2 Mose 23
1 Du sollst kein falsches Gerücht aussprengen. Biete dem, der eine ungerechte Sache hat, nicht die Hand, für ihn Zeugnis abzulgen und so das Recht zu verdrehen.
Thou schalt not resseyue a vois of leesyng, nether thou schalt ioyne thin hond, that thou seie fals witnessyng for a wickid man.
2 Du sollst nicht dem großen Haufen folgen, um Böses zu thun. Bei einer Rechtssache sollst du nicht, der Mehrheit dich anschließend, Aussagen machen und so das Recht beugen.
Thou schalt not sue the cumpanye to do yuel, nether thou schalt ascente to the sentence of ful many men in doom, that thou go awey fro treuthe.
3 Du sollst nicht die Partei des Angesehenen ergreifen, wenn er eine Rechtssache hat.
Also thou schalt not haue mercy of a pore man in a `cause, ethir doom.
4 Wenn du einen deinem Feinde gehörenden Ochsen oder Esel findest, der sich verirrt hat, so sollst du ihm denselben zurückbringen.
If thou meetist `the oxe of thin enemye, ethir the asse errynge, lede thou ayen to hym.
5 Wenn du siehst, daß der Esel deines Feindes unter seiner Last zusammengebrochen ist, so gehe nicht etwa an ihm vorüber, sondern hilf ihm, den Esel zu befreien.
If thou seest that the asse of hym that hatith thee liggyth vndir a burthun, thou schalt not passe, but thou schalt reise with hym.
6 Du sollst das Recht des Armen, der unter euch ist, nicht beugen, wenn er eine Streitsache hat.
Thou schalt not bowe in the doom of a pore man.
7 halte dich fern von einer Sache, bei der Lüge im Spiel ist, und hilf nicht einen Unschuldigen oder der eine gerechte Sache hat, verurteilen; denn ich spreche keinen frei, der schuldig ist.
Thou schalt fle a lesyng. Thou schalt not sle an innocent man, and iust; for Y am aduersarie to a wickid man.
8 Und Geschenke nimm nicht an; denn Geschenke machen Sehende blind und verkehren die gerechte Sache.
Take thou not yiftis, that blynden also prudent men, and destryen the wordys of iust men.
9 Einen Fremdling sollst du nicht hart behandeln; ihr wißt ja, wie es dem Fremden zu Mute ist, weil ihr selbst Fremdlinge gewesen seid in Ägypten.
Thou schalt not be diseseful to a pilgrym, for ye knowen the soulis of comelyngis, for also ye weren pilgryms in the lond of Egipt.
10 Sechs Jahre hindurch sollst du dein Land bebauen und seinen Ertrag einheimsen;
Sixe yeer thou schalt sowe thi lond, and thou schalt gadre fruytis therof;
11 im siebenten Jahre aber sollst du es brach liegen lassen und frei geben, so daß die Bedürftigen deines Volks ihre Nahrung holen können, und was sie übrig lassen, mögen die wilden Tiere fressen; ebenso sollst du verfahren mit deinem Weinberg und deinem Ölgarten.
forsothe in the seuenthe yeer thou schalt leeue it, and schalt make to reste, that the pore men of thi puple ete, and what euer is residue, the beestis of the feeld ete; so thou schalt do in thi vyner, and in place of olyue trees.
12 Sechs Tage hindurch magst du deine Arbeit verrichten; am siebenten Tag aber sollst du feiern, damit dein Rind und dein Esel ruhe, und der Sohn deiner Sklavin, sowie der Fremdling einmal aufatme.
Sixe dayes thou schalt worche, in the seuenthe dai thou schalt ceesse, that thin oxe and asse reste, and the sone of thin handmaide, and the comelyng be refreischid.
13 Und in Bezug auf alles, was ich euch befohlen habe, nehmt euch wohl in acht! Den Namen anderer Götter erwähnet nicht; er soll dir nicht über die Lippen kommen!
Kepe ye alle thingis, whiche Y seide to you; and ye schulen not swere bi the name of alien goddis, nether it schal be herd of youre mouth.
14 Dreimal im Jahre sollst du mir eine Festfeier abhalten.
In thre tymes bi alle yeeris ye schulen halewe feestis to me.
15 Das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sollst du halten: sieben Tage lang sollst du ungesäuerte Brote essen, wie ich es dir befohlen habe, zur Zeit des Monats Abib; denn in ihm bist du aus Ägypten ausgezogen. Vor mir soll man nicht mit leeren Händen erscheinen.
Thou schalt kepe the solempnyte of therf looues; seuene daies thou schalt ete therf breed, as Y comaundide to thee, in the tyme of monethe of newe thingis, whanne thou yedist out of Egipt; thou schalt not appere voide in my siyt.
16 Und das Fest der Kornernte, der Erstlinge deines Landbaus, den du betreibst, und das Fest der Herbstlese um die Wende des Jahres, wenn du die Bodenerzeugnisse einheimsest.
And thou schalt kepe the solempnete of the monethe of the firste thingis of thi werk, what euer thingis thou hast sowe in the feeld. Also thou schalt kepe the solempnyte in the goyng out of the yeer, whanne thou hast gaderid all thi fruytis of the feeld.
17 Dreimal im Jahre soll alles, was männlich ist, vor dem Herrn, Jahwe, erscheinen.
Thries in the yeer al thi male kynde schal appere bifore thi Lord God.
18 Du sollst mir nicht zu gesäuerten Broten das Blut meines Opfers darbringen, und das Fett meines Festopfers soll nicht bis zum folgenden Tag aufbewahrt werrden.
Thou schalt not offre the blood of thi slayn sacrifice on sour douy; nether the fatnesse of my solempnete schal dwelle til to the morewtid.
19 Das Vorzüglichste, die Erstlinge deines Ackerbodens, sollst du zum Hause Jahwes, deines Gottes, bringen. Du sollst ein Böckchen nicht in der Milch seiner Mutter kochen.
Thou schalt bere the firste thingis of the fruytis of thi lond in to the hows of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not sethe a kide in the mylke of his modir.
20 Ich aber will einen Engel vor dir einhergehen lassen um dich unterwegs in meine Hut zu nehmen und dich an die Stätte zu bringen, die ich festgesetzt habe.
Lo! Y schal sende myn aungel, that schal go bifore thee, and schal kepe in the weie, and schal lede to the place which Y haue maad redi to thee.
21 Nimm dich vor ihm in acht und gehorche ihm; sei nicht widerspenstig gegen ihn. Denn er wird euch eure Übertretung nicht verzeihen, denn er ist eine Offenbarung meines Wesens!
Take thou hede to hym, and here thou his vois, nether gesse thou hym to be dispisid; for he schal not foryyue, whanne thou synnest, and my name is in him.
22 Wenn du aber seinen Worten gehorchen und alles thun willst, was ich befehle, so will ich befeinden, die dir feind sind, und bedrängen, die dich bedrängen.
For if thou herest his vois, and doist alle thingis whiche Y speke, Y schal be enemy to thin enemyes, and Y schal turment hem, that turmenten thee;
23 Ja mein Engel soll vor dir einherziehen und dich zu den Amoritern, Hethitern, Pheresitern, Kanaanitern, Hevitern und Jebusitern führen, damit ich sie ausrotte.
and myn aungel schal go bifore thee, and he schal lede yn thee to Amorrei, and Ethei, and Ferezei, and Cananey, and Euey, and Jebusei, whiche Y schal breke.
24 Bete ihre Götter nicht an und diene ihnen nicht und ahme ihr Thun nicht nach, sondern zerstöre sie von Grund aus und zerschmettere ihre Malsteine.
Thou schalt not onoure `the goddis of hem, nether thou schalt worschipe hem; thou schalt not do the werkis of hem, but thou schalt destrie the goddis, and thou schalt breke the ymagis of hem.
25 Verehrt Jahwe, euren Gott, so wird er dir reichlich Speise und Trank gewähren, und Krankheiten will ich von dir fernhalten.
And ye schulen serue to youre Lord God, that Y blesse thi looues, and watris, and do awei sikenesse fro the myddis of thee;
26 Nichts Kinderloses noch Unfruchtbares wird es in deinem Lande geben, und ich werde dich am Leben erhalten bis ins volle Alter.
neithir a womman vnfruytful, neither bareyn, schal be in thi lond; Y schal fille the noumbre of thi daies.
27 Einen Gottes-Schrecken werde ich vor dir hersenden und alle die Völker, unter welche du kommen wirst, in Verwirrung bringen und will machen, daß alle deine Feinde vor dir die Flucht ergreifen.
Y schal sende my drede in to thi biforgoyng, and Y schal sle al the puple, to which thou schalt entre, and Y schal turne the backis of alle thin enemyes bifore thee;
28 Und ich werde Hornissen vor dir hersenden, damit sie die Heviter, die Kanaaniter und die Hethiter vor dir her vertreiben.
and Y schal sende out bifore scrabrouns, that schulen dryue awei Euey, and Cananey, and Ethei, bifore that thou entre.
29 Ich will sie aber nicht im Verlauf eines Jahres vor dir vertreiben, sonst würde das Land zur Wüste werden, und die wilden Tiere würden zu deinem Schaden überhandnehmen.
Y schal not caste hem out fro thi face in o yeer, lest the lond be turned in to wildirnesse, and beestis encreesse ayens thee;
30 Ganz allmählich will ich sie vor dir vertreiben, bis ihr zahlreich genug sein werdet, um euch in den Besitz des Landes zu setzen.
litil and litil I schal caste hem out fro thi siyt, til thou be encreessid, and welde the loond.
31 Und ich will dein Gebiet reichen lassen vom Schilfmeer bis zum Meer der Philister und von der Wüste bis zum Euphrat-Strom; ja ich werde die Landesbewohner in eure Gewalt gegeben, und du sollst sie vor dir austreiben.
Forsothe Y schal sette thi termys fro the reed see til to the see of Palestyns, and fro desert til to the flood. Y schal yyue to youre hondis the dwelleris of the lond, and Y schal caste hem out fro youre siyt;
32 Du darfst weder mit ihnen noch mit ihren Göttern ein Abkommen schließen.
thou schalt not make boond of pees with hem, nethir with `the goddis of hem.
33 Sie sollen nicht wohnen bleiben in deinem Lande, daß sie dich nicht zur Versündigung an mir verleiten; denn wenn du ihre Götter verehrst, so wird dir das zum Fallstrick werden.
Dwelle thei not in thi lond, lest perauenture thei make thee to do synne ayens me, yf thou seruest her goddis, which thing certis schal be to thee in to sclaundir.
