5 Mose 33
1 Dies ist der Segen, mit dem Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Israeliten vor seinem Tode gesegnet hat.
Nowe this is the blessing wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death, and said,
2 Er sprach: Jahwe kam vom Sinai her und glänzte ihnen auf von Seir. Er ließ sein Licht aufleuchten vom Gebirge Paran und kam nach Meribath Kades, zu seiner Rechten ein loderndes Feuer.
The Lord came from Sinai, and rose vp from Seir vnto them, and appeared clearely from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of Saints, and at his right hand a firie Lawe for them.
3 Und liebend hegte er sein Volk, alle seine Heiligen standen in deiner Hand, und sie folgten gehorsam deinem Fuße, vernahmen deine Sprüche.
Though hee loue the people, yet all thy Saints are in thine handes: and they are humbled at thy foete, to receiue thy words.
4 Ein Gesetz verordnete uns Mose, einen Erbbesitz für die Gemeinde Jakobs.
Moses commanded vs a Lawe for an inheritance of the Congregation of Iaakob.
5 Und es erstand Jeschurun ein König, als die Häupter des Volks sich versammelten, zusammentraten die Stämme Israels.
Then he was among the righteous people, as King, when the heades of the people, and the tribes of Israel were assembled.
6 Es lebe Ruben und sterbe nicht! es seien seiner Mannen nicht wenig!
Let Reuben liue, and not die, though his men be a small nomber.
7 Und dies ist der Segen über Juda. Er sprach: Erhöre, Jahwe, Judas Rufen und bringe ihn zurück zu seinem Volk! Mit deinen Händen streite für ihn und sei ihm Hilfe gegenüber seinen Bedrängern!
And thus he blessed Iudah, and said, Heare, O Lord, the voyce of Iudah, and bring him vnto his people: his hands shalbe sufficient for him, if thou helpe him against his enemies.
8 Über Levi sprach er: deine Tummim und Urim gehören den Leuten des dir Ergebenen, den du bei Massa versuchtest, mit dem du an den Wassern von Meriba gestritten,
And of Leui he said, Let thy Thummim and thine Vrim be with thine Holy one, whome thou diddest proue in Massah, and didst cause him to striue at the waters of Meribah.
9 dem, der von Vater und Mutter sprach: Ich kenne sie nicht, der seine Brüder nicht anerkannte und von seinen Kindern nichts wissen wollte. Denn sie hielten sich an dein Gebot und bewahrten dein Gesetz.
Who said vnto his father and to his mother, I haue not seene him, neither knewe he his brethren, nor knewe his owne children: for they obserued thy word, and kept thy couenant.
10 Sie lehren Jakob deine Rechte und Israel deine Weisung; sie bringen Opferduft in deine Nase und Ganzopfer auf deinen Altar.
They shall teach Iaakob thy iudgements, and Israel thy Lawe: they shall put incense before thy face, and the burnt offring vpon thine altar.
11 Segne, Jahwe, seinen Wohlstand und laß dir das Thun seiner Hände gefallen! Zerschmettere seinen Gegnern die Lenden und seinen Hassern, daß sie sich nicht mehr erheben!
Blesse, O Lord, his substance, and accept the worke of his handes: smite through ye loynes of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not againe.
12 Über Benjamin sprach er: Der Liebling Jahwes ist er; in Sicherheit wohnet er bei ihm. Er beschirmt ihn allezeit und hat Wohnung genommen zwischen seinen Bergrücken.
Of Beniamin he said, The beloued of the Lord shall dwell in safetie by him: the Lord shall couer him all the day long, and dwell betweene his shoulders.
13 Und über Joseph sprach er: Von Jahwe gesegnet ist sein Land mit der köstlichsten Himmelsgabe, dem Tau, und mit der Wasserflut, die drunten lagert,
And of Ioseph hee sayde, Blessed of the Lord is his land for the sweetenesse of heauen, for the dewe, and for the depth lying beneath,
14 mit dem Köstlichsten, was die Sonne hervorbringt, und dem Köstlichsten, was die Monde sprossen lassen,
And for the sweete increase of the sunne, and for the sweete increase of the moone,
15 mit dem Besten der uralten Berge und dem Köstlichsten der ewigen Hügel,
And for the sweetenes of the top of the ancient mountaines, and for the sweetenes of the olde hilles,
16 mit dem Köstlichsten der Erde und ihrer Fülle! Und das Wohlgefallen dessen, der im Dornbusch wohnt, komme auf das Haupt Josephs und auf den Scheitel des Gekrönten unter seinen Brüdern!
And for the sweetenesse of the earth, and abundance thereof: and the good will of him that dwelt in the bushe, shall come vpon the head of Ioseph, and vpon the toppe of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 Hoheit umgiebt seinen erstgebornen Stier, wie eines WiIdochsen sind seine Hörner. Mit ihnen stößt er Völker nieder, allzumal die Enden der Erde. Das sind die Zehntausende Ephraims und das die Tausende Manasses!
His beautie shalbe like his first borne bullock, and his hornes as the hornes of an vnicorne: with them hee shall smite the people together, euen the endes of the world: these are also the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.
18 Und über Sebulon sprach er: Freue dich, Sebulon, deiner Fahrten, und du, o Issachar, deiner Zelte!
And of Zebulun he sayd, Reioice, Zebulun, in thy going out, and thou Isshachar in thy tents.
19 VöIkerscharen laden sie ein auf den Berg, dort opfern sie rechte Opfer, denn den Überfluß des Meers saugen sie ein und die verborgensten Schätze des Sandes.
They shall call ye people vnto the mountaine: there they shall offer the sacrifices of righteousnesse: for they shall sucke of the abundance of the sea, and of the treasures hid in the sand.
20 Und über Gad sprach er: Gepriesen sei, der Gad weiten Raum schafft! Wie eine Löwin hat er sich gelagert und zerreißt Arm und Scheitel.
Also of Gad he said, Blessed be hee that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, that catcheth for his praye the arme with the head.
21 Er ersah sich das erste eroberte Land, denn dort lag der Anteil für einen Stammesführer bereit. Aber mit den Häuptern des Volks vollstreckte er Jahwes Gerechtigkeit und seine Gerichte gemeinsam mit Israel.
And hee looked to himselfe at the beginning, because there was a portion of the Lawe-giuer hid: yet hee shall come with the heades of the people, to execute the iustice of the Lord, and his iudgements with Israel.
22 Und über Dan sprach er: Ein Löwenjunges ist Dan, das aus Basan hervorspringt.
And of Dan he said, Dan is a lions whelp: he shall leape from Bashan.
23 Und über Naphthali sprach er: Naphthali! gesättigt mit Gaben der Huld und voll von den Segnungen Jahwes, Meer und Südland nimm in Besitz!
Also of Naphtali he sayd, O Naphtali, satisfied with fauour, and filled with the blessing of the Lord, possesse the West and the South.
24 Und über Asser sprach er: Der gesegnetste Sohn sei Asser! Er sei der Liebling seiner Brüder und tauche seinen Fuß in Öl!
And of Asher he saide, Asher shalbe blessed with children: he shalbe acceptable vnto his brethren, and shall dippe his foote in oyle.
25 Von Eisen und Erz seien deine Schlösser, und so lange du lebst, währe deine Kraft!
Thy shooes shalbe yron and brasse, and thy strength shall continue as long as thou liuest.
26 Es giebt keinen, wie den Gott Jeschuruns, der am Himmel daherfährt dir zur Hilfe und in seiner Hoheit auf den Wolken!
There is none like God, O righteous people, which rideth vpon the heauens for thine helpe, and on the cloudes in his glory.
27 Eine Zuflucht ist der ewige Gott, und hienieden regen sich ewige Arme. Er vertrieb vor dir den Feind und gebot: Vertilge!
The eternall God is thy refuge, and vnder his armes thou art for euer: hee shall cast out the enemie before thee, and will say, Destroy them.
28 Und so wohnte Israel in Sicherheit, abgesondert der Quell Jakobs, in einem Lande, voll Getreide und Most, und sein Himmel träufelt Tau.
Then Israel the fountaine of Iaakob shall dwell alone in safetie in a lande of wheat, and wine: also his heauens shall drop the dewe.
29 Heil dir, Israel! Wer ist wie du? - ein Volk, siegreich durch Jahwe! Er ist der Schild, der dir Hilfe bringt, und er das Schwert, das dich glorreich macht! Deine Feinde werden dir Freundschaft heucheln, und du wirst dahinschreiten über ihre Höhen.
Blessed art thou, O Israel: who is like vnto thee, O people saued by the Lord, the shielde of thine helpe, and which is the sword of thy glorie? therefore thine enemies shall bee in subiection to thee, and thou shalt tread vpon their hie places.
