Jesaja 12

1 An jenem Tag aber wirst du sprechen: ich danke dir, Jahwe, daß sich, nachdem du mir gezürnt, dein Zorn gewandt, und du mich getröstet hast!

And in that day thou shall say, I will give thanks to thee, O Jehovah, for though thou were angry with me. Thine anger is turned away and thou comfort me.

2 Fürwahr, Gott ist mein Heil! Ich bin voller Zuversicht und fürchte mich nicht! Denn Jah, Jahwe ist meine Stärke und mein Lobgesang, und von ihm kam mir Heil.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid, for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation.

3 Und ihr werdet mit Frohlocken Wasser schöpfen aus Brunnen des Heils

Therefore with joy ye shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

4 und werdet an jenem Tage sprechen: Dankt Jahwe, ruft seinen Namen an! Macht unter den Völkern seine Thaten kund, verkündigt, daß sein Name erhaben ist!

And in that day ye shall say, Give thanks to Jehovah. Call upon his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Make mention that his name is exalted.

5 Singt Jahwe! denn er hat Hohes vollführt; das werde überall auf Erden kund!

Sing to Jehovah, for he has done excellent things. Let this be known in all the earth.

6 Jauchzt und jubelt, ihr Bewohner Zions! denn groß ist mitten unter euch der Heilige Israels!

Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion, for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.
