Jesaja 55
1 Ha! ihr Durstigen alle, kommt herbei zum Wasser! und ihr, die ihr kein Brot habt, kommt, kauft Getreide ein und esset! Ja kommt, kauft Getreide ohne Geld und ohne Bezahlung Wein und Milch!
"Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters. Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Warum wollt ihr Geld darwägen, um doch kein Brot zu erhalten, und euren Verdienst für etwas, das euch nicht satt macht? Hört vielmehr auf mich, so sollt ihr Gutes zu essen haben, und eure Seele soll sich erlaben an Fett!
Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which doesn't satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Neigt euer Ohr und kommt her zu mir! Hört, daß eure Seele auflebe! Und ich will euch einen ewigen Bund gewähren: - die unverbrüchlichen Gnadenerweisungen an David!
Turn your ear, and come to me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful kindnesses of David.
4 Wahrlich, zu einem Zeugen für Völker habe ich ihn gemacht, zum Fürsten und Gebieter über Nationen!
Look, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.
5 Fürwahr, ein Volk, das du nicht kennst, wirst du herbeirufen, und Leute, die dich nicht kennen, werden zu dir hinlaufen um Jahwes, deines Gottes, willen und des Heiligen Israels halber, weil er dich verherrlicht hat!
Look, you shall call a nation that you do not know; and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you."
6 Suchet Jahwe, während er sich finden läßt, rufet ihn an, während er nahe ist!
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call you on him while he is near:
7 Der Gottlose möge von seinem Wandel lassen, und der Nichtswürdige von seinen Ränken und möge sich zu Jahwe bekehren, so wird er sich seiner erbarmen, und zu unserem Gotte, denn er wird reichlich vergeben.
let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken und eure Wege nicht meine Wege, ist der Spruch Jahwes;
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says the LORD.
9 sondern so viel der Himmel höher ist als die Erde, so viel sind auch meine Wege höher als eure Wege und meine Gedanken als eure Gedanken!
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 Denn gleichwie der Regen und der Schnee vom Himmel herabfällt und nicht wieder dorthin zurückkehrt - es sei denn, daß er die Erde getränkt und befruchtet und zum Sprossen gebracht und Samen zum Säen und Brot zum Essen dargereicht hat -,
For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn't return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 ebenso wird mein Wort sein, das aus meinem Munde hervorgeht: es wird nicht leer zu mir zurückkehren, es sei den, daß es vollbracht hat, was ich wollte, und durchgeführt, wozu ich es sandte!
so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
12 Denn mit Freuden werdet ihr ausziehen und in Frieden geleitet werden. Die Berge und die Hügel werden vor euch in Jubel ausbrechen, und alle Bäume des Feldes in die Hände klatschen.
For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.
13 Statt Dorngestrüpp werden Cypressen emporwachsen, und statt der Nesseln werden Myrten emporwachsen, und es wird Jahwe zum Ruhme gereichen, zu einem ewigen, unvertilgbaren Merkzeichen.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree; and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."
