2 Chronik 27
1 Fünfundzwanzig Jahre war Jotham alt, als er König ward, und sechzehn Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter aber hieß Jerusa, die Tochter Zadoks.
Iotham was fiue and twentie yere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Ierushah the daughter of Zadok.
2 Und er that, was Jahwe wohlgefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia gethan hatte; nur drang er nicht in den Tempel ein. Das Volk aber handelte noch immer verderbt.
And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord according to all that his father Vzziah did, saue that hee entred not into the Temple of the Lord, and the people did yet corrupt their wayes.
3 Derselbe baute das obere Thor am Tempel Jahwes; auch baute er viel an der Mauer des Ophel.
He buylt the hie gate of the house of the Lord, and he buylt very much on the wall of the castle.
4 Dazu baute er Städte auf dem Gebirge Juda und in den Wäldern baute er Schlösser und Türme.
Moreouer hee buylt cities in the mountaines of Iudah, and in the forests he buylt palaces and towres.
5 Derselbe führte auch Krieg mit dem Könige der Ammoniter und überwand sie. Da gaben ihm die Ammoniter in jenem Jahre hundert Talente Silber, zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste; diesen Betrag lieferten ihm die Ammoniter auch im zweiten und dritten Jahre.
And he fought with the King of the children of Ammon, and preuailed against them. And the children of Ammon gaue him the same yere an hundreth talents of siluer, and ten thousande measures of wheate, and ten thousand of barley: this did the children of Ammon giue him both in the second yeere and the third.
6 So wurde Jotham immer mächtiger; denn er führte seinen Wandel stetig im Angesichte Jahwes, seines Gottes.
So Iotham became mightie because hee directed his way before the Lord his God.
7 Was aber sonst noch von Jotham zu sagen ist und alle seine Kriege und Unternehmungen finden sich aufgezeichnet im Buche der Könige von Israel und Juda.
Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all his warres and his wayes, loe, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel, and Iudah.

9 Und Jotham legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Ahas ward König an seiner Statt.
And Iotham slept with his fathers, and they buryed him in the citie of Dauid: and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his stead.
