1 Chronik 12
1 Und dies sind die, welche zu David nach Ziklag kamen, als er noch vor Saul, dem Sohne Kis', auf der Flucht war. Auch sie gehörten zu den Helden als Helfer im Streit,
Now these are they that came to David to Siceleg, while he yet fled from Saul the son of Cia, and they were most valiant and excellent warriors,
2 mit Bogen bewaffnet und geschickt, mit der Rechten und der linken Steine zu schleudern und Pfeile zu schießen. Von den Stammesgenossen Sauls, den Benjaminiten:
Bending the bow, and using either hand in hurling stones with slings, and shooting arrows: of the brethren of Saul of Benjamin.
3 Der Hauptmann Ahieser und Joas, die Söhne Hassemaas von Gibea, Jesiel und Pelet, die Söhne Asmaweths, Beracha und Jehu von Anathoth.
The chief was Ahiezer, and Joas, the sons of Samaa of Gabaath, and Jaziel, and Phallet the sons of Azmoth, and Beracha, and Jehu an Anathothite.
4 Jismaja von Gibeon, ein Held unter den dreißig und ein Anführer der dreißig; Jeremia, Jahasiel, Johanan und Josabad von Gedera.
And Samaias of Gabaon, the stoutest amongst the thirty and over the thirty; Jeremias, and Jeheziel, and Johanan, and Jezabad of Gaderoth;
5 Eleusai, Jerimoth, Bealja, Semarja und Sephatja von Hariph;
And Eluzai, and Jerimuth, and Baalia, and Samaria, and Saphatia the Haruphite;
6 Elkana, Jissija, Asareel, Joeser und Jasobeam, die Korhiter;
Elcana, and Jesia, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jesbaam of Carehim:
7 Joela und Sebadja, die Söhne Jerohams von Gedor.
And Joela, and Zabadia the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Von den Gaditen gingen zu David über - auf seine Burg in der Wüste - tapfere Männer, kampfgerüstete Krieger, die Schild und Lanze führten, die anzusehen waren wie Löwen und schnellfüßig wie Gazellen auf den Bergen:
From Gaddi also there went over to David, when he lay hid in the wilderness most valiant men, and excellent warriors, holding shield and spear: whose faces were like the faces of a lion, and they were swift like the roebucks on the mountains.
9 Eser, der Hauptmann, Obadja, der zweite, Eliab, der dritte,
Ezer the chief, Obdias the second, Eliab the third,
10 Mismanna, der vierte, Jeremia, der fünfte,
Masmana the fourth, Jeremias the fifth.
11 Attai, der sechste, Eliel, der siebente,
Ethi the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Johanan, der achte, Elsabad, der neunte,
Johanan the eighth, Elzebad the ninth,
13 Jeremia, der zehnte, Machbannai, der elfte.
Jerenias the tenth, Machbani the eleventh,
14 Diese kamen von den Gaditen, die Heerführer, deren Geringster es mit hundert, deren größter es mit tausend aufnehmen konnte.
These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the army: the least of them was captain over a hundred soldiers, and the greatest over a thousand.
15 Diese waren es, die den Jordan überschritten im ersten Monat, als er seine Ufer bis an den Rand füllte, und die alle Bewohner der Seitenthäler in die Flucht jagten, nach Osten und nach Westen.
These are they who passed over the Jordan in the first month, when it is used to how over its banks: and they put to flight all that dwelt in the valleys both toward the east and toward the west.
16 Es kamen aber auch etliche von den Benjaminiten und Judäern bis zur Burg Davids.
And there came also of the men of Benjamin, and of Juda to the hold, in which David abode.
17 Da ging David hinaus, trat vor sie, hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr in friedlicher Absicht zu mir kommt, um mir beizustehen, so will ich mich von Herzen mit euch vereinigen; kommt ihr aber, um mich an meine Feinde zu verraten, obschon kein Frevel an meinen Händen klebt, so sehe der Gott unserer Väter darein und strafe es!
And David went out to meet them, and said: If you are come peaceably to me to help me, let my heart be joined to you: but if you plot against me for my enemies whereas I have no iniquity in my hands, let the God of our fathers see, and judge.
18 Da ergriff der Geist Amasai, das Oberhaupt der dreißig, und er rief: Dein, o David, und mit dir, Sohn Isais! Heil. Heil dir und Heil deinen Helfern, denn dir half dein Gott! Da nahm sie David an und machte sie zu Hauptleuten der Kriegerschar.
But the spirit came upon Amasai the chief among thirty, and he said: We are thine, O David, and for thee, O son of Isai: peace, peace be to thee, and peace to thy helpers. For thy God helpeth thee. So David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19 Von Manasse gingen zu David über, als er mit den Philistern zum Kampfe gegen Saul auszog, - doch halfen sie ihnen in Wahrheit nicht; denn die Fürsten der Philister schickten ihn, nachdem sie Rat gepflogen, hinweg, indem sie sprachen: er könnte mit Darangabe unserer Köpfe zu Saul, seinem Herrn, übergegen.
And there were some of Manasses that went over to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to fight: but he did not fight with them: because the lords of the Philistines taking counsel sent him back, saying: With the danger of our heads he will return to his master Saul.
20 Als er nun nach Ziklag zog, gingen von Manasse zu ihm über: - Adnah, Josabad, Jediael, Michael, Josabad, Elihu und Zillethai, die Häupter der Tausendschaften in Manasse.
So when he went back to Siceleg, there fled to him of Manasses, Ednas and Jozabad, and Jedihel, and Michael, and Ednas, and Jozabad, and Eliu, and Salathi, captains of thousands in Manasses.
21 Diese nun verbündeten sich mit David gegen die Räuberschar, denn sie waren insgesamt tapfere Männer und wurden Anführer im Heere.
These helped David against the rovers: for they were all most valiant men, and were made commanders in the army.
22 Denn Tag für Tag kamen welche zu David, um ihm beizustehen, bis das Heer groß war, wie ein Gottesheer.
Moreover day by day there came some to David to help him till they became a great number, like the army of God.
23 Und dies sind die Zahlen der Häupter der zum Heereszuge Gerüsteten, die zu David nach Hebron kamen, um ihm gemäß dem Befehle Jahwes das Königtum Sauls zu übertragen:
And this is the number of the chiefs of the army who came to David, when he was in Hebron, to transfer to him the kingdom of Saul, according to the word of the Lord.
24 Judäer, die Schild und Lanze trugen: 6800 zum Heereszuge Gerüstete.
The sons of Juda bearing shield and spear, six thousand eight hundred well appointed to war.
25 Von den Simeoniten: 7100 tapfere Krieger.
Of the sons of Simeon valiant men for war, seven thousand one hundred.
26 Von den Leviten: 4600.
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand six hundred.
27 Dazu Jojada, der Fürst über die aus dem Hause Aarons, mit 3700
And Joiada prince of the race of Aaron, and with him three thousand seven hundred.
28 und Zadok, ein tapferer Jüngling; seine Familie zählte 22 Anführer.
Sadoc also a young man of excellent disposition, and the house of his father, twenty-two principal men.
29 Von den Benjaminiten, den Stammesgenossen Sauls: 3000; denn bis dahin hielten die Meisten von ihnen am Hause Sauls fest.
And of the sons of Benjamin the brethren of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto a great part of them followed the house of Saul.
30 Von den Ephraimiten: 20800 tapfere, in ihren Familien hochberühmte Männer.
And of the sons of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, men of great valour renowned in their kindreds.
31 Vom halben Stamm Manasse: 18000, die namentlich bezeichnet waren, daß sie hingehen sollten, um David zum Könige zu machen.
And of the half tribe of Manasses, eighteen thousand, every one by their names, came to make David king.
32 Von den Nachkommen Issachars, die um die Zeitläufe Bescheid wußten, so daß sie wußten, was Israel thun solle: 200 Hauptleute und ihre sämtlichen Stammesgenossen unter ihrem Befehl.
Also of the sons of Issachar men of understanding, that knew all times to order what Israel should do, two hundred principal men: and all the rest of the tribe followed their counsel.
33 Von Sebulon: 50000 Kriegstüchtige, mit allerlei kriegerischen Waffen zum Kampfe Gerüstete und bereit, einmütig im Streite mitzuhelfen.
And of Zabulon such as went forth to battle, and stood in array well appointed with armour for war, there came fifty thousand to his aid, with no double heart.
34 Von Naphtali: 1000 Anführer und mit ihnen 37000 mit Schild und Speer.
And of Nephtali, a thousand leaders: and with them seven and thirty thousand, furnished with shield and spear.
35 Von den Daniten 28600 zum Kampfe Gerüstete.
Of Dan also twenty-eight thousand six hundred prepared for battle.
36 Von Asser: 40000 Kriegstüchtige, bereit, Krieg zu führen.
And of Aser forty thousand going forth to fight, and challenging in battle.
37 Von jenseits des Jordan: Von den Rubeniten, den Gaditen und dem halben Stamme Manasse: 120000 mit allerlei zur Kriegführung dienenden Waffen.
And on the other side of the Jordan of the sons of Ruben, and of Gad, and of the half of the tribe of Manasses a hundred and twenty thousand, furnished with arms for war.
38 Alle diese, in Schlachtreihe geordnete Krieger, kamen einmütig nach Hebron, um David über ganz Israel zum Könige zu machen.
All these men of war well appointed to fight, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 Und sie blieben drei Tage dort bei David und aßen und tranken, denn ihre Volksgenossen hatten für sie zugerichtet.
And they were there with David three days eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40 Dazu brachten die, die in der Nähe von ihnen wohnten, bis nach Issachar, Sebulon und Naphtali hin, Lebensmittel auf Eseln, Kamelen, Maultieren und Rindern: Mehl zur Nahrung, Feigenkuchen, Rosinenkuchen, Wein, Öl und Rinder und Schafe in Menge; denn es herrschte Freude in Israel.
Moreover they that were near them even as far as Issachar, and Zabulon, and Nephtali, brought leaves on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, to eat: meal, figs, raisins, wine, oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance, for there was joy in Israel.
