1 Korinther 3
1 So konnte ich, Brüder, zu euch nicht reden, wie zu geistlichen, sondern wie zu Menschen von Fleisch, zu unmündigen in Christus.
And I, brothers, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but instead as to fleshly people, as to little children in Christ.
2 Milch gab ich euch zu trinken, nicht feste Speise. Ihr vermochtet es noch nicht, ach ihr vermöget es ja auch jetzt noch nicht.
I fed you milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it; and even now you are not yet ready.
3 Denn noch seid ihr fleischlich. Ist ja Eifersucht und Hader unter euch zu Hause: heißt das nicht fleischlich sein und ächt menschlich sich gebahren?
For you are still fleshly. For where jealousy and strife exist among you, are you not living according to the flesh, and are you not walking by human standards?
4 Wenn der eine sagt: ich bin vom Paulus, der andere: ich bin vom Apollos - ist das nicht nach Menschen Art?
For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” are you not living as human beings?
5 Was ist denn Apollos? was ist denn Paulus? Gehilfen sind sie, durch welche ihr zum Glauben kamt, und zwar je nach dem Maße, wie es jedem der Herr verliehen hat.
Who then is Apollos? Who is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, to each of whom the Lord gave tasks.
6 Ich habe gepflanzt, Apollos hat begossen, doch Gott hat es wachsen lassen.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.
7 Weder auf den der pflanzt, kommt es an, noch auf den der begießt, sondern auf den Gott, der wachsen läßt.
So then, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything. But it is God who gives the growth.
8 Der Pflanzende aber und der Begießende gehören zusammen, nur wird jeder seinen besonderen Lohn bekommen, je nach seiner Leistung.
Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own wages according to his own labor.
9 Wir sind Gottes Gehilfen, ihr seid Gottes Ackerfeld, Gottes Bau.
For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's garden, God's building.
10 Nach der mir verliehenen Gnade Gottes habe ich wie ein umsichtiger Baumeister den Grund gelegt, ein anderer baut darauf. Doch sehe jeder zu, wie er darauf baut.
According to the grace of God that was given to me as a skilled master builder, I laid a foundation and another is building on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.
11 Denn einen anderen Grund kann zwar keiner legen als der da liegt, nämlich Jesus Christus.
For no one can lay a foundation other than the one that has been laid, that is, Jesus Christ.
12 Ob aber einer auf diesen Grund baut Gold, Silber, Edelsteine, Holz, Heu, Stroh, -
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
13 eines jeden Werk wird offenbar werden, jener Tag wird es offenbar machen, denn er offenbart sich mit Feuer, und was an der Arbeit eines jeden ist, wird eben das Feuer bewähren.
his work will be revealed, for the daylight will reveal it. For it will be revealed in fire. The fire will test the quality of what each one had done.
14 Bleibt das Werk das er aufgebaut, so wird er Lohn empfangen.
If anyone's work remains, he will receive a reward;
15 Wird sein Werk verbrannt, so kommt er darum, er für seine Person kann nur wie durchs Feuer hindurch gerettet werden.
but if anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, as though escaping through fire.
16 Wisset ihr nicht, daß ihr Gottes Tempel seid, und der Geist Gottes in euch wohnt?
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
17 Wer aber den Tempel Gottes verdirbt, den wird Gott verderben. Denn der Tempel Gottes ist heilig, das seid ihr.
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and so are you.
18 Keiner betrüge sich selbst. Wenn einer unter euch für weise gilt in dieser Welt, der werde erst ein Thor, um weise zu werden. (aiōn g165)
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a “fool” that he may become wise. (aiōn g165)
19 Denn die Weisheit dieser Welt ist Thorheit bei Gott. Denn es steht geschrieben: Der da fängt die Weisen in ihrer Klugheit.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”
20 Und wiederum: Der Herr kennt die Gedanken der Weisen, daß sie eitel sind.
And again, “The Lord knows that the reasoning of the wise is futile.”
21 So rühme sich keiner eines Menschen. Es ist alles euer:
For this reason, let no one boast in men. All things are yours,
22 heiße es Paulus, Apollos, Kephas, Welt, Leben, Tod, Gegenwart, Zukunft, Alles ist euer,
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All things are yours,
23 ihr aber seid Christus', Christus aber ist Gottes.
and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
