Kolosser 3
1 Seid ihr nun mit Christus auferstanden, so trachtet nach dem, was droben ist, wo der Christus ist sitzend zur Rechten Gottes;
If therefore ye were raised with the Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 denket auf das was droben ist, nicht auf das, was auf Erden ist;
Think on the things above, not the things on the earth.
3 denn ihr seid gestorben und euer Leben ist verborgen mit dem Christus in Gott;
For ye died, and your life has been hidden with the Christ in God.
4 wenn der Christus offenbar wird, euer Leben, dann werdet auch ihr mit ihm offenbar werden in Herrlichkeit.
When the Christ, our life, is made known, then ye also will be made known with him in glory.
5 So tötet nun die Glieder, die auf der Erde: Unzucht, Unreinigkeit, Leidenschaft, böse Lust, und die Habsucht, die da ist Götzendienst,
Put to death therefore your body-parts on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 um derentwillen der Zorn Gottes kommt,
Because of which the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience,
7 worin auch ihr einst wandeltet, da ihr darin lebtet.
in which ye also once walked when ye lived in them.
8 Nun aber leget auch ihr alles ab: Zorn, Ungestüm, Bosheit, Lästerung, Schandrede aus eurem Munde,
But now ye also, put off all these things: anger, wrath, wickedness, reviling, filthy speaking out of your mouth.
9 lüget einander nicht an - nachdem ihr ausgezogen den alten Menschen mit seinen Thaten
Do not lie to each other, having stripped off the old man with his practices,
10 und angezogen den neuen, der erneuert wird zur Erkenntnis nach dem Bilde seines Schöpfers,
and having put on the new man, being renewed in knowledge according to an image of him who created him,
11 wo es nicht heißt Grieche und Jude, Beschnittener und Unbeschnittener, Barbar, Skythe, Knecht, Freier, sondern alles und in allen Christus.
where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman, but the all and in all, Christ.
12 So ziehet nun an als Auserwählte Gottes, heilige und geliebte, ein Herz des Erbarmens, Güte, Demut, Sanftmut, Langmut;
Put on therefore, as chosen men of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering,
13 einander tragend und einander verzeihend, wenn einer einen Vorwurf hat gegen einen andern: wie Christus seinerseits verziehen hat, so auch ihr.
forbearing each other, and forgiving yourselves, if any man has a complaint against any, just as also the Christ forgave you, so also ye,
14 Ueber das alles aber die Liebe, die da ist das Band der Vollkommenheit.
and above all these things, love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 Und der Friede des Christus führe das Wort in euren Herzen, zu welchem ihr auch berufen seid in Einem Leibe.
And let the peace of God umpire in your hearts, for which also ye were called in one body, and become thankful.
16 Auch werdet dankbar - das Wort des Christus wohne reichlich unter euch mit aller Weisheit - euch selbst belehrend und weisend mit Psalmen, Hymnen und geistlichen Liedern in Dank, singend Gott in euren Herzen;
Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing by grace in your hearts to God.
17 und, was ihr thun möget in Wort oder Werk, thut alles im Namen des Herrn Jesus, Gott dem Vater durch ihn dankend.
And all things, anything whatever ye may do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, expressing thanks to the God and Father through him.
18 Ihr Weiber, seid unterthan den Männern, wie es sich ziemt im Herrn.
Wives, be ye submissive to your own husbands as is proper in the Lord.
19 Ihr Männer, liebet die Weiber und lasset euch nicht gegen sie erbittern.
Husbands, love the wives and do not be made bitter against them.
20 Ihr Kinder, gehorchet den Eltern in allen Stücken, denn das ist wohlgefällig im Herrn.
Children, obey the parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
21 Ihr Väter, reizet eure Kinder nicht, damit sie nicht mutlos werden.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they may not be discouraged.
22 Ihr Knechte, gehorchet in allem euren Herrn nach dem Fleisch, nicht in Augendienerei als Menschengefällige, sondern in Herzenseinfalt als die den Herrn fürchten.
Bondmen, obey in all things those masters according to flesh, not in eye-service as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing God.
23 Was ihr thut, das thut von innen heraus als dem Herrn und nicht Menschen,
And all things, anything whatever ye may do, work from soul as to the Lord and not to men,
24 in dem Gedanken, daß ihr vom Herrn den Lohn des Erbes empfanget. Dienet dem Herrn Christus.
knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the reward of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 Denn der Unrecht thut, wird davon tragen, was er verschuldet; da gilt kein Ansehen der Person.
And he who does wrong will be recompensed what he did wrong, and there is no partiality.
