1 Mose 25
1 Abraham aber nahm nochmals ein Weib, Namens Ketura,
And he repeated Abraham and he took a wife and name her [was] Keturah.
2 die gebar ihm Simran, Joksan, Medan, Midian, Jisbak und Suah.
And she bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
3 Joksan aber erzeugte Saba und Dedan; und die Söhne Dedans waren die Assuriter, die Letusiter und die Leummiter.
And Jokshan he fathered Sheba and Dedan and [the] sons of Dedan they were Asshurites and Letushites and Leummites.
4 Und die Söhne Midians waren Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida und Eldaa; diese alle stammen von Ketura.
And [the] sons of Midian [were] Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah all these [were] [the] sons of Keturah.
5 Abraham aber übergab alle seine Habe dem Isaak.
And he gave Abraham all that [belonged] to him to Isaac.
6 Aber den Söhnen der Kebsweiber, die Abraham hatte, gab Abraham Geschenke und ließ sie noch bei seinen Lebzeiten von seinem Sohne Isaak hinweg östlich, in das Ostland ziehen.
And to [the] sons of the concubines who [belonged] to Abraham he gave Abraham gifts and he sent away them from with Isaac son his while still [was] he alive east-ward to [the] land of [the] east.
7 Das aber ist die Dauer der Lebensjahre Abrahams, die er durchlebt hat: 175 Jahre.
And these [are] [the] days of [the] years of [the] life of Abraham which he lived one hundred year[s] and seventy year[s] and five years.
8 Und Abraham verschied und starb in schönem Alter, alt und lebenssatt, und wurde versammelt zu seinen Stammesgenossen.
And he expired and he died Abraham in old age good old and satisfied and he was gathered to kinspeople his.
9 Und es begruben ihn seine Söhne Isaak und Ismael in der Höhle Machpela, auf dem Grundstück des Hethiters Ephron, des Sohnes Zohars, welches Mamre gegenüberliegt,
And they buried him Isaac and Ishmael sons his into [the] cave of Machpelah to [the] field of Ephron [the] son of Zohar the Hittite which [is] on [the] face of Mamre.
10 auf dem Grundstück, welches Abraham von den Hethitern gekauft hatte: dort wurden Abraham und sein Weib Sara begraben.
The field which he had acquired Abraham from with [the] sons of Heth there he was buried Abraham and Sarah wife his.
11 Nach dem Tode Abrahams aber segnete Gott seinen Sohn Isaak; Isaak aber wohnte bei dem “Brunnen des Lebendigen, der mich schaut”.
And it was after [the] death of Abraham and he blessed God Isaac son his and he dwelt Isaac near Beer Lahai Roi.
12 Dies ist die Geschichte Ismaels, des Sohnes Abrahams, den die Ägypterin Hagar, die Leibmagd Saras, dem Abraham geboren hat.
And these [are] [the] accounts of Ishmael [the] son of Abraham whom she bore Hagar the Egyptian [the] maidservant of Sarah to Abraham.
13 Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Ismaels nach ihren Namen, nach ihrem Stammbaum: der Erstgeborene Ismaels Nebajoth; Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
And these [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Ishmael by names their to descendants their [the] firstborn of Ishmael [was] Nebaioth and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam.
14 Misma, Duma, Massa,
And Mishma and Dumah and Massa.
15 Hadad, Thema, Jetur, Naphis und Kedma.
(Hadad *LA(BH)*) and Tema Jetur Naphish and Kedemah.
16 Das sind die Söhne Ismaels, und dies ihre Namen nach ihren Gehöften und Zeltlagern, zwölf Fürsten nach ihren Stammverbänden.
These they [were] [the] sons of Ishmael and these [are] names their by villages their and by encampments their two [plus] ten princes to tribes their.
17 Und dies war die Lebensdauer Ismaels: 137 Jahre. Und er verschied und starb und wurde versammelt zu seinen Stammesgenossen.
And these [are] [the] years of [the] life of Ishmael one hundred year[s] and thirty year[s] and seven years and he expired and he died and he was gathered to kinspeople his.
18 Und sie wohnten von Havila an bis nach Sur, welches östlich von Ägypten liegt, bis nach Assur hin; allen seinen Verwandten setzte er sich auf den Nacken.
And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur which [is] on [the] face of Egypt going you Asshur towards on [the] face of all relatives his he fell.
19 Das ist die Geschichte Isaaks, des Sohnes Abrahams: Abraham erzeugte den Isaak.
And these [are] [the] accounts of Isaac [the] son of Abraham Abraham he fathered Isaac.
20 Isaak aber war vierzig Jahre alt, als er sich Rebeka, die Tochter des Aramäers Bethuel aus Mesopotamien, die Schwester des Aramäers Laban, zum Weibe nahm.
And he was Isaac a son of forty year[s] when took he Rebekah [the] daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram [the] sister of Laban the Aramean for himself to a wife.
21 Isaak aber bat Jahwe für sein Weib, denn sie war unfruchtbar. Da ließ sich Jahwe von ihm erbitten, und sein Weib Rebeka wurde schwanger.
And he prayed Isaac to Yahweh to before wife his for [was] barren she and he was entreated by him Yahweh and she conceived Rebekah wife his.
22 Es stießen sich aber die Kinder in ihrem Leibe; da sprach sie: Wenn es so steht, warum lebe ich dann? Und sie ging hin, Jahwe zu befragen.
And they struggled together the children in inward part[s] her and she said if thus why? this [am] I and she went to consult Yahweh.
23 Jahwe aber sprach zu ihr: Zwei Völker sind in deinem Leibe, und zwei Stämme werden aus deinem Schoße hervorgehen, sich zu befehden. Ein Stamm wird dem andern überlegen sein, und der ältere wird dem jüngeren dienstbar werden.
And he said Yahweh to her two (nations *Q(k)*) [are] in womb your and two peoples from inward parts your they will separate and a people more than a people it will be strong and [the] great [one] it will serve [the] young [one].
24 Als nun ihre Zeit da war, daß sie gebären sollte, da fand sich, daß Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe waren.
And they were completed days her to give birth and there! twins [were] in womb her.
25 Da kam der erste heraus, rötlich, ganz und gar wie ein haariger Mantel; darum nannten sie ihn Esau.
And he came out the first red all of him [was] like a cloak of hair and they called name his Esau.
26 Darnach kam sein Bruder heraus, der hielt mit seiner Hand die Ferse Esaus; darum nannte man ihn Jakob. Isaak aber war sechzig Jahre alt, als sie geboren wurden.
And after thus he came out brother his and hand his [was] holding on [the] heel of Esau and he called name his Jacob and Isaac [was] a son of sixty year[s] when fathered them.
27 Als nun die Knaben heranwuchsen, wurde Esau ein tüchtiger Jäger, ein Mann der Steppe; Jakob dagegen war ein sanfter Mann, der bei den Zelten blieb.
And they grew up the lads and he was Esau a man [who] knew hunting a man of [the] open country and Jacob [was] a man quiet [who] dwelt tents.
28 Isaak aber liebte den Esau, denn Wildbret war nach seinem Geschmack; Rebeka dagegen liebte mehr den Jakob.
And he loved Isaac Esau for wild game [was] in mouth his and Rebekah [was] loving Jacob.
29 Einst kochte Jakob ein Gericht; da kam Esau ganz verschmachtet aus der Steppe.
And he had cooked Jacob cooked food and he came Esau from the field and he [was] exhausted.
30 Und Esau sprach zu Jakob: Laß mich schnell essen von dem roten, dem roten da! denn ich bin ganz verschmachtet. Deshalb nannte man ihn Edom.
And he said Esau to Jacob let swallow me please some of the red [stew] the red [stew] this for [am] exhausted I there-fore someone called name his Edom.
31 Jakob aber sprach: Verkaufe mir zuvor dein Erstgeburtsrecht!
And he said Jacob sell! as the day birthright your to me.
32 Da sprach Esau: Ach, ich muß schließlich doch sterben; was soll mir da das Erstgeburtsrecht!
And he said Esau here! I [am] going to die and for what? this to me [is] a birthright.
33 Jakob sprach: Schwöre es mir zuvor zu! Da schwur er ihm und verkaufte so an Jakob sein Erstgeburtsrecht.
And he said Jacob swear! to me as the day and he swore to him and he sold birthright his to Jacob.
34 Jakob aber gab dem Esau Brot und ein Gericht Linsen. Da aß er und trank, stand auf und ging davon; so verscherzte Esau leichtfertig sein Erstgeburtsrecht.
And Jacob he gave to Esau bread and cooked food of lentils and he ate and he drank and he arose and he went and he despised Esau the birthright.
