Hesekiel 4
1 Du aber, Menschensohn, hole dir einen Ziegelstein, lege ihn vor dich hin und ritze darauf eine Stadt ein, nämlich Jerusalem.
'And thou, son of man, take to thee a brick, and thou hast put it before thee, and hast graven on it a city — Jerusalem,
2 Und errichte einen Belagerungswall wider sie und baue einen Belagerungsturm wider sie; schütte einen Damm wider sie auf, stelle Belagerungsheere wider sie auf und setze ringsum Sturmböcke wider sie an.
and hast placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set thou against it battering-rams round about.
3 Und hole dir eine eiserne Pfanne und stelle sie als eiserne Wand zwischen dich und die Stadt und richte dein Angesicht gegen diese, daß sie der Belagerung unterworfen sei, und du sie belagerest. Ein Zeichen sei dies für das Haus Israel!
And thou, take to thee an iron pan, and thou hast made it a wall of iron between thee and the city; and thou hast prepared thy face against it, and it hath been in a siege, yea, thou hast laid siege against it. A sign it [is] to the house of Israel.
4 Du aber lege dich auf deine Seite und nimm die Verschuldung des Hauses Israel auf dich; die Zahl der Tage, die du auf ihr liegst, sollst du ihre Verschuldung tragen.
'And thou, lie on thy left side, and thou hast placed the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; the number of the days that thou liest on it, thou bearest their iniquity.
5 Und ich wandle dir die Jahre ihrer Verschuldung in eine entsprechende Zahl von Tagen - 390 Tage -, und so sollst du die Verschuldung des Hauses Israel tragen.
And I — I have laid on thee the years of their iniquity, the number of days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou hast borne the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 Und wenn du mit ihnen zu Ende bist, so lege dich zum zweiten Mal auf deine rechte Seite und trage die Verschuldung des Hauses Juda, 40 Tage lang: für jedes Jahr einen Tag ansetzend berechne ich sie dir.
And thou hast completed these, and hast lain on thy right side, a second time, and hast borne the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days — a day for a year — a day for a year I have appointed to thee.
7 Und du sollst dein Angesicht und deinen entblößten Arm gegen die Belagerung Jerusalems hinrichten und gegen es weissagen.
'And unto the siege of Jerusalem thou dost prepare thy face, and thine arm [is] uncovered, and thou hast prophesied concerning it.
8 Und zwar werde ich dir Stricke anlegen, daß du dich nicht von einer Seite auf die andere umwenden kannst, bis du mit den Tagen deiner Einschließung zu Ende bist.
And lo, I have put on thee thick bands, and thou dost not turn from side to side till thy completing the days of thy siege.
9 Du aber hole dir Weizen und Gerste und Bohnen und Linsen und Hirse und Spelt, thue sie in ein Gefäß und bereite dir Brot daraus; die ganze Zeit hindurch, während welcher du auf deiner Seite liegst, sollst du das essen.
'And thou, take to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and thou hast put them in one vessel, and made them to thee for bread; the number of the days that thou art lying on thy side — three hundred and ninety days — thou dost eat it.
10 Und zwar sollst du deine Speise abgewogen verzehren, täglich zwanzig Sekel; von Zeit zu Zeit sollst du davon zehren.
And thy food that thou dost eat [is] by weight, twenty shekels daily; from time to time thou dost eat it.
11 Und Wasser sollst du abgemessen trinken, jedesmal ein Sechstel Hin; von Zeit zu Zeit sollst du welches trinken.
'And water by measure thou dost drink, a sixth part of the hin; from time to time thou dost drink [it].
12 Und zwar sollst du es in Gestalt von Gerstenkuchen verzehren; diese aber sollst du vor ihren Augen auf Ballen von Menschenkot backen.
A barley-cake thou dost eat it, and it with dung — the filth of man — thou dost bake before their eyes.
13 Und Jahwe sprach: Ebenso werden die Israeliten ihr Brot unrein verzehren unter den Völkern, unter die ich sie verstoßen werde.
And Jehovah saith, 'Thus do the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations whither I drive them.'
14 Da sprach ich: Ach Herr Jahwe! Fürwahr, ich bin noch nie verunreinigt gewesen und Gefallenes oder von Raubtieren Zerrissenes habe ich nie gegessen von Jugend auf bis jetzt, und nie kam in meinen Mund verdorbenes Fleisch!
And I say, 'Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, my soul is not defiled, and carcase, and torn thing, I have not eaten from my youth, even till now; nor come into my mouth hath abominable flesh.'
15 Da sprach er zu mir: Wohlan, ich gestatte dir Rindermist statt Menschenkotes, daß du darauf dein Brot bereitest.
And He saith unto me, 'See, I have given to thee bullock's dung instead of man's dung, and thou hast made thy bread by it.'
16 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, fürwahr, ich will den Stab des Brots in Jerusalem zerbrechen, und sie sollen ihr Brot abgewogen und mit Angst essen und das Wasser abgemessen und mit Entsetzen trinken,
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, lo, I am breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they have eaten bread by weight and with fear; and water by measure and with astonishment, they do drink;
17 damit sie an Brot und Wasser Mangel leiden, und sich einer mit dem andern entsetzen und infolge ihrer Verschuldung dahinschwinden.
so that they lack bread and water, and have been astonished one with another, and been consumed in their iniquity.
