Hesekiel 3
1 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, iß diese Rolle und geh dann hin und rede zum Hause Israel!
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, that which thou findest eat, eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.'
2 Da öffnete ich meinen Mund, und er gab mir die Rolle zu essen
And I open my mouth, and He causeth me to eat this roll.
3 und sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, deinen Bauch sollst du sie verzehren lassen und dein Inneres sollst du mit dieser Rolle füllen, die ich dir übergebe. Und ich aß, und sie ward in meinem Munde so süß wie Honig.
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, thy belly thou dost feed, and thy bowels thou dost fill with this roll that I am giving unto thee;' and I eat it, and it is in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
4 Da sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn, auf! begieb dich zum Hause Israel und rede mit meinen Worten zu ihnen.
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, go, enter in unto the house of Israel, and thou hast spoken with My words unto them.
5 Denn nicht als zu einem Volke von dunkler Rede bist du gesandt zum Hause Israel,
For, not unto a people deep of lip and heavy of tongue [art] thou sent — unto the house of Israel;
6 nicht zu vielen Völkern, deren Worte du nicht verstehst, sondern zu ihnen habe ich dich gesandt. Sie können dich verstehen!
not unto many peoples, deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words thou dost not understand. If I had not sent thee unto them — they, they do hearken unto thee,
7 Aber das Haus Israel wird nicht auf dich hören wollen, denn sie wollen nicht auf mich hören; denn das ganze Haus Israel ist von harter Stirn und starrem Sinne.
but the house of Israel are not willing to hearken unto thee, for they are not willing to hearken unto Me, for all the house of Israel are brazen-faced and strong-hearted.
8 Fürwahr, ich will dein Angesicht hart machen gleichwie ihr Angesicht und deine Stirn hart wie ihre Stirn:
'Lo, I have made thy face strong against their face, and thy forehead strong against their forehead.
9 wie Diamant, härter als Felsen, mache ich deine Stirn. Fürchte sie nicht und erschrick nicht vor ihnen, denn sie sind ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit!
As an adamant harder than a rock I have made thy forehead; thou dost not fear them, nor art thou affrighted before them, for a rebellious house [are] they.'
10 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, alle meine Worte, die ich zu dir reden werde, nimm dir zu Herzen und höre sie mit deinen Ohren.
And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, all My words, that I speak unto thee, receive with thy heart, and with thine ears hear;
11 Und mache dich auf, begieb dich zu den Verbannten, zu deinen Volksgenossen, und rede zu ihnen und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe -! mögen sie es nun hören oder es lassen!
and go, enter in unto the Removed, unto the sons of thy people, and thou hast spoken unto them, and hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: whether they hear, or whether they forbear.'
12 Und der Geist Jahwes hob mich empor, und ich vernahm hinter mir das Getöse eines starken Erdbebens, als sich die Herrlichkeit Jahwes von ihrer Stelle erhob,
And lift me up doth a spirit, and I hear behind me a noise, a great rushing — 'Blessed [is] the honour of Jehovah from His place!' —
13 und das Getöse der Flügel der Tiere, die einander berührten, und das Getöse der Räder zugleich mit ihnen und das Getöse eines starken Erdbebens.
even a noise of the wings of the living creatures touching one another, and a noise of the wheels over-against them, even a noise of a great rushing.
14 Und der Geist hob mich empor und führte mich fort, und ich ging traurig in der Erregung meines Geistes dahin, indem die Hand Jahwes auf mir lastete.
And a spirit hath lifted me up, and doth take me away, and I go bitterly, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of Jehovah on me [is] strong.
15 Und so gelangte ich zu den Verbannten nach Tel Abib an den Fluß Kebar, wo sie wohnten; und ich saß daselbst sieben Tage vor mich hin starrend unter ihnen.
And I come in unto the Removed, at Tel-Ahib, who are dwelling at the river Chebar, and where they are dwelling I also dwell seven days, causing astonishment in their midst.
16 Und nach sieben Tagen erging das Wort Jahwes an mich also:
And it cometh to pass, at the end of seven days,
17 Menschensohn, zum Wächter habe ich dich bestellt für das Haus Israel; wenn du aus meinem Mund ein Wort vernehmen wirst, so sollst du sie von meinetwegen verwarnen.
that there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, 'Son of man, a watchman I have given thee to the house of Israel, and thou hast heard from My mouth a word, and hast warned them from Me.
18 Wenn ich zum Gottlosen sage: du mußt sterben! und du verwarnst ihn nicht und sagst nichts, um den Gottlosen vor seinem gottlosen Wege zu warnen, um ihm das Leben zu retten, so wird er, der Gottlose, infolge seiner Verschuldung sterben, sein Blut jedoch werde ich von deiner Hand verlangen.
In My saying to the wicked: Thou dost surely die; and thou hast not warned him, nor hast spoken to warn the wicked from his wicked way, so that he doth live; he — the wicked — in his iniquity dieth, and his blood from thy hand I require.
19 Wenn du aber deinerseits den Gottlosen verwarnt hast, und er läßt nicht ab von seinem Frevel und seinem gottlosen Wege, so wird er zwar infolge seiner Verschuldung sterben, aber du hast deine Seele gerettet.
And thou, because thou hast warned the wicked, and he hath not turned back from his wickedness, and from his wicked way, he in his iniquity dieth, and thou thy soul hast delivered.
20 Und wenn ein Frommer von seiner Frömmigkeit läßt und Unrecht thut, und ich bereite ihm dann einen Anstoß, daß er stirbt: wenn du ihn da nicht verwarnt hast, so wird er infolge seiner Sünde sterben, und die frommen Thaten, die er gethan, sollen ihm nicht in Anrechnung gebracht werden; aber sein Blut werde ich von deiner Hand verlangen!
'And in the turning back of the righteous from his righteousness, and he hath done perversity, and I have put a stumbling-block before him, he dieth; because thou hast not warned him, in his sin he dieth, and not remembered is his righteousness that he hath done, and his blood from thy hand I require.
21 Wenn du aber deinerseits den Frommen verwarnt hast, sich nicht zu vergehen, und er, der Fromme, sich nicht vergeht, so wird er leben bleiben, weil er verwarnt war, und du hast deine Seele gerettet.
And thou, because thou hast warned him — the righteous — that the righteous sin not, and he hath not sinned, he surely liveth, because he hath been warned; and thou thy soul hast delivered.'
22 Und es kam daselbst die Hand Jahwes über mich, und er sprach zu mir: Auf, geh hinaus in die Thalebene, und ich will dort mit dir reden.
And there is on me there a hand of Jehovah, and He saith to me, 'Rise, go forth to the valley, and there I do speak with thee.'
23 Da machte ich mich auf und ging hinaus in die Thalebene, und fürwahr, dort stand die Herrlichkeit Jahwes wie die Herrlichkeit, die ich am Flusse Kebar geschaut hatte; da fiel ich auf mein Angesicht.
And I rise and go forth unto the valley, and lo, there the honour of Jehovah is standing as the honour that I had seen by the river Chebar, and I fall on my face.
24 Und es kam Geist in mich, der stellte mich auf meine Füße; und er redete mit mir und sprach zu mir: geh hinein, schließe dich in deinem Hause ein!
And come into me doth a spirit, and causeth me to stand on my feet, and He speaketh with me, and saith unto me, 'Go in, be shut up in the midst of thy house.
25 Und fürwahr, o Menschensohn, man wird dir Stricke anlegen und dich damit binden, daß du nicht unter ihnen aus und ein gehest.
'And thou, son of man, lo, they have put on thee thick bands, and have bound thee with them, and thou goest not forth in their midst;
26 Und ich werde deine Zunge an deinen Gaumen kleben lassen, daß du verstummest und ihnen nicht zum Strafprediger werdest, denn sie sind ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit.
and thy tongue I cause to cleave unto thy palate, and thou hast been dumb, and art not to them for a reprover, for a rebellious house [are] they.
27 Wenn ich aber mit dir rede, will ich deinen Mund aufthun, und du sollst zu ihnen sprechen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe! Wer hören will, der höre, und wer es lassen will, der lasse es; denn sie sind ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit.
And in My speaking with thee, I do open thy mouth, and thou hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah; the hearer doth hear, and the forbearer doth forbear; for a rebellious house [are] they.
