sayth the Lord, the sworde to slay, and the dogs to teare in pieces, and the soules of the heauen, and the beastes of the earth to deuoure, and to destroy.
4 Und ich will sie zu einem Schreckbilde machen für alle Königreiche der Erde - um Manasses, des Sohnes Hiskias, des Königs von Juda, willen, wegen dessen, was er in Jerusalem gethan hat.
I will scatter them also in all kingdomes of the earth, because of Manasseh the sonne of Hezekiah King of Iudah, for that which he did in Ierusalem.
5 Denn wer wird Erbarmen mit dir haben, Jerusalem? und wer dir Teilnahme beweisen? und wer bei dir einkehren, um sich nach deinem Befinden zu erkundigen?
Who shall then haue pitie vpon thee, O Ierusalem? or who shalbe sorie for thee? or who shall go to pray for thy peace?
6 Du hast mich verstoßen, ist der Spruch Jahwes, zogst dich zurück, darum habe ich meine Hand wider dich ausgestreckt und dich zu Grunde gerichtet, - ich bin's müde geworden, Erbarmen zu üben.
Thou hast forsaken me, sayth the Lord, and gone backward: therefore wil I stretch out mine hand against thee, and destroy thee: for I am weary with repenting.
7 Darum worfelte ich sie mit der Wurfgabel an den Thoren des Landes, machte kinderlos, vernichtete mein Volk: von ihren bösen Wegen kehrten sie nicht um!
And I wil scatter them with the fanne in the gates of the earth I haue wasted, and destroyed my people, yet they would not returne from their wayes.
8 Seine Witwen wurden mir zahlreicher als der Sand am Meere. Ich brachte ihnen über die Mütter der jungen Mannschaft den Verwüster am hellen Mittag, ließ plötzlich auf sie fallen Angst und Schrecken.
Their widdowes are increased by mee aboue the sande of the sea: I haue brought vpon them, and against the assembly of the yong men a destroyer at noone day: I haue caused him to fal vpon them, and the citie suddenly, and speedily.
9 Dahin welkte die, welche sieben geboren, sie hauchte ihre Seele aus. Ihre Sonne ging unter, als es noch Tag war, sie ward zu Schanden und mit Scham bedeckt. Und was von ihnen noch übrig ist, will ich dem Schwerte preisgeben auf der Flucht vor ihren Feinden! - ist der Spruch Jahwes.
Shee that hath borne seuen, hath bene made weake: her heart hath failed: the sunne hath failed her, whiles it was day: she hath bene confounded, and ashamed, and the residue of them will I deliuer vnto the sworde before their enemies, sayth the Lord.
10 O wehe! meine Mutter, daß du mich geboren, einen Mann des Streits und einen Mann des Haders für alle Welt! Ich habe weder ausgeliehen, noch hat man mir geliehen, aber allesamt fluchen sie mir!
Wo is mee, my mother, that thou hast borne mee, a contentious man, and a man that striueth with the whole earth I haue neither lent on vsury, nor men haue lent vnto me on vsurie: yet euery one doeth curse me.
11 Es sprach Jahwe: Wahrlich, ich erhalte dich zum Guten! Wahrlich, ich will machen, daß dich der Feind zur Zeit des Unheils und zur Zeit der Bedrängnis um Fürbitte angeht!
The Lord sayd, Surely thy remnant shall haue wealth: surely I will cause thine enemie to intreate thee in the time of trouble, and in the time of affliction.
12 Kann auch Eisen brüchig werden, nordisches Eisen und Erz?
Shall the yron breake the yron, and the brasse that commeth from the North?
13 Dein Vermögen und deine Schätze gebe ich dem Raube preis, nicht für Entgelt, vielmehr für alle deine Sünden, und zwar die du begangen in allen deinen Marken.
Thy substance and thy treasures wil I giue to be spoyled without gaine, and that for all thy sinnes euen in all thy borders.
14 Und ich lasse dich deinen Feinden in einem Lande dienen, das du bisher nicht gekannt; denn ein Feuer lodert auf in meiner Nase: wider euch ist's angezündet!
And I wil make thee to go with thine enemies into a land that thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burne you.
15 Ja du weißt es, Jahwe! Gedenke mein und nimm dich meiner an und schaffe mir Rache an meinen Verfolgern; raffe mich nicht hinweg in deiner Langmut gegen sie, - bedenke, daß ich um deinetwillen Schmach trage!
O Lord, thou knowest, remember me, and visite me, and reuenge me of my persecuters: take mee not away in the continuance of thine anger: know that for thy sake I haue suffered rebuke.
16 Gab es Worte von dir, so verschlang ich sie, und es gereichten mir deine Worte zur Wonne und zur Freude meines Herzens, weil ich nach deinem Namen genannt bin, Jahwe, du Gott der Heerscharen.
Thy wordes were founde by me, and I did eate them, and thy worde was vnto me the ioy and reioycing of mine heart: for thy Name is called vpon me, O Lord God of hostes.
17 Nicht saß ich im Kreise Fröhlicher, daß ich mit gejubelt hätte: vielmehr wegen deiner Hand saß ich einsam, weil du mich mit Unmut erfülltest.
I sate not in the assembly of the mockers, neither did I reioyce, but sate alone because of thy plague: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
18 Warum ist mein Schmerz dauernd geworden, meine Wunde bösartig, daß sie sich nicht heilen läßt? Ja, du bist für mich einem trügerischen Bache gleich, wie Wasser, auf die kein Verlaß ist.
Why is mine heauines continuall? and my plague desperate and cannot be healed? why art thou vnto me as a lyar, and as waters that faile?
19 Deshalb sprach Jahwe also: Wenn du von deinem Kleinmut umkehrst, so will ich dich wieder vor mich hintreten lassen, - und wenn du nur Köstliches vorbringen wirst ohne Gemeines, dann sollst du mir wieder als Mund dienen! Sie sollen sich alsdann nach dir umwenden, du aber wirst dich nicht nach ihnen umwenden,
Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou returne, then wil I bring thee againe, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take away the precious from the vile, thou shalt be according to my worde: let them returne vnto thee, but returne not thou vnto them.
20 und ich will dich diesem Volke gegenüber zu einer unüberwindlichen ehernen Mauer machen, und kämpfen sie wider dich, so werden sie doch nichts über dich vermögen, denn ich bin mit dir, dir zu helfen und dich zu erretten, - ist der Spruch Jahwes,
And I will make thee vnto this people a strong brasen wall, and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not preuaile against thee: for I am with thee to saue thee and to deliuer thee, saith ye Lord.
21 und ich will dich aus der Hand der Bösen erretten und dich aus der Faust der Gewaltthätigen befreien.
And I will deliuer thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeeme thee out of the hand of the tyrants.
