1 Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerson, Kahath und Merari.

3 Und die Söhne Amrams: Aaron, Mose und Mirjam. Und die Söhne Aarons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.

4 Eleasar erzeugte Pinehas, Pinehas erzeugte Abisua,
Eleazar was the father of Phinehas, Phinehas was the father of Abishua,
5 Abisua erzeugte Bukki, Bukki erzeugte Ussi,
Abishua was the father of Bukki, Bukki was the father of Uzzi,

Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth,

Meraioth was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
8 Ahitub erzeugte Zadok, Zadok erzeugte Ahimaaz,
Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz,
9 Ahimaaz erzeugte Asarja, Asarja erzeugte Johanan,
Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, Azariah was the father of Johanan,
10 Johanan erzeugte Asarja; das ist der, welcher Priesterdienst that in dem Tempel, den Salomo zu Jerusalem erbaut hatte.
Johanan was the father of Azariah, who served as priest in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem,
11 Asarja aber erzeugte Amarja, Amarja erzeugte Ahitub,
Azariah was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,
12 Ahitub erzeugte Zadok, Zadok erzeugte Sallum,
Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Shallum,
13 Sallum erzeugte Hilkia, Hilkia erzeugte Asarja,
Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, Hilkiah was the father of Azariah,
14 Asarja erzeugte Seraja, Seraja erzeugte Jozadak.
Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak.
15 Jozadak aber zog von dannen, als Jahwe die Bewohner von Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar hinwegführen ließ.
Jehozadak went into captivity when the LORD sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
16 Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerson, Kahath und Merari.
The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
17 Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Gersoms: Libni und Simei.
These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
18 Und die Söhne Kahaths waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
19 Die Söhne Meraris waren: Maheli und Musi. Und dies sind die Geschlechter der Leviten nach ihren Familien:

20 Von Gersom kamen: sein Sohn Libni, dessen Sohn Jahath, dessen Sohn Simna,

31 Und das sind die, welche David für den Gesang im Tempel Jahwes bestellte, nachdem die Lade einen Ruheort gefunden hatte;
These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the LORD after the ark rested there.
32 sie hatten den Dienst als Sänger vor der Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes, bis Salomo den Tempel Jahwes zu Jerusalem erbaute, und verrichteten ihr Amt nach der für sie geltenden Vorschrift.
They ministered with song before the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, until Solomon built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem. And they performed their duties according to the regulations given them.
33 Und das sind die, welche das Amt führten, und ihre Söhne: Von den Söhnen der Kahathiter: Heman, der Sänger, der Sohn Joels, des Sohnes Samuels,
These are the men who served, together with their sons. From the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

48 Und ihre Brüder, die Leviten, waren für den gesamten Dienst an der Wohnung des Tempels Gottes bestellt.
Their fellow Levites were assigned to every kind of service of the tabernacle, the house of God.
49 Aaron aber und seine Söhne besorgten den Opferdienst am Brandopferaltar und am Räucheraltar und den gesamten Dienst am Allerheiligsten und die Beschaffung der Sühne für Israel, genau nach der Vorschrift, die Mose, der Knecht Gottes, gegeben hatte.
But Aaron and his sons did all the work of the Most Holy Place. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
50 Und dies sind die Söhne Aarons: sein Sohn Eleasar, dessen Sohn Pinehas, dessen Sohn Abisua,

Now these were the territories assigned to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clan for their settlements, because the first lot fell to them:

They were given Hebron in the land of Judah and its surrounding pasturelands.

57 Den Nachkommen Aarons aber übergaben sie die Zufluchtstadt für Totschläger Hebron und Libna samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jattin und Esthemoa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
So the descendants of Aaron were given Hebron (a city of refuge), Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa,
58 Holon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Debir samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
Hilen, Debir,
59 Asan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jutta samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Beth-Semes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
Ashan, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, together with their pasturelands.
60 Und vom Stamme Benjamin: Gibeon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Geba samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Alemeth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anathoth mit den zugehörigen Weidetriften. Die Gesamtzahl ihrer Städte betrug dreizehn Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
And from the tribe of Benjamin they were given Gibeon, Geba, Alemeth, and Anathoth, together with their pasturelands. So they had thirteen cities in all among their families.
61 Die übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths aber erhielten von den Geschlechtern des Stammes Ephraim und vom Stamme Dan und vom halben Stamme Manasse durch das Los zehn Städte.
To the rest of the Kohathites, ten cities were allotted from the half-tribe of Manasseh.
62 Die Nachkommen Gersoms aber nach ihren Geschlechtern erhielten vom Stamme Issachar und vom Stamme Asser und vom Stamme Naphtalie und vom Stamme Manasse in Basan dreizehn Städte.
The Gershomites, according to their clans, were allotted thirteen cities from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Manasseh in Bashan.
63 Die Nachkommen Meraris nach ihren Geschlechtern erhielten vom Stamme Ruben und vom Stamme Gad und vom Stamme Sebulon durch das Los zwölf Städte.
The Merarites, according to their families, were allotted twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
64 So übergaben die Israeliten den Leviten die Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
So the Israelites gave to the Levites these cities and their pasturelands.
65 Und zwar traten sie auf Grund des Loses vom Stamme der Judäer und vom Stamme der Simeoniten und vom Stamme der Benjaminiten jene namentlich benannten Städte ab.
They assigned by lot the cities named above from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
66 Und was die Geschlechter der Nachkommen Kahaths betrifft, so wurden ihnen die Städte, die ihnen durch das Los zufielen, vom Stamm Ephraim abgetreten.
And some of the clans of the Kohathites were given cities from the tribe of Ephraim for their territory:
67 Und zwar übergab man ihnen die Zufluchtsstadt für Totschläger, Sichem, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften auf dem Gebirge Ephraim, Geser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
They were given Shechem (a city of refuge) with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim, and Gezer,
68 Jokmeam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Beth Horon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
Jokmeam, Beth-horon,
69 Ajalon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Gath-Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon, together with their pasturelands.
70 Und vom halben Stamme Manasse: Thaanach samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jibleam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - den Geschlechtern der übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths.
And from the half-tribe of Manasseh the remaining clans of the Kohathites were given Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands.
71 Die Nachkommen Gersoms erhielten vom halben Stamme Manasse: Golam in Basan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Astaroth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
The Gershomites received the following: From the clan of the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan and also Ashtaroth, together with their pasturelands.
72 Und vom Stamme Issachar: Kedes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Dabrath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

73 Ramoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anem samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

From the tribe of Asher they were given Mashal, Abdon,
75 Helkath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Rehob samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
Hukok, and Rehob, together with their pasturelands.
76 Und vom Stamme Naphtalie: Kedes im Galil samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Hammoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Kirjathaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee, Hammon, and Kiriathaim, together with their pasturelands.
77 Die übrigen Nachkommen Meraris erhielten vom Stamme Sebulon: Rimmono samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Thabor samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
The Merarites (the rest of the Levites) received the following: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Rimmono and Tabor, together with their pasturelands.
78 Und jenseits des Jordans gegenüber von Jericho, östlich vom Jordan, erhielten sie vom Stamme Ruben: Bezer in der Steppe samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jahza samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
From the tribe of Reuben east of the Jordan opposite Jericho they were given Bezer in the wilderness, Jahzah,
79 Kedemoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Mephaath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

80 Und vom Stamme Gad: Ramoth in Gilead samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Mahanaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, Mahanaim,
81 Hesbon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jaser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
Heshbon, and Jazer, together with their pasturelands.
