Jesaja 7

1 Zur Zeit Ahas', des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Usias, des Königs von Juda, zogen Rezin, der König von Aram, und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, der König von Israel, gegen Jerusalem heran, um es anzugreifen. Aber sie vermochten nicht wider Jerusalem zu kämpfen.

And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.

2 Als aber dem Hause Davids gemeldet wurde: die Aramäer lagern in Ephraim! da erbebte sein und seines Volkes Herz, wie die Bäume des Waldes vor dem Wind erbeben.

And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.

3 Jahwe aber sprach zu Jesaja: Gehe hinaus zu Ahas, du und dein Sohn Searjasub, an das Ende der Wasserleitung des oberen Teichs, nach der Straße am Walkerfeld

Then sayde the Lord vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,

4 und sprich zu ihm: Hüte dich und halte Ruhe, fürchte dich nicht, und dein Herz verzage nicht wegen dieser beiden rauchenden Stummel von Feuerbränden, trotz des lodernden Zorns Rezins und der Aramäer und des Sohnes Remaljas!

And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:

5 Deshalb, weil Aram, Ephraim und der Sohn Remaljas Böses wider dich beschlossen haben, nämlich:

Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,

6 Wir wollen gegen Juda ziehen und ihm ein Grauen einjagen und es für uns erobern und den Sohn Tabels zum König darin machen! -

Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.

7 so hat der Herr Jahwe gesprochen: Es soll nicht zu stande kommen und soll nicht geschehen!

Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.

8 Denn Damaskus ist das Haupt Arams und Rezin ist das Haupt von Damaskus, und nach fünfundsechzig Jahren von jetzt ab wird Ephraim zertrümmert werden, so daß es kein Volk mehr ist,

For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.

9 und Samaria ist das Haupt von Ephraim und der Sohn Remaljas das Haupt von Samaria! Glaubt ihr nicht, so bleibt ihr nicht!

And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. If ye beleeue not, surely ye shall not be established.

10 Und Jahwe redete weiterhin also zu Ahas:

And the Lord spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,

11 Erbitte dir ein Zeichen von Jahwe, deinem Gotte, tief unten aus der Unterwelt oder hoch oben aus der Höhe! (Sheol h7585)

Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue. (Sheol h7585)

12 Ahas aber erwiderte: Ich will nicht bitten und Jahwe nicht versuchen!

But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.

13 Da sprach er: Hört doch, ihr vom Hause Davids! Ist's euch nicht genug, Menschen zu ermüden, daß ihr auch meinen Gott ermüdet?

Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?

14 Darum wird euch der Herr selbst ein Zeichen geben: Ein junges Weib wird schwanger werden und einen Sohn gebären und ihn Immanuel nennen.

Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.

15 Von Dickmilch und Honig wird er leben, bis er das Böse verwerfen und das Gute erwählen lernt.

Butter and hony shall he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.

16 Denn ehe der Knabe das Böse verwerfen und das Gute erwählen lernt, wird das Land, vor dessen beiden Königen dir graut, verödet sein,

For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.

17 - wird Jahwe über dich und dein Volk und dein Haus Tage kommen lassen, dergleichen nicht gekommen sind, seitdem Ephraim von Juda abfiel, den König von Assyrien.

The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.

18 Und an jenem Tage wird Jahwe die Bremse am Ende der Nilarme Ägyptens und die Biene im Lande Assur herbeilocken,

And in that day shall the Lord hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,

19 daß sie alle hereinkommen und sich niederlassen in den Thalschluchten und den Felsspalten und in allen Dornsträuchern und auf allen Triften.

And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.

20 An jenem Tage wird der Herr mit dem Scheermesser, das am Ufer des Euphrat gedungen ist, mit dem Könige von Assyrien, das Haupt und die Schamhaare abscheeren, und selbst den Bart wird es wegnehmen.

In that day shall the Lord shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.

21 Und an jenem Tage wird sich einer eine junge Kuh und zwei Stück Kleinvieh halten,

And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kow, and two sheepe.

22 und wegen der Menge Milch, die sie geben, wird er von Dickmilch leben; denn von Dickmilch und Honig wird jeder leben, der im Lande noch übrig ist.

And for the abundance of milke, that they shall giue, hee shall eate butter: for butter and hony shall euery one eate, which is left within the land.

23 Und an jenem Tage wird jeder Platz, wo tausend Weinstöcke im Werte von tausend Sekeln stehen, den Dornen und dem Gestrüpp verfallen.

And at the same day euery place, wherein shalbe a thousand vines, shalbe at a thousand pieces of siluer: so it shalbe for the briers and for the thornes.

24 Mit Pfeil und Bogen wird man sie betreten; denn Dornen und Gestrüpp werden allenthalben im Lande sein.

With arrowes and with bowe shall one come thither: because all the land shall be briers and thornes.

25 Und von den Bergen, die jetzt mit dem Karste behackt werden, wird man keinen betreten, aus Scheu vor Dornen und Gestrüpp, sondern wird die Rinder hintreiben und sie von den Schafen zertreten lassen.

But on all the mountaines, which shalbe digged with the mattocke, there shall not come thither the feare of briers and thornes: but they shalbe for the sending out of bullocks, and for the treading of sheepe.
