Jesaja 45
1 So spricht Jahwe zu seinem Gesalbten, zu Cyrus - dessen Rechte ich ergriffen habe, um Völker vor ihm niederzutreten und die Hüften von Königen zu entgürten, daß sich die Thüren vor ihm aufthun, und die Thore nicht verschlossen bleiben:
Thus saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut.
2 Ich werde vor dir hergehen und das Höckerichte ebnen; eherne Thüren will ich zertrümmern und eiserne Riegel zerhauen,
I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and will burst the bars of iron.
3 und will dir die im Dunkel lagernden Schätze geben und tief versteckte Reichtümer dir aufthun, damit du erkennest, daß ich, Jahwe es bin, der dich bei deinem Namen ruft, der Gott Israels!
And I will give thee hidden treasures, and the concealed riches of secret places: that thou mayest know that I am the Lord who call thee by thy name, the God of Israel.
4 Um meines Knechtes Jakobs und um Israels, meines Erwählten, willen rief ich dich bei deinem Namen, belegte dich mit Schmeichelnamen, ohne daß du mich noch kanntest.
For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me.
5 Ich bin Jahwe, und keiner sonst, und außer mir giebt es keinen Gott! Ich gürtete dich, ohne daß du mich noch kannest,
I am the Lord, and there is none else: there is no God, besides me: I girded thee, and thou hast not known me:
6 damit sie erkennen sollten da, wo die Sonne aufgeht und wo sie untergeht, daß es niemanden giebt außer mir: ich bin Jahwe, und keiner sonst,
That they may know who are from the rising of the sun, and they who are from the west, that there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is none else:
7 der das Licht bildet und Finsternis schafft, der Heil wirkt und Unheil schafft, - ich, Jahwe, bin's, der alles dies bewirkt.
I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord that do all these things.
8 Träufle, o Himmel, droben, und aus den Wolken möge Recht rieseln! Die Erde thue sich aufund trage reichlich Heil und lasse Gerechtigkeit zumal hervorsprossen: ich, Jahwe, habe es geschaffen!
Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened, and bud forth a saviour: and let justice spring up together: I the Lord have created him.
9 Hadert wohl ein Gefäß mit seinem Bildner, eine Scherbe mit dem Werkmeister in Thonerde? Sagt wohl der Thon zu seinem Bildner: Was machst du? oder zu dem, der mit ihm arbeitet: du hast ja keine Hände!
Woe to him that gainsayeth his maker, a sherd of the earthen pots: shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it: What art thou making, and thy work is without hands?
10 Sagt wohl jemand zum Vater: Warum zeugst du? und zu dessen Weibe: Warum kreißest du?
Woe to him that saith to his father: Why begettest thou? and to the woman: Why dost thou bring forth?
11 So spricht Jahwe, der Heilige Israels, und der es gebildet: Nach dem Zukünftigen fragt mich und in betreff meiner Söhne und des Werks meiner Hände laßt mich sorgen!
Thus saith the Lord the Holy One of Israel, his maker: Ask me of things to come, concerning my children, and concerning the work of my hands give ye charge to me.
12 Ich habe die Erde gemacht und die Menschen auf ihr geschaffen; meine Hände haben den Himmel ausgespannt und all' ihr Heer habe ich beordert.
I made the earth: and I created man upon it: my hand stretched forth the heavens, and I have commanded all their host.
13 Ich habe ihn erweckt, wie es Recht war, und alle seine Wege will ich ebnen: er wird meine Stadt aufbauen und meine Gefangenen loslassen, - nicht um einen Kaufpreis und nicht um ein Gegengeschenk: spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen.
I have raised him up to justice, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and let go my captives, not for ransom, nor for presents, saith the Lord the God of hosts.
14 So spricht Jahwe: Der Erwerb Ägyptens und der Handelsertrag von Kusch und sie Sebaiten, die hochgewachsenen Männer, - auf dich werde sie übergehen und dir angehören: in Fesseln werden sie dir nachfolgen. Und sie werden vor dir niederfallen und dich anflehen: Nur in dir ist Gott und außerdem giebt es keinen, keine Gottheit weiter!
Thus saith the Lord: The labour of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of Sabaim, men of stature shall come over to thee, and shall be thins: they shall walk after thee, they shall go bound with manacles: and they shall worship thee, and shall make supplication to thee: only in thee is God, and there is no God besides thee.
15 Fürwahr, du bist ein verborgener Gott, Gott Israels, ein Erretter!
Verily thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel the saviour.
16 Zu Schanden werden sie alle und tief beschämt; insgesamt wandeln sie in Schmach dahin, die Götzenverfertiger.
They are all confounded and ashamed: the forgers of errors are gone together into confusion.
17 Israel jedoch ist durch Jahwe gerettet zu ewigem Heil: ihr sollt nicht mehr zu Schanden noch beschämt werden in alle Ewigkeit!
Israel is saved in the Lord with as eternal salvation: you shall not be confounded, and you shall not be ashamed for ever and ever.
18 Denn so spricht Jahwe, der Schöpfer des Himmels, - er ist der alleinige Gott, der Bildner der Erde und ihr Verfertiger; er hat sie hergestellt: nicht zu einer Einöde hat er sie geschaffen, sondern daß sie bewohnt werde, hat er sie gebildet -: ich bin Jahwe und keiner sonst!
For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, God himself that formed the earth, and made it, the very maker thereof: he did not create it in vain: he formed it to be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
19 Nicht im Verborgenen habe ich geredet, an einer Stätte finstern Landes, noch habe ich zu den nachkommen Jakobs gesagt: Umsonst suchet mich! Ich, Jahwe, rede richtiges, verkündige Wahrhaftiges!
I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I have not said to the seed of Jacob: Seek me in vain. I am the Lord that speak justice, that declare right things.
20 Versammelt euch und kommt herbei, tretet allesamt heran, die ihr den Heiden entronnen seid: ohne Einsicht sind, die sich schleppen mit ihren hölzernen Bildern und die beten zu einem Gotte, der nicht erretten kann.
Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, ye that are saved of the Gentiles: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work, and pray to a god that cannot save.
21 Thut kund und legt dar! Ja, beratschlagen mögen sie miteinander: Wer hat dies schon vor Alters verkündigt, vorlängst es kund gethan? War ich, Jahwe, es nicht? und keiner sonst ist Gott außer mir; einen wahrhaftigen und hilfreichen Gott giebt es nicht außer mir!
Tell ye, and come, and consult together: who hath declared this from the beginning, who hath foretold this from that time? Have not I the Lord, and there is no God else besides me? A just God and a saviour, there is none besides me.
22 Wendet euch zu mir und laßt euch erretten, all' ihr Enden der Erde; denn ich bin Gott, und keiner sonst!
Be converted to me, and you shall be saved, all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is no other.
23 Bei mir selbst habe ich geschworen - Wahrhaftiges ist aus meinem Munde hervorgegangen, ein Wort, das nicht rückgängig werden soll -: Mir soll sich beugen jedes Knie, mir soll schwören jede Zunge!
I have sworn by myself, the word of justice shall go out of my mouth, and shall not return: For every knee shall be bowed to me, and every tongue shall swear.
24 Nur bei Jahwe - soll man sprechen - giebt es Heilserweisungen und Kraft: zu ihm werden kommen und schämen werden sich müssen alle, die wider ihn entbrannt sind;
Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire: they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded.
25 in Jahwe werden gerechtfertigt und seiner werden sich zu rühmen haben alle Nachkommen Israels.
In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified and praised.
