1 Da, im neunten Jahre seines Königtums, im zehnten Monat, am zehnten des Monats, rückte Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, mit seiner gesamten Heeresmacht gegen die Stadt Jerusalem an und belagerte sie, und sie errichteten rings um sie her einen Belagerungswall.
And in the ninth yeere of his reigne, the tenth moneth and tenth day of the moneth Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel came, he, and all his hoste against Ierusalem, and pitched against it, and they built fortes against it round about it.
2 Also geriet die Stadt in Belagerung bis zum elften Jahre des Königs Zedekia.
So the citie was besieged vnto the eleueth yeere of King Zedekiah.
3 Im vierten Monat, am neunten des Monats, als die Hungersnot in der Stadt überhand genommen und die Landbevölkerung nichts mehr zu essen hatte,
And the ninth day of the moneth the famine was sore in the citie, so that there was no bread for the people of the lande.
4 da wurde Bresche in die Stadt gelegt; und der König und alle Krieger flohen des Nachts durch das Thor zwischen den beiden Mauern, das am Königsgarten liegt, während die Chaldäer rings um die Stadt lagen, und zogen weiter in der Richtung nach der Steppe.
Then the citie was broken vp, and all the men of warre fled by night, by the way of the gate, which is betweene two walles that was by the Kings garden: nowe the Caldees were by the citie round about: and the King went by the way of the wildernesse.
5 Aber die Truppen der Chaldäer jagten dem Könige nach, und sie holten ihn ein in den Steppen von Jericho, nachdem ihn alle seine Truppen verlassen und sich zerstreut hatten.
But the armie of the Caldees pursued after the King, and tooke him in the desertes of Iericho, and all his hoste was scattered from him.
6 Und sie ergriffen den König und führten ihn zum Könige von Babel nach Ribla; der sprach ihm das Urteil.
Then they tooke the King, and caried him vp to the King of Babel to Riblah, where they gaue iudgement vpon him.
7 Die Söhne Zedekias schlachtete man vor seinen Augen; Zedekia aber ließ er blenden und in Ketten legen. Sodann brachten sie ihn nach Babel.
And they slew the sonnes of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bounde him in chaines, and caried him to Babel.
8 Im fünften Monat aber, am siebenten des Monats - das ist das neunzehnte Jahr des Königtums Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, - kam Nebusar-Adan, der Oberste der Leibwächter, des Königs von Babel vertrauter Diener, nach Jerusalem
And in the fift moneth, and seuenth day of the moneth, which was the nineteenth yere of King Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, came Nebuzar-adan chiefe stewarde and seruaunt of the King of Babel, to Ierusalem,
9 und verbrannte den Tempel Jahwes und den königlichen Palast und alle Häuser Jerusalems und alle großen Häuser verbrannte er mit Feuer.
And burnt the house of the Lord, and the Kings house, and all the houses of Ierusalem, and all the great houses burnt he with fire.
10 Die Mauern rings um Jerusalem aber wurden von sämtlichen Truppen der Chaldäer, die bei dem Obersten der Leibwächter waren, niedergerissen.
And all the armie of the Caldees that were with the chiefe stewarde, brake downe the walles of Ierusalem round about.
11 Und den Rest des Volks, die in der Stadt übrig Gebliebenen, und die Überläufer, die zum Könige von Babel übergelaufen waren, und den Rest der Landbevölkerung führte Nebusar-Adan, der Oberste der Leibwächter, hinweg nach Babel.
And the rest of the people that were left in the citie, and those that were fled and fallen to the King of Babel, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar-adan chiefe steward carie away captiue.
12 Von den geringen Leuten im Land aber ließ der Oberste der Leibwächter etliche als Winzer und als Ackerleute zurück.
But the chiefe steward left of the poore of the land to dresse the vines, and to till the land.
13 Aber die ehernen Säulen, welche am Tempel Jahwes waren, und die Gestühle und das eherne Meer, die im Tempel Jahwes waren, zerbrachen die Chaldäer und nahmen das Erz von denselben mit nach Babel.
Also the pillars of brasse that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen Sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Caldees breake, and caried the brasse of them to Babel.
14 Und die Töpfe, Schaufeln, Messer, Schalen und alle die ehernen Gefäße, mit denen man den Dienst verrichtete, nahmen sie weg.
The pots also and the besomes, and the instruments of musike, and the incense dishes, and al the vessels of brasse that they ministred in, tooke they away.
15 Auch die Kohlenpfannen und die Sprengschalen, was nur von purem Gold und Silber war, nahm der Oberste der Leibwächter weg.
And the asshe pannes, and the basens, and all that was of gold, and that was of siluer, tooke the chiefe steward away,
16 Die Säulen, zwei an der Zahl, das eine Meer und die Gestühle, die Salomo für den Tempel Jahwes angefertigt hatte, - das Erz aller dieser Geräte war nicht zu wägen.
With the two pillars, one Sea and the bases, which Salomon had made for the house of the Lord: the brasse of all these vessels was without weight.
17 Achtzehn Ellen betrug die Höhe der einen Säule, und oben auf ihr befand sich ein Knauf von Erz, und die Höhe des Knaufs betrug fünf Ellen, und ein Gitter und Granatäpfel waren ringsum an dem Knauf, alles von Erz; und eben solche hatte die zweite Säule. Es waren aber der Granatäpfel sechsundneunzig luftwärts; aller Granatäpfel waren hundert ringsum an dem Gitter.
The height of the one pillar was eighteene cubits, and the chapiter thereon was brasse, and the height of the chapiter was with networke three cubites, and pomegranates vpon the chapiter rounde about, all of brasse: and likewise was the second pillar with the networke.
18 Und der Oberste der Leibwächter nahm den Oberpriester Seraja und den zweithöchsten Priester Zephanja und die drei Schwellenhüter.
And the chiefe steward tooke Seraiah the chiefe Priest, and Zephaniah the second Priest, and the three keepers of the doore.
19 Und aus der Stadt nahm er einen Kämmerer, welcher Befehlshaber über die Kriegsleute war, und fünf Männer aus der ständigen Umgebung des Königs, die in der Stadt vorgefunden wurden, und den Schreiber des Feldhauptmanns, der die Landbevölkerung zum Kriegsdienst aushob, und sechzig Mann von der Landbevölkerung, die in der Stadt vorgefunden wurden.
And out of the citie hee tooke an Eunuch that had the ouersight of the men of warre, and fiue men of them that were in the Kinges presence, which were founde in the citie, and Sopher captaine of the hoste, who mustred the people of the lande, and threescore men of the people of the lande, that were founde in the citie.
20 Die also nahm Nebusar-Adan, der Oberste der Leibwächter, und brachte sie zum Könige von Babel nach Ribla.
And Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde tooke them, and brought them to the King of Babel to Riblah.
21 Der König von Babel aber ließ sie zu Ribla in der Landschaft Hamath hinrichten. Also ward Juda von seinem Boden hinweggeführt.
And the King of Babel smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Iudah was caried away captiue out of his owne land.
22 Über diejenigen aber, die im Lande Juda zurückgeblieben waren, die Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, übrig gelassen hatte, setzte er Gedalja, den Sohn Ahikams, des Sohnes Saphans.
Howbeit there remained people in the land of Iudah, whom Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel left, and made Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan ruler ouer them.
23 Als nun alle Heeresobersten samt den Kriegsleuten vernahmen, daß der König von Babel den Gedalja eingesetzt habe, begaben sie sich zu Gedalja nach Mizpa, nämlich Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, und Johanan, der Sohn Kareahs, und Seraja, der Sohn Thanhumets, aus Netopha, und Jaasanja, der Sohn des Maachathiters, samt ihren Leuten.
Then when all the captaines of the host and their men heard, that the king of Babel had made Gedaliah gouernour, they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, to wit, Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and Seraiah the sonne of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Iaazaniah the sonne of Maachathi, they and their men.
24 Und Gedalja schwur ihnen und ihren Leuten und sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht vor den Chaldäern; bleibt im Land und seid dem Könige von Babel unterthan, so soll es euch wohl ergehen!
And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and sayd vnto them, Feare not to be the seruants of the Caldees: dwell in the land, and serue the King of Babel, and ye shalbe well.
25 Aber im siebenten Monat erschien Ismael, der Sohn Nethanjas, des Sohnes Elisamas, aus königlichem Geschlecht, und mit ihm zehn Männer; und sie ermordeten Gedalja und die Juden und Chaldäer, die zu Mizpa bei ihm waren.
But in the seuenth moneth Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah the sonne of Elishama of the Kings seede, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, and he died, and so did he the Iewes, and the Caldees that were with him at Mizpah.
26 Da brach alles Volk vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten samt den Heeresobersten auf und begab sich nach Ägypten; denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Chaldäern.
Then all ye people both small and great, and the captaines of the armie arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraide of the Caldees.
27 Und im siebenunddreißigsten Jahre der Wegführung Jojachins, des Königs von Juda, im zwölften Monat, am siebenundzwanzigsten des Monats, begnadigte Ewil-Merodach, der König von Babel, - in dem Jahre, in welchem er König ward - Jojachin, den König von Juda, und befreite ihn aus dem Kerker;
Notwithstanding in the seuen and thirtieth yeere after Iehoiachin King of Iudah was caried away, in the twelft moneth and the seuen and twentieth day of the moneth, Euil-merodach King of Babel in the yeere that hee began to reigne, did lift vp the head of Iehoiachin King of Iudah out of the prison,
28 und er redete freundlich mit ihm und wies ihm seinen Sitz an über den anderen Königen, die bei ihm in Babel waren.
And spake kindly to him, and set his throne aboue the throne of the Kings that were with him in Babel,
29 Und er legte seine Gefängniskleider ab und speiste beständig in seiner Gegenwart, so lange er lebte.
And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eate bread before him, all the dayes of his life.
30 Sein Unterhalt aber - stetiger Unterhalt - wurde ihm, so viel er täglich bedurfte, sein ganzes Leben lang von seiten des Königs gewährt.
And his portion was a continual portion giuen him by the King, euery day a certaine, all the dayes of his life.
