1 Mose 22
1 Nach diesen Begebenheiten versuchte Gott Abraham und sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich!
After these dedes God dyd proue Abraham and sayde vnto him: Abraham. And he answered: here am I.
2 Da sprach er: Nimm deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, den du lieb hast, Isaak, ziehe hin in das Land Morija und bringe ihn dort als Brandopfer dar auf einem der Berge, den ich dir sagen werde.
And he sayde: take thy only sonne Isaac whome thou louest and get the vnto the lande of Moria and sacrifyce him there for a sacrifyce vpon one of the mountayns which I will shewe the
3 Da gürtete Abraham am andern Morgen früh seinen Esel, nahm seine beiden Diener mit sich samt seinem Sohne Isaak, spaltete Holz zum Brandopfer, brach auf und zog nach der Stätte, von der ihm Gott gesagt hatte.
Than Abraham rose vp early in the mornynge and sadled his asse and toke two of his meyny wyth him and Isaac his sonne: ad clove wod for the sacrifyce and rose vp and gott him to the place which God had appoynted him.
4 Am dritten Tage aber hob Abraham seine Augen auf und erblickte die Stätte von weitem.
The thirde daye Abraham lyfte vp his eyes and sawe the place a farr of
5 Da sprach Abraham zu seinen Dienern: Bleibt hier mit dem Esel; ich aber und der Knabe wollen dorthin gehen und anbeten und dann wieder zu euch kommen.
and sayde vnto his yong men: byde here with the asse. I and the lad will goo yonder and worshippe and come agayne vnto you.
6 Hierauf nahm Abraham das Holz zum Brandopfer und legte es auf seinen Sohn Isaak, nahm in seine Hand das Feuer und das Schlachtmesser, und so gingen die beiden miteinander.
And Abraham toke the wodd of the sacrifyce and layde it vpon Isaac his sonne and toke fyre in his hande and a knyfe. And they went both of them together.
7 Da sprach Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham und sagte: Mein Vater! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich, mein Sohn! Da sagte er: Das Feuer und das Holz ist da; wo aber ist das Schaf zum Brandopfer?
Than spake Isaac vnto Abraham his father and sayde: My father? And he answered here am I my sonne. And he sayde: Se here is fyre and wodd but where is the shepe for sacrifyce?
8 Abraham antwortete: Mein Sohn, Gott wird schon für ein Schaf zum Brandopfer sorgen! So gingen die beiden miteinander.
And Abraham sayde: my sonne God wyll prouyde him a shepe for sacrifyce. So went they both together.
9 Als sie nun an die Stätte gelangt waren, von der ihm Gott gesagt hatte, da errichtete Abraham den Altar und legte die Holzscheite zurecht; alsdann band er seinen Sohn Isaak und legte ihn auf den Altar oben über die Scheite.
And when they came vnto the place which God shewed him Abraha made an aulter there and dressed the wodd ad bownde Isaac his sonne and layde him on the aulter aboue apon the wodd.
10 Sodann reckte Abraham seine Hand aus und ergriff das Messer, um seinen Sohn zu schlachten.
And Abraham stretched forth his hande and toke the knyfe to haue kylled his sonne.
11 Da rief ihm der Engel Jahwes vom Himmel her zu und sprach: Abraham! Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich!
Than the angell of the LORde called vnto him from heauen saynge: Abraham Abraham. And he answered: here am I.
12 Da sprach er: lege nicht Hand an den Knaben und thue ihm nichts zu leide! Denn nun weiß ich, daß du Gott fürchtest, da du mir deinen einzigen Sohn nicht verweigert hast.
And he sayde: laye not thy handes apon the childe nether do any thinge at all vnto him for now I knowe that thou fearest God in yt thou hast not kepte thine only sonne fro me.
13 Da hob Abraham seine Augen auf und gewahrte einen Widder, der sich mit seinen Hörnern im Dickicht verfangen hatte; da ging Abraham hin, holte den Widder und brachte ihn als Brandopfer dar an Stelle seines Sohnes.
And Abraham lyfted vp his eyes and loked aboute: and beholde there was a ram caught by the hornes in a thykette. And he went and toke the ram and offred him vp for a sacrifyce in the steade of his sonne
14 Und Abraham nannte die Stätte: Jahwe sieht! Daher man noch heutiges Tages sagt: auf dem Berge, wo Jahwe erscheint.
And Abraham called the name of the place the LORde will see: wherfore it is a come saynge this daye: in the mounte will the LORde be sene.
15 Der Engel Jahwes aber rief dem Abraham ein zweites Mal vom Himmel her zu
And the Angell of the LORde cryed vnto Abraham from heaven the seconde tyme
16 und sprach: Ich schwöre bei mir selbst, ist der Spruch Jahwes: dafür, daß du das gethan und mir deinen einzigen Sohn nicht verweigert hast,
saynge: by my selfe haue I sworne (sayth the LORde) because thou hast done this thinge and hast not spared thy only sonne
17 will ich dich reichlich segnen und deine Nachkommen so überaus zahlreich werden lassen, wie die Sterne am Himmel und wie der Sand am Ufer des Meeres, und deine Nachkommen sollen die Thore ihrer Feinde besitzen,
that I will blesse th and multiplye thy seed as the starres of heaven and as the sonde vpo the seesyde. And thy seed shall possesse the gates of hys enymies.
18 und durch deine Nachkommen sollen alle Völker der Erde gesegnet werden, zum Lohne dafür, daß du meinem Befehle gehorcht hast!
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because thou hast obeyed my voyce.
19 Hierauf kehrte Abraham wieder zu seinen Dienern zurück, und sie brachen auf und zogen miteinander nach Beerseba, und Abraham blieb in Beerseba wohnen.
So turned Abraham agayne vnto his yonge men and they rose vp and wet to gether to Berseba. And Abraham dwelt at Berseba
20 Nach diesen Begebenheiten wurde dem Abraham berichtet: Auch Milka hat deinem Bruder Nahor Söhne geboren,
And it chaused after these thiges that one tolde Abraham saynge: Beholde Milcha she hath also borne childern vnto thy brother Nachor:
21 nämlich Uz, seinen Erstgebornen, und dessen Bruder Bus und Kemuel, von dem die Aramäer stammen,
Hus his eldest sonne and Bus his brother and Lemuell the father of the Sinans
22 und Chesed, Haso, Pildas, Jidlaph und Bethuel;
and Cesed and Haso and Pildas and Iedlaph and Bethuel.
23 Bethuel aber erzeugte Rebeka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, dem Bruder Abrahams.
And Bethuel begat Rebecca. These. viij. dyd Milcha bere to Nachor Abrahams brother
24 Er hatte aber auch ein Kebsweib mit Namen Reuma; auch diese gebar: nämlich den Tebah, Gaham, Tahas und Maacha.
And his concubyne called Rheuma she bare also Tebah Gaham Thahas and Maacha.
