Hosea 3

1 Und Jahwe sprach zu mir: Gehe noch einmal ein Weib lieben, das einen anderen lieb hat und die Ehe gebrochen hat, gleichwie Jahwe die Israeliten lieb hat, obwohl sie sich anderen Göttern zuneigen und Traubenkuchen gern haben.

And the Lord said to me: Go yet again, and love a woman beloved of her friend, and an adulteress: as the Lord loveth the children of Israel, and they look to strange gods, and love the husks of the grapes.

2 Da erkaufte ich sie mir um 15 Sekel und einen Chomer und einen Letech Gerste

And I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a core of barley, and for half a core of barley.

3 und sprach zu ihr: Lange Zeit sollst du mir einsam dasitzen, ohne zu huren und ohne einem Manne zu teil zu werden; und auch ich will nicht zu dir kommen.

And I said to her: Thou shalt wait for me many days: thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt be no man’s, and I also will wait for thee.

4 Denn lange Zeit sollen die Israeliten einsam sitzen ohne Könige und ohne Obrigkeit und ohne Opfer und ohne Malsstein und ohne Ephod und Teraphim.

For the children of Israel shall sit many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without altar, and without ephod, and without theraphim.

5 Darnach werden die Israeliten umkehren und Jahwe, ihren Gott, und David, ihren König, suchen und werden in der alsdann folgenden Zeit voll Furcht zu Jahwe und zu seinem Segen eilen!

And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king: and they shall fear the Lord, and his goodness in the last days.
