1 Koenige 1
1 Als nun der König David alt und hochbetagt war, konnte er nicht mehr warm werden, obgleich man ihn in Decken einhüllte.
And kyng Dauid wax eld, and hadde ful many daies of age; and whanne he was hilid with clothis, he was not maad hoot.
2 Da sprachen seine Diener zu ihm: Man muß für meinen Herrn, den König, ein Mädchen, welches noch Jungfrau ist, suchen, damit sie dem Könige aufwarte und ihm als Pflegerin diene; wenn die an deinem Busen liegt, so wird mein Herr, der König, warm werden.
Therfor hise seruauntis seiden to hym, Seke we to oure lord the kyng a yong wexynge virgyn; and stonde sche bifor the kyng, and nursche sche hym, and slepe in his bosum, and make hoot oure lord the kyng.
3 Und sie suchten im ganzen Gebiete Israels nach einem besonders schönen Mädchen und fanden Abisag von Sunem und brachten sie dem Könige;
Therfor thei souyten a yong wexyng virgyn, fair in alle the coostis of Israel; and thei founden Abisag of Sunam, and thei brouyten hir to the kyng.
4 die war ein überaus schönes Mädchen, und sie wurde des Königs Pflegerin und bediente ihn, aber der König wohnte ihr nicht bei.
Forsothe the damysel was ful fair, and sche slepte with the kyng, and mynystride to hym; forsothe the king knew not hir fleischli.
5 Adonia aber, der Haggith Sohn, überhob sich und meinte: Ich bins, der König wird! So schaffte er sich denn Wagen und Pferde an und fünfzig Mann, die vor ihm her liefen.
Sotheli Adonye, sone of Agith, was reisid, and seide, Y schal regne. And he made to hym a chare, and knyytis, and fifti men, that runnen bifor hym.
6 Und sein Vater hatte ihn nie in seinem Leben betrübt, daß er zu ihm gesagt hätte: Warum hast du dies oder das gethan? Und er war auch von sehr schöner Gestalt; dazu war er zunächst nach Absalom geboren.
Nether his fadir repreuyde hym ony tyme, and seide, Whi `didist thou this? Forsothe also he was ful fair, the secounde child aftir Absolon; and his word was with Joab,
7 Und er hatte Unterredungen mit Joab, dem Sohne der Zeruja, und mit dem Priester Abjathar, und sie unterstützten die Partei des Adonia.
sone of Saruye, and with `Abiathar, preest, that helpiden the partis of Adonye.
8 Der Priester Zadok dagegen und Benaja, der Sohn Jehojadas, und der Prophet Nathan, sowie Simei und Rei und die Gibborim Davids hielten es nicht mit Adonia.
Sotheli Sadoch, the preest, and Banaie, sone of Joiada, and Nathan, the prophete, and Semey, and Cerethi, and Ferethi, and al the strengthe of the oost of Dauid, weren not with Adonye.
9 Als nun Adonia bei dem Schlangenstein, der neben der Walkerquelle liegt, Schafe, Rinder und Mastkälber zum Opfermahle schlachtete, lud er dazu alle seine Brüder, die Prinzen, und alle Judäer, die des Königs Diener waren;
Therfor whanne rammes weren offrid, and caluys, and alle fatte thingis, bisidis the stoon Zoelech, that was nyy the welle of Rogel, Adonye clepide alle hise britheren, sones of the kyng, and alle the men of Juda, seruauntis of the kyng.
10 aber den Propheten Nathan, Benaja, die Gibborim und seinen Bruder Salomo lud er nicht dazu.
Sotheli `he clepide not Nathan, the profete, and Banaie, and alle stronge men, and Salomon, his brothir.
11 Da sprach Nathan zu Bathseba, der Mutter Salomos: Du hast doch gehört, daß Adonia, der Sohn der Haggith, König geworden ist, ohne daß David, unser Herr, darum weiß?
Therfor Nathan seide to Bersabee, modir of Salomon, Whether thou herdist, that Adonye, sone of Agith, regnede, and oure lord Dauid knoweth not this?
12 So laß mich dir nun einen Rat geben, wie du dein und deines Sohnes Salomo Leben erretten kannst.
Now therfor come thou, take thou counsel of me, and saue thi lijf, and of Salomon thi sone.
13 Gehe hinein zum Könige David und sprich zu ihm: Hast du nicht selbst, mein Herr und König, deiner Magd geschworen: dein Sohn Salomo soll nach mir König sein, und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen? Warum ist denn nun Adonia König geworden?
Go thou, and entre to kyng Dauid, and seie thou to hym, Whether not thou, my lord the kyng, hast swore to me, thin handmaide, and seidist, that Salomon thi sone schal regne aftir me, and he schal sitte in my trone?
14 Während du aber dort noch mit dem Könige redest, will ich nach dir hineinkommen und deine Worte bekräftigen.
Whi therfor regneth Adonye? And yit while thou schalt speke there with the kyng, Y schal come aftir thee, and `Y schal fille thi wordis.
15 Da ging Bathseba zum König in das innere Gemach hinein; der König aber war sehr alt, und Abisag von Sunem bediente den König.
Therfor Bersabee entride to the kyng in the closet; forsothe the kyng was ful eeld, and Abisag of Sunam `mynystride to hym.
16 Als sich nun Bathseba verneigt und vor dem Könige niedergeworfen hatte, fragte der König: Was begehrst du?
Bersabee bowide hir silf, and worschipide the kyng; to whom the kyng seide, What wolt thou to thee?
17 Sie erwiderte ihm: Mein Herr, du selbst hast deiner Magd bei Jahwe, deinem Gotte, geschworen: dein Sohn Salomo soll nach mir König sein und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen!
And sche answeride, and seide, My lord the kyng, thou hast swore to thin handmaide bi thi Lord God, Salomon thy sone schal regne aftir me, and he schal sitte in my trone;
18 Nun ist aber ja Adonia König geworden, und du, mein Herr und König, weißt nicht darum!
and lo! Adonye hath regnede now, `while thou, my lord the kyng, knowist not;
19 Und er hat Ochsen, Mastkälber und Schafe in Menge geschlachtet und alle königlichen Prinzen samt dem Priester Abjathar und Joab, dem Feldhauptmann, dazu geladen; deinen Knecht Salomo jedoch hat er nicht geladen.
he hath slayn oxis, and alle fatte thingis, and ful many rammes; and he clepide alle the sones of the king, also `Abiathar preest, and Joab, the prince of chyualri; but he clepide not Salomon, thi seruaunt.
20 Auf dich, mein Herr und König, sind nun die Augen von ganz Israel gerichtet, daß du ihnen kund thuest, wer nach dir, mein Herr und König, auf deinem Throne sitzen soll.
Netheles, my lord the kyng, the iyen of al Israel biholden in to thee, that thou schewe to hem, who owith to sitte in thi trone, my lord the kyng, aftir thee;
21 Sonst wird nicht ausbleiben: sobald sich mein Herr und König zu seinen Vätern legt, so werden ich und mein Sohn Salomo als Verbrecher dastehen!
and it schal be, whanne my lord the kyng hath slepte with hise fadris, Y and my sone Salomon schulen be synneris.
22 Während sie aber noch mit dem Könige redete, erschien der Prophet Nathan.
`While sche spak yit with the king, Nathan, the prophete, cam.
23 Da meldete man dem Könige: Der Prophet Nathan! Als er nun vor den König gekommen und sich vor ihm auf sein Angesicht zur Erde niedergeworfen hatte,
And thei telden to the kyng, and seiden, Nathan, the prophete, is present. And whanne he hadde entrid in the siyt of the kyng, and hadde worschipide hym lowli to erthe,
24 sprach Nathan: Mein Herr und König, hast denn du angeordnet: Adonia soll nach mir König sein, und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen?
Nathan seide, My lord the kyng, seidist thou, Adonye regne aftir me, and sitte he on my trone?
25 Denn er ist heute hinabgegangen und hat Ochsen, Mastkälber und Schafe in Menge geschlachtet und hat alle königlichen Prinzen geladen, dazu die Heeresobersten und den Priester Abjathar. Und nun essen und trinken sie vor ihm und rufen: Es lebe der König Adonia!
For he cam doun to dai, and offride oxis, and fatte thingis, and ful many wetheris; and he clepide alle the sones of the kyng, also Abiathar, preest; and whanne thei eten, and drunken bifor hym, and seiden, Kyng Adonye lyue;
26 Mich selbst aber, deinen Knecht, sowie den Priester Zadok, Benaja, den Sohn Jehojadas, und deinen Knecht Salomo hat er nicht geladen.
he clepide not me, thi seruaunt, and Sadoch, preest, and Banaie, sone of Joiada, and Salomon, thi sone.
27 Ist dies alles etwa auf Befehl meines königlichen Herrn geschehen, indem du deinen Knecht nicht wissen ließest, wer nach dir, mein Herr und König, auf deinem Throne sitzen soll?
Whether this word yede out fro my lord the kyng, and thou schewidist not to me, thi seruaunt, who schulde sitte on the trone of my lord the king after hym?
28 Da antwortete der König David und sprach: Ruft mir Bathseba! Als sie nun hineingekommen war vor den König und vor dem Könige stand,
And kyng Dauid answeride, and seide, Clepe ye Bersabee to me. And whanne sche hadde entrid bifor the kyng, and hadde stonde bifor hym, the kyng swoor,
29 da schwur der König und sprach: So wahr Jahwe lebt, der mich aus allen Nöten errettet hat -
and seide, The Lord lyueth, that delyueryde my lijf fro al angwisch;
30 wie ich dir geschworen habe bei Jahwe, dem Gott Israels: dein Sohn Salomo soll nach mir König sein und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen an meiner Statt! so will ich es heute wahrmachen.
for as Y swore to thee bi the Lord God of Israel, and seide, Salomon, thi sone, schal regne after me, and he schal sitte on my trone for me, so Y schal do to dai.
31 Da verneigte sich Bathseba mit ihrem Antlitz bis zur Erde, fiel vor dem Könige nieder und sprach: Mein Herr, der König David, lebe immerdar!
And Bersabee, with the cheer cast doun in to erthe, worschipide the kyng, and seide, My lord the kyng Dauid lyue with outen ende.
32 Und der König David gebot: Ruft mir den Priester Zadok, den Propheten Nathan und Benaja, den Sohn Jehojadas. Als sie nun hineingekommen waren vor den König,
And kyng Dauid seide, Clepe ye Sadoch, the preest, to me, and Nathan, the prophete, and Banaie, sone of Joiada. And whanne thei hadden entrid bifor the kyng,
33 gebot ihnen der König: Nehmt eures Herrn Diener mit euch; sodann laßt meinen Sohn Salomo mein eigenes Maultier besteigen und führt ihn hinab zur Quelle Gihon.
the kyng seide to hem, Take with you the seruauntis of youre lord, and putte ye my sone Salomon on my mule, and lede ye hym in to Gyon.
34 Dort soll ihn der Priester Zadok und der Prophet Nathan zum König über Israel salben; alsdann stoßt in die Posaune und ruft: Es lebe der König Salomo!
And Sadoch, the preest, and Nathan, the profete, anoynte hym in to kyng on Israel and Juda; and ye schulen synge with a clarioun, and ye schulen seie, Lyue kyng Salomon!
35 Sodann zieht hinter ihm drein wieder herauf, damit er hereinkomme und sich auf meinen Thron setze und er König sei an meiner Statt; denn ihn habe ich bestellt, daß er Fürst sei über Israel und Juda.
Ye schulen stie aftir hym, and ye schulen come to Jerusalem; and he schal sitte on my trone, and he schal regne for me; and Y schal comaunde to hym, that he be duyk on Israel and on Juda.
36 Da antwortete Benaja, der Sohn Jehojadas, dem König und sprach: So sei es! Also wolle es Jahwe, der Gott meines Herrn, des Königs!
And Banaie, sone of Joiada, answeride to the kyng, and seide, Amen, `that is, so be it, ether verili, ether feithfuli; so speke the Lord God of my lord the kyng.
37 Wie Jahwe mit meinem Herrn, dem Könige, gewesen ist, also sei er auch mit Salomo und mache seinen Thron noch erhabener, als den meines Herrn, des Königs David!
As the Lord was with my lord the kyng, so be he with Salomon, and make he the trone of Salomon heiyere than the trone of my lord the kyng Dauid.
38 Da gingen der Priester Zadok und der Prophet Nathan und Benaja, der Sohn Jehojadas, samt den Krethern und Plethern hinab, und sie ließen Salomo das Maultier des Königs David besteigen und geleiteten ihn zur Quelle Gihon.
Therfor Sadoch, the preest, yede doun, and Nathan, the prophete, and Banaie, sone of Joiada, and Cerethi, and Ferethi; and thei puttiden Salomon on the mule of Dauid, the kyng, and thei brouyten hym in to Gion.
39 Sodann nahm der Priester Zadok das Ölhorn aus dem Zelt und salbte Salomo. Hierauf stießen sie in die Posaune, und alles Volk rief: Es lebe der König Salomo!
And Sadoch, the preest, took an horn of oile of the tabernacle, and anoyntide Salomon; and thei sungen with a clarioun; and al the puple seide, Lyue kyng Salomon!
40 Und alles Volk zog hinter ihm her hinauf; dabei bliesen die Leute auf Flöten und jauchzten dermaßen, daß schier die Erde barst von ihrem Geschrei.
And al the multitude stiede after hym, and the puple of men syngynge with pipis, and `of men beynge glad with greet ioye, `stiede aftir hym; and the erthe sownede of the cry of hem.
41 Das hörte Adonia samt allen Geladenen, die sich bei ihm befanden, als sie eben das Mahl beendigt hatten. Als aber Joab den Posaunenschall hörte, sprach er: Was bedeutet das Lärmen und Toben in der Stadt?
Forsothe Adonye herde, and alle that weren clepid of hym to feeste; and thanne the feeste was endid. But also Joab seide, whanne the vois of trumpe was herd, What wole it to it silf the cry of the citee makynge noise?
42 Während er noch redete, kam Jonathan, der Sohn des Priester Abjathar. Adonia aber sprach: Komm her, denn du bist ein wackerer Mann und wirst gute Botschaft bringen!
Yit the while he spak, Jonathan, sone of Abiathar, the preest, cam; to whom Adonye seide, Entre thou, for thou art a strong man, and tellynge goode thingis.
43 Da antwortete Jonathan und sprach zu Adonia: Jawohl! unser Herr, der König David, hat Salomo zum Könige gemacht!
And Jonathan answeride to Adonye, Nay; for oure lord the kyng Dauid hath ordeyned Salomon kyng;
44 Und zwar hat ihm der König den Priester Zadok, den Propheten Nathan und Benaja, den Sohn Jehojadas, samt den Krethern und Plethern mitgegeben; die haben ihn des Königs Maultier besteigen lassen,
and Dauid sente with Salomon Sadoch, the preest, and Nathan, the prophete, and Banaie, sone of Joiada, and Cerethi, and Ferethi; and thei puttiden Salomon on the mule of the kyng.
45 dann haben ihn der Priester Zadok und der Prophet Nathan an der Quelle Gihon zum Könige gesalbt und sind mit Jauchzen von dort heraufgezogen, so daß die Stadt in Aufruhr geriet. Das bedeutete der Lärm, den ihr gehört habt.
And Sadoch, the preest, and Nathan, the prophete, anoyntiden hym kyng in Gion; and thei camen doun fro thennus beynge glad, and the citee sownede; this is the vois which ye herden.
46 Weiter aber hat sich Salomo auf den königlichen Thron gesetzt,
But also Salomon sittith on the trone of rewme;
47 und die Diener des Königs sind bereits hineingegangen, unserem Herrn, dem Könige David, Glück zu wünschen, indem sie sprechen: Dein Gott mache den Namen Salomos noch herrlicher, als dein Name ist, und mache seinen Thron noch erhabener, als deinen Thron! Und der König hat sich auf seinem Lager verneigt.
and the seruauntis of the kyng entriden, and blessiden oure lord the kyng Dauid, and seiden, God make large the name of Salomon aboue thi name, and magnyfye his trone aboue thi trone. And kyng Dauid worschipide in his bed;
48 Und weiter hat der König also gesprochen: Gepriesen sei Jahwe, der Gott Israels, der es heute gefügt hat, daß einer auf meinem Throne sitzt, so daß meine Augen es sehen.
and ferthermore he spak these thingis, Blessid be the Lord God of Israel, that yaf to dai a sittere in my trone, while myn iyen seen.
49 Da erschraken alle, die von Adonia geladen waren, brachen auf und gingen ein jeglicher seines Wegs.
Therfor alle, that weren clepid of Adonye to feeste, weren aferd, and risiden, and ech man yede in to his weie.
50 Adonia aber war voll Furcht vor Salomo, eilte hin und erfaßte die Hörner des Altars.
Sotheli Adonye dredde Salomon, and roos, and yede in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and helde the horn of the auter.
51 Als nun Salomo gemeldet wurde: Adonia hält jetzt aus Furcht vor dem Könige Salomo die Hörner des Altars gefaßt und spricht: Der König Salomo muß mir zuvor schwören, daß er seinen Knecht nicht hinrichten lassen will! -
And thei telden to Salomon, and seiden, Lo! Adonye dredith the kyng Salomon, and holdith the horn of the auter, and seith, Kyng Salomon swere to me to dai, that he schal not sle his seruaunt bi swerd.
52 da entschied Salomo: Wird er sich als ein wackerer Mann erweisen, so soll keines seiner Haare auf die Erde fallen; wird sich aber befinden, daß er Böses thut, so muß er sterben!
And Salomon seide, If he is a good man, sotheli not oon heer of hym schal falle in to erthe; but if yuel be foundun in hym, he schal die.
53 So holten ihn denn die Boten des Königs Salomo vom Altar herab; und als er hineinkam, fiel er vor dem Könige Salomo nieder. Salomo aber sprach zu ihm: Gehe in dein Haus!
Therfor kyng Salomon sente, and ledde `hym out fro the auter; and he entride, and worschipide kyng Salomon; and Salomon seide to hym, Go in to thin hows.
