Offenbarung 6
1 Ich hatte ein Gesicht: Das Lamm öffnete das erste der sieben Siegel. Da hörte ich das erste der vier Lebewesen donnernd rufen: "Komm!"
And I saw that the Lamb opened one of the seven seals. And I heard one of the four living creatures saying like the sound of thunder, Come and see.
2 Ich schaute hin, und siehe, da war ein weißes Roß. Der auf ihm saß, trug einen Bogen; es ward ihm auch ein Kranz gegeben. So zog er als ein Sieger aus, um zu siegen.
And behold, a white horse, and he who sits on it having a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering, and so that he might conquer.
3 Als es das zweite Siegel öffnete, hörte ich das zweite Lebewesen rufen: "Komm!"
And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come.
4 Alsdann erschien ein anderes Roß, rot wie Feuer, und seinem Reiter ward die Macht verliehen, den Frieden von der Erde zu nehmen, damit die Menschen gegenseitig sich abschlachten; auch wurde ihm ein großes Schwert gereicht.
And another horse came forth, fiery red. And it was given to him (to him who sits on it) to take peace from the earth, so that they would kill each other. And a great sword was given to him.
5 Und als es dann das dritte Siegel öffnete, hörte ich das dritte Lebewesen rufen: "Komm!" Da schaute ich, und siehe, da war ein schwarzes Roß, sein Reiter hatte eine Waage in der Hand.
And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come and see. And behold, a black horse, and he who sits on it having a balance in his hand.
6 Da hörte ich, wie eine Stimme inmitten der vier Lebewesen rief: "Ein Maß Weizen für einen Denar, und drei Maß Gerste für einen Denar, und Öl und Wein vergeude nicht!"
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius. And thou may not harm the olive oil and the wine.
7 Als es das vierte Siegel öffnete, hörte ich die Stimme des vierten Lebewesens rufen: "Komm!"
And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature saying, Come and see.
8 Da schaute ich, und siehe, da war ein fahles Roß; sein Reiter hieß der Tod, und mit ihm zog die Unterwelt. Es wurde ihnen Gewalt gegeben über den vierten Teil der Erde, zu morden durch Schwert und Hunger, durch Pest und durch die Tiere der Erde. (Hadēs g86)
And behold, a green horse, and he who sits on top of it. His name was Death, and Hades followed with him. And authority was given to him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with starvation, and with what is deadly, and by the beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Als es das fünfte Siegel öffnete, sah ich unter dem Altare die Seelen derer, die hingeschlachtet waren des Wortes Gottes und des Zeugnisses wegen, an denen sie festgehalten.
And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of the Lamb that they held.
10 Mit lauter Stimme riefen sie und sprachen: "Wann endlich, o heiliger, wahrhaftiger Herr, wirst Du richten und rächen an den Erdbewohnern unser Blut?"
And they cried out in a great voice, saying, Master, Holy and True, how long do thou not judge and avenge our blood from those who dwell on the earth?
11 Da wurde jedem aus ihnen ein weißes Gewand gereicht und ihnen zugerufen, sie möchten sich noch kurze Zeit gedulden, bis ihre Mitknechte und ihre Brüder vollzählig geworden seien, die getötet werden sollten, wie sie selber.
And a white robe was given to them each, and it was said to them that they should still rest a time, until also their fellow bondmen, and their brothers, and those going to be killed as they too, would be fulfilled.
12 Als es das sechste Siegel öffnete, schaute ich, und es entstand ein gewaltiges Beben; die Sonne wurde schwarz gleich einem härenen Trauerkleid, der ganze Mond war wie Blut.
And I looked when he opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake occurred, and the sun became black as hairy sackcloth, and the whole moon became as blood.
13 Die Sterne des Himmels fielen auf die Erde, wie der Feigenbaum die Früchte abwirft, wenn ihn ein starker Sturm durchschüttelt.
And the stars of the sky fell to the earth as a fig tree that casts its unripe figs being shaken by a great wind.
14 Der Himmel wich zurück wie eine Rolle, die sich zusammenrollt; jeder Berg und jede Insel wurden von ihrer Stelle weggerückt.
And the sky departed as a scroll being rolled up. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Die Könige der Erde, die Großen und die Obersten, die Reichen und die Mächtigen, jeder Sklave und Freie verbargen sich in Höhlen und in Felsen der Gebirge.
And the kings of the earth, and the rulers, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.
16 Sie riefen den Bergen und den Felsen zu: "Fallet über uns, verbergt uns vor dem Angesichte dessen, der auf dem Throne sitzt, und vor dem Zorn des Lammes!
And they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.
17 Gekommen ist der große Tag ihres Zornes. Wer könnte da bestehen?"
Because the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand?
