1 Johannes 5
1 Jeder der glaubt, daß Jesus der Christus ist, ist aus Gott gezeugt. Und jeder, der seinen Erzeuger liebt, liebt auch den, der von ihm gezeugt ist;
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ hath been born of God; and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth also him that hath been begotten of him.
2 daran erkennen wir, daß wir die Kinder Gottes lieben, wofern wir Gott lieben und seine Gebote thun.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and do his commandments.
3 Denn dies ist die Liebe Gottes, daß wir seine Gebote halten.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not burdensome,
4 Und seine Gebote sind nicht drückend, weil alles, was aus Gott gezeugt ist, die Welt überwindet, und dies ist der Sieg, der die Welt überwunden hat: unser Glaube.
because whatever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith.
5 Wer ist es, der die Welt überwindet, als der da glaubt, daß Jesus der Sohn Gottes ist?
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Dieser ist es, der gekommen ist durch Wasser und Blut: Jesus Christus; nicht mit dem Wasser allein, sondern mit dem Wasser und mit dem Blut; und der Geist ist es, der zeugt, weil der Geist die Wahrheit ist.
This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood; and the Spirit is that which beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 So sind es drei die da zeugen:
8 der Geist, das Wasser, und das Blut, und die drei sind einig.
For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.
9 Wenn wir das Zeugnis der Menschen annehmen, nun das Zeugnis Gottes ist größer; denn dies ist Gottes Zeugnis, daß er gezeugt hat von seinem Sohn.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God, that he hath borne witness concerning his Son.
10 Wer an den Sohn Gottes glaubt, hat das Zeugnis durch ihn; wer Gott nicht glaubt, hat ihn zum Lügner gemacht, weil er nicht geglaubt hat an das Zeugnis, welches Gott gezeugt hat über seinen Sohn.
He that believeth in the Son of God hath the witness within him; he that believeth not God hath made him a liar, because he hath not believed in the witness which God hath borne concerning his Son.
11 Und dies ist das Zeugnis: daß uns Gott ewiges Leben gegeben hat, und dieses Leben in seinem Sohne ist. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the witness, that God gave to us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Wer den Sohn hat, hat das Leben; wer den Sohn Gottes nicht hat, hat das Leben nicht.
He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.
13 Dieses habe ich euch geschrieben, damit ihr wisset, daß ihr ewiges Leben habt, euch die ihr glaubt an den Namen des Sohnes Gottes. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye who believe in the name of the Son of God have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
14 Und dies ist die Zuversicht, die wir zu ihm haben, daß wenn wir etwas bitten nach seinem Willen, er uns erhört.
And this is the confidence which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us;
15 Und wenn wir wissen, daß er uns auf unser Bitten erhört, so wissen wir, daß uns die Bitten sicher sind, die wir von ihm erbeten haben.
and if we know that he heareth us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of him.
16 Wenn einer seinen Bruder sündigen sieht, eine Sünde nicht zum Tode, so soll er bitten, und er wird ihm Leben geben, nämlich solchen, die nicht zum Tode sündigen. Es gibt eine Sünde zum Tode, davon rede ich nicht, daß man dafür bitten soll.
If any one see his brother sin a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and shall give him life, —to those who sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death; for that I do not say that he shall pray.
17 Jede Ungerechtigkeit ist Sünde, so gibt es auch Sünde die nicht zum Tode ist.
All unrighteousness is sin; and there is a sin not unto death.
18 Wir wissen, daß jeder, der aus Gott gezeugt ist, nicht sündigt, sondern wer aus Gott gezeugt ward, hält fest an ihm, und der Böse rührt ihn nicht an.
We know that whoever hath been born of God sinneth not; but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the Evil One toucheth him not.
19 Wir wissen, daß wir aus Gott sind, und die ganze Welt im Bösen liegt.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth under the dominion of the Evil One.
20 Wir wissen aber, daß der Sohn Gottes gekommen ist, und er hat uns Einsicht verliehen, daß wir den Wahrhaftigen erkennen, und wir sind in dem Wahrhaftigen, in seinem Sohne Jesus Christus; das ist der wahrhaftige Gott und ewiges Leben. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One; and we are in the True One, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
21 Kinder, hütet euch vor den Götzen.
My children, keep yourselves from idols.
